So..I am testing the version 2.3 of my skin
it seems 2.3 version do not support a full size of ranking panel? A bar left at top of my ranking panel
If not, anyone can help me to fix it

Ranking panels which covers entierly the beatmap background are only supported in Version 1 skins. If you're using a Version 2+ skin, making these ranking panels would not cover backgrounds entirely due to its shifted offset.Chaoslitz wrote:

I am not sure which image you are talking about@@Dudge wrote:
Just wondering, is there a way to change the background when your in the ranking panel menu? I think it was playfield.png but its not working. The image I'm using is 1366 x 768 resolution.
Don't worry, figured it out myself. Thanks for the reply.Chaoslitz wrote:

but a playfield (playfield.png) is different from the ranking panel (ranking-panel.png)
A playfield appear like thse when a beatmap don't own a background photo
Do you mean the default skin templates? Those do not use the ranking letters I posted. If you mean another template can you please send me a link because I cannot find any others on the first page.Elzapatoverde wrote:

You have to put it under the [Colours] section, not somewhere else.TeaDots wrote:

I really dislike this change that was made a little while ago, specially the part about changing the stars colors too.
volume-bar can't be skinned. volume-bg-effect is shown when you rotate the mouse wheel or change music with the arrow keys while holding the Alt-key.[cocoa] wrote:

- And what name of these three element?
You should also change SongSelectInactiveText.TeaDots wrote:

Short example and explanation on the new default sliderball. They are called sliderb, sliderb-nd, and sliderb-spec.
Sadly they only work on the default sliderball. You can apply the sliderb-nd and sliderb-spec to the default ball but you can't apply them when you have a custom sliderball for now.
that only applies to the sounds, not the images.Granger wrote:

Try naming selected pictures "comboburst-0", "comboburst-1", "comboburst-2" etc. without ComboBurstRandom in skin.ini.Granger wrote:

Im trying to have those only appear at 500 combo steps... oh well that works too i guess, a lot of blank images then. :VMLGnom wrote:

In the skin.ini-file set "HitCircleOverlap:" found in the [Fonts] section to the max width of your default numbers or 999 if you're not sure.dragonhuman- wrote:

You will sometimes see the 1 behind another number when reaching 10 or above but you can't do anything against that.
Judging from my own experiments I can assure that if you set it to 160 that won't happen if you scaled them right (or your width of the images, 999 was just an example).dragonhuman- wrote:

Making skin version 1 would cause a thousand other problems even if it fixes this 1, so not worth.dws123 wrote:

There's really no reason for them not to work :/ They all work on both my desktop and laptop, are you starting to name them on "comboburst-0"? They should work. Also they're not mine, I took it from another skin after seeing it on several others as well.-Shireishi- wrote:
Hey guys, this is the first time I ever posted anything in osu!forum so please forgive me if there is something wrong with my post, thank you.
I tried some skinning myself (just mixing some skins) and I found one skin with combobursts. As I heard the voice in the combobursts, I immidiately want to apply them in my skin. So I just copy and paste (so sorry if that was rude, but I do not claim them as mine, it was this skin t/224240 )
But I cannot get them all to work when I play. I can only hear the combobreak sound.
It wasn't a big disappoint to me until today, when I record a replay I played, I can hear them VERY nice. And it just pisses me off
Can any1 help me please?

it's really weird how they do not work while I play, or when I watch replays. But when record it sounds just fine
I think they'll use the SD version if HD isn't available.Mara wrote:

There's actually a tool (3P software, I forgot where the heck I DL'ed ) that easily scales HD to SD.Milhofo wrote:

If you're playing widescreen then you should make HD versions of the numbers (twice the size), because you're using lower quality numbers for a higher resolution. It's always easier to make the HD version first (add "@2x" at the end) and then resize it 50% smaller for PC's with lower resolutions. Because if you do the SD version first you will lose quality making the HD version.notNala wrote:

EDIT: If someone can help with the percent sign too, one of the circles in it look like a square even though when I look at it in paint.net it looks exactly the same
