If i can get confirmation on that, i'll make the necessary arrangements to have them changed.

And as far as my progress on this skin, it came to a halt when my computer went out. It'll still be some time before i can get a new one too.

Not at all, much appreciated. 1 question though. Are the 12.3 pictures for china any different than the IaMP pictures? If so could you make one for that too?

I made a "better" Okuu comboburst. The one posted by Soaprman is cut off on the right side, and looks kinda bad during play. This one fades to transparent and looks better in osu!

The Sanae one MIGHT be a problem too, but I haven't personally tested it.

I actually made 10 UNL style combobursts and uploaded them here if you or anyone else cares. Most of them are just alternates of characters already included, but it does have Sanae, Suwako, and Okuu.

How about i make some generic temporary ones? Just for the record i tried to line them up according to the mod screen, but i didn't actually look at it. Some might be off in comparison

You could always go for the SWR style character portraits and fill in the others with the art by that one guy who made all the SWR style portraits.

Examples. I cut these out in about 3 seconds just to show off what I mean; they are obviously not finished products:

I'm kind of thinking Aya is more appropriate on being the Double Time icon since she's the fastest in Gensokyo even though of Youmu's 200 Yojana in One Slash that can circle the earth in half an hour, but whatever.

Well, what about using the ZUNart for the mod icons? The art would all be consistent with itself.

That's what I was gonna do way back when I was gonna make a Touhou skin. :P

It won't be consistant, actually. Artwork varies slightly game to game. There are 13 mods to cover. That means 13 characters.

Also, no suika art.

Even though I never played any Touhou games, skin looks great on the thread :)

I dunno if it's just me, but the download link isn't working :cry:. So is it just me, or not?

Ah right, forgot about that. It's been a while since I played a Touhou game, computer problems.

And there is Suika art, as ZUN drew out a design for Suika...

How about the sprites, then? The difference in their style from game to game is a bit less, uh... different than the portraits.
And everyone (apart from Tenshi and Iku) has a sprite.

Actually, the sprites are shrunken versions of the full images. It is rather hard to tell the difference after they're shrunk though.

Oh, wow, thanks a lot!

Actually i have one request. Can you remake them to have the English text layer on top of the Japanese? Also can you fix pause-continue.png to the right edge does not have a hard right edge? You can see it cut off here: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/4006

EDIT: Also, apparently the Japanese text in fail-background.png needs to be fixed as well. Do you think you could make another one that looks similar to the one i already use? If not, don't worry about it.

Is it possible to release an update where the click sound is a little bit quieter?

They are way louder then the rest of the sounds and music, that loud and high that it's annoying when i'm using my Ultimate Ears - MetroFi 220

I don't have any qualms with this skin other than the volume for the menu sounds. They seem to be over twice of what they are when I play actual Touhou games and just, well... too loud.

An update.

Touhou 0.4
-Updated version from 0.3 to 0.4. This is important!
-Slightly reduced image size of combobursts. Only slightly though, as I do not want to make them midgets.
-Reduced image size of scorebar-colour.png and scorebar-bg.png.
-Alternate scorebar-colour.png (scorebar-colour-ALTERNATE).png included for those who do not like how I make the scorebar. Rename to use.(I make it so that if does not appear to be draining until you've lost a bit of life.)
-Added a missing pixel to star.png. That was annoying to look at!
-Lowered all menu sounds by 1.5 dB. I hope that will cover all the complaint I've had about those.
-Thanks to Sanae: ranking-back, ranking-replay, ranking-retry, pause-back, pause-continue, pause-retry. All should have correct Japanese now.
-Removed GAME OVER. It was a bit much.

I agree they need them. The problem is "what should they be?" I've thought long and hard about this and have yet come up with something i'm happy with.

It's in the skinning subsection. I don't see how the joke is harmful in any way whatsoever.

It's not like there's a skinning approval team for osume.
from memory, approved skins are shown approved with the approved icon.
and approved skins are then put into osume. that's how those other skins made the osume (though that was AGES ago, so i don't know about now).

if it's just me being overly silly then i'm sorry~

Two Three things I should note.

1. The cursor can be hard to see with shader effects enabled during spinners.

Wow, this is the best Touhou skin I can find! This really goes great with my majority of Touhou (and Pokemon..) maps! However I would like some different combobursts.....
