I'd love to save that shit
there is a difference between popular+controversial and popular+noncontroversial, there's plenty of highly acclaimed maps that aren't random objectshuu wrote:
Judging from the early responses in this thread, it kinda proves my own theory I held in the past that popular doesn't mean it should be Loved. Yet everyone kept telling me that Loved is a popularity contest or whatever.
I know that we have 10 more days of voting but past experience can be used to predict the outcome in this scenario. If you know - you know.
also highly agree on this one, esp. since scoring survey is taking priority on client rnAacai wrote:
Just gonna say this now, I appreciate what you are doing here, trying to show that you are gonna nominate highly favourited/played maps, but I hope the outcome of this doesn't prevent you from continuing to, because I still believe the outreach/advertising for loved is abysmal and can be integrated in the game client much better to reach the wider player audience (who this map caters to)
Hey there, thanks for your input, we are experimenting ideas and will still experiment new ones in the near future to get the best outcome and make it as interesting as possible for the community!Aacai wrote:

Frankly I think our current system is quite good and fair. If a map is so problematic that it warrants such a large amount of the community speaking out and voting against it, there's clearly an issue at play. Of course, our current system favor's the voices of the more ingrained, dedicated, community members, but that seems appropriate given said community members are generally much more knowledgeable and experienced with the game, and far more capable of giving a critical review of a map.FinnaDie wrote:
imo loved voting system needs some kind of rework. A map like this is clearly "loved" by the community (10mill plays 6k favs) but obviously this will never pass the voting, same as stuff like goodbye moonmen. Maps like these will never be loved with the current system even though they are clearly "loved" maps.
A very objective reason is that it is mistimed and has notes that don't fall onto the music. The mapping itself is not very good either in my eyes, but that is a more subjective take.- Mahiro - wrote:
Anyone can tldr why beatmapset is bad?
I'm extremely curious, but can't play since at outside rn
Personally I think the timings is very little to be considered mistimed, but the mapping is absolutely badWixonater wrote:

i don't understand your thought process. what are we supposed to judge other than the way it's mapped?Zavie wrote:
Yall really saying it's a bad map because of the way it's mapped lmao. Like yall will SIMP OVER ANYTHING that has a background pic of sum little 10 y.o anime girl whos blessed xD
I completely and 100% agree with this statement. Looking back, this map is pretty ass ,but it helped me with my jump training when I was a newly made 6 digit. I don't think this should be graveyard for its popularity but for the mapping its self, yes, graveyard it. Yet, because of the popularity, it probably won't be graveyard.SuperSane wrote:
pretty popular map in 6 digit host rotate. alot of people play the map and it's pretty iconic and nostalgic for newer gen players (including me)KEFRMO wrote:

with tht being said, this map is too dogshit to be anywhere but graveyard. a map like bedroom community, for example is iconic, and a well-built map. this map is iconic, but literally ass
I did the same thing lolHashtagszsz wrote:

this map got favs cuz it's song is popular.SSScotty wrote:
Obviously this map isn't going to get loved, but just the fact that it's up for nomination is a big positive. Maps with lots of favorites, like this, is what project loved is for, its much better to let the community decide on a map with thousands of favorites, than a map with 60 favorites that only got selected because lvd staff liked it. I mean just look at the community engagement on this map compared to something like Mousou Happy End from January. Sometimes a popular map will get rejected sometimes it wont, but the fact that staff are letting us decide is a big step forward.
