I thought DTB (Dodge the beat) mode is fun, BUT...

How do you calculate the score?
How do you calculate the accuracy?
How do you calculate the combo?

Not only CTB mode IF you want to implemented but also how about other modes like osu!STD, osu!mania, and Taiko?

well, I just searching the DTB and found it just only for CTB mode.

It's interesting because we calculate those things by hitting or aiming something, but here we are doing the opposite. So, the lowest % accuracy is the winner?
Or lowest score like 00000000 is the winner?

And, how about when we add some mods, like HR, HD, DT, or FL?
Is the score must supposed to be like a minus?

or we can just have the beginning like 2m or 5m then "decount" when you dont dodge something

How about this:

My mad ideas for Touhosu!

You have 3 hit Zones: 100x, hit, and graze. The size of those zones is determined by the difficulty. with high difficulty, you get more bullets, and the zones get smaller (so you can still have fun playing easy maps and it doesn't get too easy).

You get points for every full set of bullet spray dodged. For example a 5 red hit notes combo will spawn 5 enemies and every enemy shoots at you. If you dodge every bullet in that wave, you get 5x 300, if you get hit you get a penalty. Getting hit at the middle of the hit box, causes a combo break, 0x points from that single enemy. Getting hit at the border of the middle hitbox causes you to get only 100x points from that enemy, but no combo break. So by playing you should get points for:

A. Not getting hit "Dodging"
B. Having as many bullets as possible in your graze area. (grazing should be easier than in touhou)
(C. Killing enemies?)

Your accuracy should rize with every dodged wave from an enemy, and fall from each hit (100 or X)

Just wanted to spread my idea of how i imagine Touhosu. I think it should be possible to develop this mode, and even peppy said he will do it, and it will be good

imo score should keep increasing, depending on the combo
like 10x combo = 100score/sec , 20x = 200/sec idk

this is not in the english wiki of osu but in the french one there's this:

well peppy kinda confirmed that it will. Most likely will be there with the release of the new osu interface, when the new page is 100% ready too.

While I also REALLY hope that that will be the case, i remember looking at those osu!next photos in the osu!next blog, and it was a photo of the beatmap selection screen where there were the gamemode icons at the top, and there were only 4, no fifth one

c; you won't know until osu! next is released! There is still a lot of work to go into it! I would rather not them rush osu!next. I'm sure Touhosu! Will be released by the time osu!next is since mapping this gamemode would need a revamp of the editor to support it.

Yeah youre right. Man Ive been so hyped for Touhosu ever since I found out about it 4 years ago or so. It just sounds so amazing, Touhou styled bullet shooter, with custom beatmaps, a beatmap editor for it, I'd be so down to mapping for it the second it comes out. NIGHTCORE BEATMAPS on Touhosu

I agree with you, it's better to not rush osu!next. I rather get things delayed and completed than get things "NOW" with so many mistakes. But I'm not sure they will release Touhosu! with osu!next, it seems that touhosu! will take longer than that x.x

Screenshot of very early stage of a prototype (started like 4.5 days ago, screenshot was from like day 2) I'm making for my game design course. Prototype wont be finished until next Wednesday. 7 years ago this was posted. Would love to see this come a reality. The only issue I am seeing with this is converting the sliders, spinners etc into this game mode and still having it be really enjoyable

While it's nice that there is someone working on it, it kinda disappoints me that it moving toward settling on the classic touhou approach. It would be awesome if we got more interesting mechanics than dodging little circles and shooting at bosses. I can think of several things on how to make this more interesting and allow it to be more rhythm based.

How about polygon shapes that mappers can make transform to the music? You would need to dodge those shapes, but also allow to press buttons to change color to dodge things by going through them like in undertale? How about things popping into existence on the location you currently are standing on at every beat to require you to move?
