Replayscan't view the replays because map has been updated since
sorryyy
[General]
- Timing at the beginning feels a bit off to me. Then again my accuacy has been totally derpy these days since I barely play anymore.
- To be honest, this is the best JNT map I've played as of yet, lol.
- I'm totally fine with the whistles, but you might wanna lower the volume a bit so they don't sound thaaaaat "screeching".
i'm more confident in the timing now than before, but i definitely plan to have it checked by an expert before rank, so do not worry~
glad to hear you think it's the best JnT you've played
whistles... again i really don't want to change, but looks like there's many people against it. will have to consider more seriously now...
[Liberty]
Yupp, I like this diff quite a lot compared to every other JNT map out there. 00:50:014 (8,9,1) - These doubles don't play that well though imo. 01:02:205 (8,9,1) - etc. It's only those where it's a 2-note stack, then a slider that throws me off. I don't know, the flow just doesn't feel as good for these as for the other note/slider jumps. Might be since the stack makes you stop, and then there's a 1/4 jump instead of a 1/2 jump like 01:02:776 (3,4) - .
01:10:014 - 01:11:538 - <-- And you should add those drum-whistles for this part as well, since the chorusthing ends at 01:11:538 - .
imo, it would've been more confusing if the doubles (though it's really part of a triple) were spaced apart like the rest of the streamy bits. then it would REALLY look like it's a double rhythm. in order to reduce confusing while maintaining the rhythm as well as the mini 1/4 jumps i am so very fond of, i found this was the best way to do so.
as for those drum whistles, those are in the music, but not in that particular part, which is why i took them out. well i suppose i can add one at the end of the first (1) slider.
Also, the spaced out triple at 01:12:490 (3,4,5) - feels a bit out of place, as most other streams/triples are much closer. I guess it just doesn't fit with the overall flow I get from the map. Same with 01:25:443 (2,3,4) - , which is kinda overkill, aand will probably make people rage
it does yeah, doesn't it? i guess that's what i get for spacing the triples in Insane lol, since i couldn't exactly have Liberty's easier than Insane's.
in regards to the overkill, i might've changed it for the easier since you looked at it, so might want to take another look at that~
Another thing is the transition of spacing at 00:31:443 (8,9,1,2,3) - , which feels a wee bit forced to me. I don't know, the speed of those 1/4 sliders are kind of slow, and then suddenly 1/2 sliders with 1/4-jumps
hm, i sort of get what you mean, but i'll keep it as it is for now.
Overall a well-made map imo.
whoo
[Insane]
Maybe it's me, but the triples in the beginning like 00:20:092 (2,3,4) - really breaks the flow a bit for me. Maybe it's because the "ah"'s kind of fade out a bit, which to me suggests more of something flowy, rather than a static triple. Same for the triples at 01:19:538 -
i did a while back try out just sliders on the "AH!" bits, but it felt too bland and... bland. this way is more interesting while still maintaining sense i reckon, so i'll wager it's just a you thing
Also, the spacing in this diff looks.. Well not "weird", but kind of odd I guess, since you use a lot of stuff like 00:45:633 (1,2,3) - , where you go from 1.0x to 1.5x. They play fine, and are readable; just looks odd to me while playing.
all for the sake of emphasis~
The mapping feels a bit slow compared to the overall power of the song, but it fits well in the overall diffspread with Liberty as the hardest diff, so not realy a complaint
It's a nice map.
whoo
[Hard]
00:04:353 (8) - Aaaah this feels just a bit too close when I play.
you're right, why the heck is this 1.0x spacing lol. changed.
Same about the "irregular" spacing as in [Insane], though it feels a bit more awkward here, mostly due to the AR probably.
00:32:681 (2,3) - And 00:33:443 (1,2) - doesn't play that well imo. Even Insane is kinda easier with the double at 00:33:443 (1) - . Anyhow, 3/4 is also fairly hard to read on lower AR, so yeah.
Otherwise, this is fine. Maybe AR7 to compensate a bit for the spacing, but AR6 works as well.
i suppose i can change to AR7, so let's see how that goes.
[Normal]
01:25:824 (1) - Only this not being symmetrical bothers me
[Easy]
01:25:824 (1) - Same as in Normal.
Otherwise, E/N are cool imo.
mentioned it in a response to another mod, but the reason for them not being symmetrical is to bring out emphasis on the lower end of the slider, otherwise it implies that all beats are equal in important (which they aren't).
