Wow, really changed a lot based on the modding~! thank you so much for modding~!Byakugan249 wrote:
omg i'm gonna hate myself for modding this map...but this song is so catchy, i cannot turn it down >.<. anyways mod requested on my queue.
lol i like the song too~
Bold: Unrankable/must fix.
Red: You should fix it, but it's up to you.
Italic: Suggestion. Feel free to ignore this if you don't like it.
Blue: Comment. I'll give you my opinion, advice, or if i'm curious about something.
[General]
the preview time should start at 28190 because that's where the drum hits which leads to the instrumental. it sounds odd when someone clicks on the song and it starts at the vocals right away. exactly, fixed!
you should put which diff is which. it'll confuse other players which diff is which. example "Call = Normal"i will do that
i see 2 osb files in the folder. delete 1 of them and do a full submission. ok
hmm consider adding some tags in this song, like "Curiosity" since that's the name of the EP(Extended Play) this song is in. added
also consider replacing the green and pink combo color for an orange and a brown combo color to match the singer's clothing and hair. lol, that is a good one, but i think light colors are what i wantSPOILERonly replace 2 and 4 for this.Combo1 : 112,60,1
Combo2 : 39,213,243
Combo3 : 255,157,111
Combo4 : 255,255,81
at some parts, there's no need for the normal hitclap since you have a normal hitsound to cover it up, so remove the normal hitclaps because they're unnecessary. i think i do need them because i did use them in the hitsound...
the kiai is too long. personally i don't like to see a kiai time this long. the 2nd kiai should end at 02:00:190 since the chorus is over, and the 3rd kiai should end at 02:48:190. same reason about the 2nd kiai. thats a good idea, thanks~

00:11:690 (5,1,2) - maybe a curved slider for (5) so that the flow would continue from (4), and move (1) to the right. that overlap bothers me during gameplay and it might bother other players as well IMO, also perhaps you can stack (2) on the beginning of (5) to make it neater during gameplay?
here's the code if you wantSPOILERthanks for that, but i dont really wanna use it360,252,12690,5,0
256,192,13190,1,8
136,184,13690,2,0,B|166:158|184:154|184:154|196:128|236:112,1,120,0|8
352,108,14690,2,0,B|387:138|394:155|394:155|412:159|443:185,1,120,0|8
324,204,15690,2,0,B|292:196|276:168|276:168|260:196|228:204,1,120,0|8
00:25:190 (1,2,1,2,3) - there's too many 1/2 sliders and that can be hard for beginners since this is the easiest diff. maybe you can try something like this to make it somewhat easier? if you ignore this, then you can come up with something similar to this pattern. i really don't know...i think its fine since its a normal... i asked ppl but they can't decided if its fine or not...
01:28:690 (1) - it's not a good idea to put notes after the spinner at the middle. the hitburst is covering it and that could be hard for beginners to find. move it away from the middle, but put it near the middle so that it's fully visible for beginners to see. i will consider changing the skin, i think middle is the best place...
01:35:190 (4) - *nazi* this slider can look a lot nice if it was symmetrical. the bottom bump looks a bit slanted and the bumps at the top are uneven IMO. cute shape isn't it?~
01:51:190 (4) - since the 2 sliderends are overlapping, it'd be hard to decide which direction it's going for beginners. space out the ends of the sliderends so that it'd be easier for beginners to do. remember this is the easiest diff in the song, which is why i'm saying "beginners". finally i got a new slider shape!
01:59:190 (6,7,8,9,1) - replace all this for a 1/1 repeat slider to follow the instrumental in the background music. i think mine is better actually
02:02:690 (4,5) - i feel that this part doesn't fit with the vocals for this part. since there's a pause in the vocals, i feel that a repeat slider would work here, so replace all this for a 1/1 repeat slider to follow the vocals a lot accurate. not really wanna do that...
02:24:190 (1,2,1,2) - i don't like this blanket at all. the overlaps and the slowdown make it even worse because it doesn't look nice. use a DS for 1.50 to make the blankets nicer. dw beginners will make it in time.ok
02:34:690 (5) - stack this note on the end of (3). again that overlap bothers me during gameplay, and it'll look neater during gameplay as well.but it will break the DS...actually i don't like overlap either, but i think it only covers a little bit...and i have no other place to put them,so...
02:35:190 (6) - move this down a bit. this time (4) is overlapping this note. 3 and 6 are symmetric...
my biggest concern is the note placement. some of them look too crowded and the flow would be broken. i suggest increasing the default DS to make it neater. i decided to use circle size 4 instead of 3 since it make the map cleaner and some overlap stuffs were solved
[Me]
maybe increase the OD by 1 to keep the diff balanced? you sure increase?
00:06:440 (2) - this slider doesn't fit with the vocals at all. the flow feels weird and it's also broken. to make it flow smoother, i suggest a 1/2 repeat slider and a circle. if you ignore this, then you can come up with your own pattern similar to what i suggested. a 1/2 slider with 3 repeats!
00:13:440 (6) - ^
00:14:690 (2) - ^ all fixed!
00:29:940 (5,1) - maybe add whistles at the end of (5) and the beginning of (1) to match the instrumental in the song? you did it on the beginning so i think adding it here would be consistent. i dont really wanna use a lot of whistler since i don't like them... little do good to the map~
00:31:940 (4,1) - ^
00:33:940 (5) - same as 00:06:440 but i suggest a 1/1 slider and a circle since it follows the instrumental nicely. i think its ok... well im gonna think about it...
00:41:940 (5) - ^
01:13:690 (5) - *nazi* try to stack the end of (2) perfectly. it'll look neater during gameplay. fixed!
01:43:190 (3,4) - add whistles at the beginning to match that sound in the instrumental. i think it'll play nicely during gameplay.not really wanna do that...
02:07:190 (2) - perhaps you can unstack this because the hitburst is covering the repeat arrow and that's an unrankable issue there. oh really...
02:15:190 (3) - ^
02:38:940 (4,5,6,7,8) - do you think that this is a bit too hard for a hard diff like this? at least reduce the DS to make it somewhat easier for players. true... reduced!
i have a few things to point out. there's several repeat sliders that repeat from the blue tick that sound unfitting. they show no flow to the song, and the flow is broken when the notes are hit, also add more whistles like the one i mentioned at 00:29:940 to match the instrumental. again i think it'll sound a lot nicer and consistent with the whistle at the beginning since it matches the instrumental. alright, i will test more for that~
[Maybe]
00:24:190 (1,2) - follow the DS for this. it's too close and the flow might possibly break during gameplay. moved further
00:30:315 (1) - remove this note. it's not following anything in the song. i wanna double click everywhere~ its fun and annoying!~
00:33:190 (4,5,6,7,8) - what shape are you trying to do here? it looks bad and the flow isn't there. maybe you can do this to make the flow smoother to the next note. again if you ignore this, then you can come up with a different shape.
00:35:940 (8) - keep this trapezoid formation even by spacing this note out.
02:40:190 (1) - replace the whistle for a finish since it matches the cymbals in the song.
this time it's the 1/4 sliders. it looks like they were just added randomly and it shows that it isn't following the vocals or the instrumental. i suggest replacing them for a pattern that would flow to the vocals/instrumental a lot accurate.
i just wanna make the map become fun to play, not really the normal type, but thanks for the advice!~
I guess that's it. GL
