which makes Aishite x3 the winner (sorry corne). but it does mean we finally get closer to starting to map. first, however, we need to decide on a target difficulty. i'll handle the other settings based on that

this poll will last for 3 days (72 hours) from when this is posted

if any of the options tie, a tiebreaker round will be held for 2 days (48 hours). during the tiebreaker, if any options tie, one will be picked at random. if all options tie, one will be picked at random

pro tip: rather than SR just define a difficulty (Easy, normal, hard, insane, expert),

It's the better way of defining difficutly, now, if you vote like expert, then it makes more sense to really stablish sr if you guys want to map a 8* (which I don't recommend because the note count would make this thread impossible to finish but you guys have already voted for a 4 minute long song so you were already fucked beforehand)

ok, how about this: i'll make the poll pure difficulty and leave out the star rating. it's the easiest way i can think of to resolve this

this makes our target difficulty insane. i'll be giving people some time to queue before i release the map (probably tomorrow) and we start mapping. you can either look at the queue section/combo section in the main thread for how things will work, or in the boxes below

the first combo will be done by myself

combo rules
we'll be mapping a single difficulty in osu!standard

>
> don't worry about hitsounding. i'll handle that once (if) the map is done

> you're free to add inherited timing points, but not uninherited timing points
> you can only use inherited timing points for slider velocity

> timing points marking the start/end of kiais have already been added by me

you're all free to queue now, by the way

not much i can do about it, unfortunately

though that sort of thing is exactly why i make the turns 48 hours long. there's no rush to get it done as soon as the message gets sent out, just do it whenever you have the time. it's ideal for it not to take the whole submission period, though

and it loops back to me. if anyone else has the time and wants to make a combo, i'd appreciate it (even if you can't auto-queue). it really doesn't bother me if you aren't a good mapper. it'll be impressive if this gets finished at all lol

yeah like nothing's stopping you outside of maybe spare time

simplified queueing explanations
/queue -> finish part, out the queue (queueing is manual)
/queue auto -> finish part, get put back into queue (queueing is automatic)

actually surprising how close this is to done. i went into this expecting it to die after maybe a month. did a small bit of janitorial work, you'll see it in the difficulty rating. current drain time in title as well

well, i say done, but yk. cleanup. main body of the map done would be more accurate

does anybody read these things?

wow it's actually finished. like i've said before, i was honestly expecting this to die, yet it didn't. so y'know. cool

two versions of the map uploaded as of now:
multimapper madness -> og version of the combos (as uploaded)
multimapper asylum -> minimally edited version for playability

there'll be a third "cleanup" version as well to give it a more sane structure (though i will try to retain as much of the original combos as possible), whenever i get around to that. not sure what it'll be called. we'll see. i'll be giving asylum one last lookover as well later, so i might make another update post for that

hitsounding, too, so maybe i'll make that update along with it

funnily enough i was thinking about that a little earlier since i realized i could piece together who mapped which combo from the update logs. maybe i'll use it to show the percentages of how much people mapped as well

Use the timestamps instead of percentage, we usually can't see them through gameplay, and you can even turn the timestamps into clickable links that put you in the correct time in the editor.

this is just so you guys know i've checked through asylum for what should be the last time and have added (amateur-ass) hitsounds. will start doing the proper cleanup. decided i'd call it "multimapper medication" since there's been this whole madness theme with the difficulty names so far. also working on getting all the timestamps together for combos rn, don't know when i'll post extra data

i'm calling off the cleanup, at least in terms of me personally doing it. i don't have the motivation nor desire to keep pushing on, and it's distracting me from things i'd much rather do. may as well say it upfront

if anyone wants to run the cleanup yourself, go ahead. just talk to me and we can work something out. but i ask you to post updates on this thread (or your own) yourself because i don't really want be touching this forum anymore. i'll still edit op to credit you, and update the mapset
