why tf are the taps in the public bathrooms always like a million degrees without the ability to change temperature

is it because it's more hygenic? is it because they want people to use water less to save on their water bill? why

I never have this experience, my only complaint about the taps is that the handles are very stiff; either you dont get any water or you blast you palms with a pressure washer.

Idk, but they're always a bit cold here and usually use sensors.

Generally hot water is better to wash with though

i can't fucking wash my hands if i can only put them under for a second if i don't want to end up with third degree burns

and the hot ones are always the ones with sensors, like you have to activate the sensor so many times because it lasts 1.5 seconds and the hand dryer is always like 200 decibels jumpscare

the ones with the lever tap things are the only ok ones, and the ones with the rotating taps are always like a power washer

Here it's usually freezing cold water.
Also yeah these sensor taps are awful and should be removed from existence.

you have to use a smaller amount of water for it not to burn you, and yes they use hot water only because that kills germs (therefore more hygenic)

and those sensor taps, absolute nightmare to deal with. back at my old school i often had to full on bash the thing with my foot for it to actually work
