Exemple : instead of just 'rock' there could be alternative rock, punk, metal, nu metal, progressive metal idk rock n roll, blues etc...
Same thing with electronic, there could be ALL the subgenres that exists like drum n bass, complextro, glitch, dubstep, techno, psywhatever, EBM, hardcore, breakbeat, brostep and all those other so much unique subgenres that astonished and amazed me when I discovered this game and that I never heard before. I have no idea what they are called and this could initiate a big knowledge and cultural sharing. And all that music I heard for the first time discovering the game, pretty much all of it is coming from asia right ? Tell me if I'm wrong
Also jazz, classic etc anything that exists in osu
I think it's an important feature that is missing in this game because u know it's a music game. It would gather beatmaps people are looking for in a more organized way. I assume that most people prefer beatmaps with songs that they like and less prefer playing beatmaps with music that are not their style. There are exceptions of course because some beatmaps are just fun to play even with what you'd consider bad music or just something you wouldn't like by just listening to it. But still, it would just be so useful and I think really cool to be able to explore beatmaps with and to have some sort of unrolling subgenres menus starting at main global genres. We could also both downright invent numerous genres names and, tag difficult to pinpoint songs to multiple genres to illustrate all of its influences we can determine. To keep this tool useful you would be able to select more or less encompassing genres like just metal, just electronic or little more precise and so on.
So yeah would be nice what do you think guys would that be feasable ? Would there be any downsides ? Listening enthusiasticaly
:p
