Yes a lot actually. But the fact that the characters get tired so fast made it hard for me to level up. And being the fact that I'm too lazy to grind I never got many levels up. So it was tough .~. And the answer was crazy DXPokebis wrote:

For me, all games were hard in a way (I suck at games).

Ignoring all the NES games I can think of, probably Super Meat Boy. It turned out to be one of my favorite Steam games though so I eventually got the Golden God achi. Honorable mention to IWBTG. It's harder than SMB, but in a very unfair manner, so it's more trial-and-error rather than being good at the game. At least the beginning, never bothered to go beyond it.
Ninja Gaiden: Black & Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.
IWBTG's difficulty is largely fake though; ie once you learn all the Gotchas you can zip through it. I found Mega Man 9 to be the same way, which was why I was glad Mega Man 10's difficulty was a bit more legitimate.

Dark Souls,it's almost like dying is the whole purpose of the game
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks (yes, an old game, lol :O).

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne on Hard mode. INSANE BOSSES.
Mushihime-sama Futari on ULTRA difficulty. It just makes Touhou's lunatic seem to be a piece of cake.
And IWBTG along with its Touhou crossover ("I Wanna Be The Shrine Maiden") are both quite difficult too...
I'd also mention Kagetsu Tohya - clearing it without using a walkthrough is not really a far cry from a slow-paced walk around the Ninth Circle of Hell.

lol yea, i used to remember good fusions tho (well, the sand witch thing 2100 with thousands of equipments and the dragon 2800 were the most common)
but after the mages you had to beat the laberinth guy, the 2 crocodile dudes, and like 4 guys more without saving in a row .. it was impossible.

My friend and me spent hours upon hours trying to beat it. Getting stars was nigh impossible cause you get like 1 a fight, and if you wanna transfer cards in, you had to spend like 5 billion.
i beated it with gameshark, otherwise it's impossible imo
It's just really retarded >> But I loved it.
I beated it, took like 2 or 3 months to gather some good cards but totally worth it /foreveralone

I destroyed my Ps2 controller at the end with this triangle button pressing over 3minutes.
I died over 2000 times !
but it was a worthy experience.
and btw IWBTG is easy
