Despite being legal, it doesn't mean that it would stay legal for long.
Polygamy has been existent in almost every culture when we look at the past, and it doesn't turn out to be as optimal as monogamy.
Even Turkey banned Polygamy despite strengthening their past culture through reforms.
India recently banned polygamy for all people, regardless of background, in 2015 stating that it isn't integral/essential to any culture.
And it can even be seen in a bunch of those countries where polygamy is legal, that it doesn't seem as mainstream nor complies with the acceptance of people there.
Even back while polygamy was legal for Muslims in India, Muslims already frowned upon the practice of it as most are educated and are well aware of the consequences. Same goes for Bhutan where it is currently legal.
Perhaps the only place where you would be able to freely practise without being oppressed or backlashed against would be either the more remote/secluded places or the areas where it is commonly practised around.
