Can i get banned for being a literal robot

Randomly thought about this 2 minutes ago.

Let's say I suffer serious injuries in a car accident and I lose both arms. My nervous system connecting my brain to my arms are repaired by nanobots and I get my arms replaced with artificial, robotic ones. This means I am capable of achieving inhuman results in nearly all aspects of life. I can stream 420bpm with 0 unstable rate and I can FC jump maps first try that are virtually impossible for present-day pro players to FC in 1000 tries. Am I technically at risk of a ban due to external modification/unfair advantage?

I think you can get banned, as you have an unfair advantage against natural players. However, the argument of "anyone can modify his body" would come up pretty quickly. As in, if one person can get arm modifications, then that means that everyone else can, and if it's a perfectly accessible modification, then it would be no different than getting a monitor with a high refresh rate or getting a professional mechanical keyboard.

I believe some asked a similar question to ppy and he said something along the lines of "we'll see when we GT there", but I have no proof.

In professional sports, this will prob will require a separate category. I can argue that you can get an unfair advantage in sports with doping, which is prohibited for that very reason, and is accessible enough to warrant checks on athletes.

If we could get info about such hardware for difficulty and pp calc, you bet it would be taken into account. Just like touch screen.

This is a good point. A major difference between big, physical sports and osu, however, is the fact that athletes make millions of dollars a year by playing the sport while osu players get a worthless number and rank next to their usernames. The stakes are much lower, and ppy more lenient with it.

Maybe so. However, it would be pretty hard to detect bionics, I think. Sure, you can easily detect a perfect play like OP describes, but what if you miss a few notes on purpose to make it believable? It wouldn't take long for people to make missing algorithms for their bionics to make it look realistic enough to pass for a real play. What then? You can't do anything if you can't detect it, like you said. Eventually, an overwhelming majority will have undetectable bionic arms and everyone who doesn't will get left in the dust, PP wise.

Rules need to be set imo. Fingers are controlled by the brain, which is sending signals to raise and lower fingers. If you can make a bionic hand which you need to send a signal to indicating how many bpm to tap at, this removes part(s) of the human element. I can go on and argue that being able to feel lack of energy in the fingers is also a human element.

Then the game would be reduced to solely reading and mind endurance, since physical stamina and finger speed would be removed, right?

If that's the case, then I think 10+ minute maps will become meta.

I see the future. Players creating drama over how they are at a disadvantage because 10+ minute maps are so much easier for those who has bionics. Arguments to remove aim and stamina from pp, but it goes nowhere because that makes pp nothing. A player mentions to try put reading into pp once more. Gets wrecked in the next several posts. To that day nobody knows how to put reading into pp due to subjectivity, and the one time it was tried, it was a disaster.
