As per article XXXVII of the OT!Constitution, I am required to give you all an end-of-term address. Might as well give it my best shot.
2022 was an interesting year for OT. Things around here shifted in a number of ways that couldn't quite be predicted. Generation 9 commenced, and with that came a shift in the meta once more. Game nights waned in popularity and the art of shitposting took its place. That isn't to say that group activities were dead, of course. Things like the OT!Mapping contest inspired the community to come together and create works of art. OT has changed, and I'd like to think it's mostly for the better.
Obviously, there was more I could have done. I wish I had been able to do more. But unfortunately, for a variety of reasons that I do not feel like sharing to strangers on an internet forum, things just didn't turn out that way. I'd like to think, however, that the small bits I was able to do helped make OT, at the very least, more interesting during our little scuffles over denizenship.
Moving forward, I'm hopeful for a future with EBLF as president of this fine subforum. I have faith that he will be able to be a competent, capable leader for his tenure, and I wish him the best of luck.
In this upcoming year, I would recommend the OT!Government and the OT!Parliament to coordinate more. There should no longer be any instances where a member of the government is absent without notice for a prolonged period of time. I would also recommend to the OT!Parliament to get off their damn asses. But like, in a totally playful and friendly way. Finally, I recommend that steps be taken to implement the policy changes that were brought up during my tenure that were unfortunately unable to be completed.
I can't say I've enjoyed the time spent being your president, but at the very least, I have no regrets.
See you next time.
