I don't think that there is much of an issue with the quality and it would be a shame to remove it. I think the issue is with how osu zooms in on 1:1 videos to become 1:0.5625 on widescreen and 1:0.75 on standard.Lust wrote:
The video is of very poor quality. Either find a new one or remove it.
Here's the original quality for comparison: https://copy.com/fAF7afYhTXJEHlG9
Here's a 16:9 with black borders and compression: https://copy.com/b6DlHf0W7Z0BUSNK
Here's a 16:9 with even more black borders and compression: https://copy.com/AnJweCjufzTlF1Nl
Or just use the one I made in the ranked version.
Personally this looks like all other chinese maps I'm used to seeing and there are many people who like them, otherwise they wouldn't keep getting mapped and ranked. "object placement with little basis in the music" has never been a high priority for the majority of osu anyway as seen by Val0108 and nold_1072 to name 2. I believe by "quality" there are a few things that can be improved on:winber1 wrote:
It just annoys me when people say maps like these lacking in quality, because really it's just an opinion and a debatable one at taht. Perhaps I'm too oldgen now, who knows.

The placement of virtually all the compressed streams is manually done via grid snap, when it's so much better to turn off grid snap for the middle notes and use a constant compression spacing. Some are 0.3 others are 0.4, and this lack of consistency looks bad.
