The kanji for Shirou (not shiro) seem like a normal-ish name with no deep meaning, the first kanji, meaning gentleman and the second kanji, it's rougly like the -son termination in english names.
Oo + kami (turned into gami because of rendaku), means big/great and god respectively. So Oogami means great god literally, and God, metaphorically.
