aaaaallright I've been modding this behind the scenes for the past couple of weeks or since it was made ._., so I've finally found some free time to give this a proper mod. Since I've been getting harassed by these two guys to finish it ;w;

General
  1. all the diffs are inconsistent with when the map ends, for example:
    1. neko's Easy ends at 3:11
    2. Normal ends at 3:13
    3. inaba's Taiko ends at 3:29
    4. meiikyuu's Hard ends at 3:14
    5. Collab ends at 3:13
    get this straight. I'd like to see some consistency. It seems like the guest diffs are the ones that are not in sync with the ones you made. I bolded inaba's timing because I think it's best to work up to here instead of deleting poor inaba-tan's work. It sounds better ending here too, instead of suddenly and abruptly like with the majority of diffs.
  2. taiko bg? ;w; *stares at inaba* If you want, I can get someone around to making one for you if you wish. inaba is using meiikyuu's background right now, which breaks the fact that all diffs have different bgs.
  3. adjust combo colours? Try to find a better combination of colours? That red... orz.
  4. consistency is key to make this mapset work. I'm hearing mochi's ass slap hitsounds in his part in the collab, and as well in meiikyuu's hard. Discuss?

  2. to start, I'm going to let you know that I'll be nitpicking this diff because easys rely on good symmetry and creativity in order to be fun, while still retaining flow, so bear with me and please don't be offended by this long mod.

note arrangement
  1. 00:02:337 (2) - make this similar to (1), it just looks strange having a straight slider and curved slider.
  2. 00:03:716 (1) - you'll need to increase the size of this shape so the repeat lands on the big white tick, because right now the end doesn't really end on a good sound...hard to follow for beginners.
  3. 00:10:441 (1) - maybe move the spinner back to the previous white tick, and then extend the end to where you have it now.
  4. 00:26:130 (1,2) - add a note in-between, it sounds empty and doesn't flow with the previous section.
  5. 00:34:061 (1,2) - ^ makes it hard to read without one there...
  6. 00:37:165 (1,2,3,4) - you could fix this by removing the repeat and adding two notes on the other side of the slider, and then make the pattern symmetrical? weird breaks in-between should be eliminated as best as possible.
  7. 00:41:992 (5) - stack it under the end of (1), properly.
  8. 00:56:475 (1) - try mapping this out. short burst spinners for easier difficulties (even if this isn't uber short, it's still not really needed) aren't good.
    00:58:889 (1) - starting a note on here after a spinner isn't really good, but this is just a suggestion because the spinner ends quite some time (not directly) after, though I still recommend you fix this.
  9. 00:59:579 (3) - turn this into a slider?
  10. 01:01:647 (1,2) - I suggest this new pattern:
  11. 01:04:406 (1,2) - orz something like this?:
  12. 01:13:372 (3) - fix this so the path is clear, as in, make sure the hole in the loop is visible. Readjust this.
  13. 01:30:613 (1) - needs to be moved over 2 ticks ; the next red tick point. don't forget to fix spacing.

  19. 02:29:923 - 02:35:441 - needs to be mapped, short breaks are a nono, plus it's placed in a really awkward spot. If you were to break, you'd need to double it for it to even begin to fit properly.
  20. 02:53:027 (2,3,4) - fix blanketing on both (2) [in respects to (1)] and (4) [in respects to (3)].
  21. 02:58:889 (2) - this needs to be moved back two ticks or to the previous red tick, then fix the rest of this combo by extending the slider to where it originally ended and fixing around spacing.

Some streams are better as single sliders too as 02:20:611 (7,8,9), as example is better being a single slider starting from (7)

General:

• According to VNDB and Wikipedia, the source should be Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi. Easy and Hard have a different source.
• There are inconsistent letter boxing, please make sure the letter boxing on each difficulty matches each other. By the way, letter boxing adds a nice effect to this map, so I suggest turning it on.
• Since this visual novel is referred to as Hoshikaka at times, I suggest adding it to the tags.

Easy:

Looks like you have some important inherited sections that are un-snapped:
  • 00:50:613
    01:59:579
If you don't re-snap them properly, the note will sound off with the previous hitsound settings.

• 00:03:714 (1,2) - (2) may be too hard to hit for beginners because the transition from white tick to red tick is rather sudden, move (2) so that it hits on 00:07:163 - instead.
• 00:09:749 (2) - ^ Same here, please move it so that it hits on 00:09:921 -. And all over the map, some the transitions from 1/1 to 1/2 is rough and does not feel like it belongs in an Easy Difficulty. Go through the map and make sure everything runs smoothly.
• 00:26:128 (1) - A clap on this slider's start would work rather well. The note sounds pretty bland without it.
• 00:41:990 (5) - You should really make this note a little more visible, it's a tad hard for an easy difficulty. I suggest rearranging the patten like this.
• 00:57:335 (2,3) - To make this less frustrating to hit, change this to a long slider that reaches from 00:57:335 to 00:58:025.
• 01:13:370 (3) - I would re-shape this slider. First off, it's too much for an Easy difficulty, and also, the start overlaps it's track.
• 02:02:680 (2) - Please make this slider symmetrical on the axis. It really does look awful and stands out if it isn't.
• 02:20:266 (3,4,5,6,1,2) - This one pattern is a real mess, it's very confusing for an Easy difficulty. Please clean it up.
• 02:40:956 (1,2,3,4) - It would be much easier and fitting if you changed the pattern so that it's like this.

This difficulty still needs a lot of work. I only pointed out the really major things that bugged me, if I didn't you'd probably have a huge list on your hands. I don't mean to come off as an ass, I just really want to see this map improve. Also, this seems a lot like a Normal in my opinion.

Normal:

This entire difficulty sounds very bland due to it's lack of claps.

• 00:20:956 (2) - This kick slider will confuse many normal players. They don't expect the last repeat and it comes up pretty fast. Remove the last repeat and fix spacing.
• 00:34:749 (2) - This slider start overlapping it's track is very ugly and should never be done. Re-shape this please.
• 00:36:128 (4) - ^
• 01:16:645 (2) - ^ and all through the map.
• 03:07:680 (5,6) - These two are in a position at is pretty hard to read and looks pretty ugly. I would change it's location like this:

You know why Easy "needs work"? Because too much stuff is on the white ticks when it should be on red ticks to be intuitive and flowing, i have some examples:

I never really like the white ticks in the first place though. I thought it was just something I had to use.

  4. 00:38:542 - Since your claps are so dense, it would be beneficial to create normal-slidertick.wav in the sound of a clap to manipulate this slider tick here.
  5. 00:41:301 (2,3,4) - Curve these? It's to balance or match the previous combo.
  6. 00:49:921 (4) - If you feel the vocals drag out similar to 00:47:163 (4) - , make this a slider.
