hello walter, just took a play on the map and i felt unsatisfied. You keep using 2 or 3 patterns through out the whole map on this sounds 00:25:353 (1,2,3,4) - 00:23:131 (1,2,3,4,1) - , please think of more patterns it really gets repetetive, so it bored me. Patterns also look nice so good job on that. I kinda disagree a bit on rhythm but it's an insane so its okay i guess. Good luck if you plan on making new patterns. If more people complain than i think you will need to do some remapping.
Reduce the volume on hitsounds a bit, 60% would be ideal imo.
00:28:464 (1) - slider looks ugly, i suggest making it a Z shape like 00:35:575 (1) -
00:26:686 (1,2,1,2,1) - good idea would be to keep this pattern blanketed. Looks better imo.
but yea mostly this kind of song asks for a lot of patterns to be made, not repeated 300 times.
and one more thing, get a new background please, this is like the most generic bg, i saw it first time 5-6 years ago, take something related to death and scifi idk.

Hi! Coming from your modding queue. I am going to mod your Insane difficulty as I can only play +4 stars difficulty :P

00:05:353 00:05:353 (1,2,1,2,1,1) - The fact that the first two patterns (00:05:353 (1,2) - and 00:05:797 (1,2) - ) are placed very close makes the third pattern ( 00:06:242 (1,1) - ) be really hard to read. I recommend spacing more 00:05:353 (1,2) - and 00:05:797 (1,2) - (it also looks better).

00:12:464 (1,2,1,2) - I would try to do the same here: more spacing!

00:22:686 (1,2,3) - this triangle looks weird.

00:23:131 (1,2,3,4) - why don't you just copy 00:23:131 (1,2) - and paste replacing 00:23:575 (3,4) - (of course, change that pattern's angle :P)?

01:26:686 (1) - I think this would be better if it was following 01:25:797 (1,3) - (I mean, following the height decrease)

And that's everything! Very cool map ^^

M4M from your queue :)

[Easy]
  1. 00:28:464 (1) - this slider can be in better place, bcs this is not beatuful | look :
  2. 00:56:908 (1) - why new combo color?
  3. 01:04:019 (1) - why you do this slider on the same place that you do circle before? (this: 00:56:908 (1))
  4. i'm thinking why there is no kiai, but ok
[Insane]
  1. 00:28:019 (1) - to mkae slider like this you need 1/8 but you have 1/6
  2. 00:36:908 (1,2,3) - why you do put circle 2 under circle 3?
  3. i'm thinking why there is no kiai, but ok
Good map! Good luck :)

Also I don't really feel like remapping right now, but maybe in the future

01:26:686 (1) - I think this would be better if it was following 01:25:797 (1,3) - (I mean, following the height decrease) Wouldn't really make a difference imo

Insane:
00:07:131 (1,1) - These need to be the same as 00:00:020 (1,1) - .
00:14:242 (1,1,1,1) - These need to all be the same shape.
00:28:464 (1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1) - ^
00:42:686 (1,1,1,1) - ^
01:25:353 (1,1,1,1) - ^
01:39:575 (1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1) - ^
Normal:
everywhere - Overlaps, stacks, repeat. Not rankable.
01:24:464 (5,6) - Continue 5 into 6.
Easy and normal:
Avoid putting things too close to eachother in the timeline and playfield.
Easy:
All those sliders are hard to play for new players. I see more in easy than normal.
Other than those issues, this map is, personally, rankable! Good job. :)

Duuuuude, this kills variety in every way, this map is already repetitive
Normal:
everywhere - Overlaps, stacks, repeat. Not rankable. Overlaps are fine if it's 1/2 or higher rhythm (1/3 in this case, but plays like 1/2 202bpm), there are tons of normal diffs which use stacks and they're fine as long as you use only one rhythm for them, repeats are acceptable as long as they aren't multiple. According to the ranking criteria this is all fine
01:24:464 (5,6) - Continue 5 into 6. uh? I'm already doing that
Easy and normal:
Avoid putting things too close to eachother in the timeline and playfield. I don't see any problem, sine easy uses 1/1 and 2/1 rhythm while normal uses 1/1 and occasional 1/3
Easy:
All those sliders are hard to play for new players. I see more in easy than normal. uhh, there are ~40 more sliders in normal diff, and there isn't any slider-only long section, so i think it's fine
Other than those issues, this map is, personally, rankable! Good job. :) Thanks!

Hello! I'm here for the M4M from Modreqs.
General

You need a hard difficulty but I presume you are working on that.
Add some hitsounds to the map Here are some hitsounds, look through them in case any go well with the map.
Easy

I really Like this difficulty, I don't see any real problems.
Normal

Also good.
Insane

Also good.

In conclusion this is a really good map, I really enjoyed it. Remember to add a hard and some hitsounds and you'll probably be good (PM me if you want a GD hard). Shoot a star pls!

I couldn't find anything wrong, and I realized this song from Geometry Dash. And yes, osu does need more F-777.

Good Luck! :)

Srry for the random mod, just really want to mod this! :)

Insane
I like how you gradually turn up the hitsound volume, but I think you should start at 0% volume, rather than 10.

Normal
01:34:242 (5) - Make this slider a bit more pretty (It does not line up exactly with the object before)

I think to avoid stagnant leaderboards, you should add a spinner to the beginning of the Normal and Easy difficulties.

Easy
00:16:908 (5) - This slider (And every repeating slider in the section) ends on an important beat. Not sure if this is much of a problem, though.

Sorry for the short mod, this is already a really polished beatmap. ;)

M4M from my queue.

Insane

00:11:575 (2) - ctrl+g for better flow
00:28:464 - [applies to ALL diffs] this is the proper time to put a kiai mode since this map doesn't have it in general
00:30:242 - also, an idea: since the song seems to be gradually increasing from this point onwards, I suggest you increase the ds between notes very unnoticably each time the increase occurs (every place where you have your special sound slider you can add a sv line that is bigger by 0,10x instead of a normal one.
00:39:131 (1) - unscaled slider if I'm correct, seems like it can look a bit better if you were to rescale it
01:06:982 (1,2,3,4) - (stuff like this onwards) I feel like the intensity there is a little less significant than one over here 01:05:205 (1,2,3,4) - , I think that you can safely reduce spacing here to express the song a bit better
01:39:575 - again, the kiai thingy and slider velocity increases should be implemented there

Can't say much, looks ready to me.

Riki's Insane

00:14:686 (2) - that's an undermap, I know that it's supposed to be an easier insane but it's an Insane regardless, I feel like this sound just cannot be ignored (00:14:834 - )
00:18:390 - and again, I'm not gonna mention it anymore, just reconsider your rhythm choices in these moments.
00:32:464 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - why would you suddenly change your patterns from repeating sliders to slider-circle? don't talk about variety, you use this pattern only once while all the others look the same
00:56:908 (1,2) - feels like a really lazy pattern, why don't you just put a break there instead lol
01:21:353 (1) - cool slider
01:53:797 (1) - cool slider vol. 2

That's all from me, your map is very solid in general so I can't really do a bigger mod on it.

Good luck!

Enjoy a star!

Not much of a problem, I've seen worse on lower diffs

hey, m4m from my queue (modding first because i wanna : d)

Easy

it really seems like you know what you're doing

00:19:575 (4) - moving this to the left to match the angle between 00:18:242 (1,2) - would look good for uniformity

00:22:242 (2) - this isnt stacked properly on the end of this 00:24:019 (5) -

00:30:242 (3) - move this more left for the blanket

00:40:464 (2) - having this move down is a little weird for flow, try and make it go up after 00:39:131 (1) - and the flow down into the next slider

01:24:464 (5) - i dont think this is snapped to 1/2, it should be 1/3 and it sounds weird

the rest looks great to me

Normal

00:15:575 (3,4) - i think this and this 00:17:353 (7) - should be swapped. it can help prepare the player to expect 1/3. do these with all of them here in the beginning to create the same consistency

00:26:686 (5,6) - could ctrl h this to flow better into next slider

01:39:575 (1,4) - shouldnt these be parallel?

01:44:464 (3,4) - this is the only one where you dont send the repeat directly into the next slider, fix this?

Hard

00:16:908 (1) - was this intentional? looks bad xd

00:31:575 (1,2,3,1) - this might be too weird to read for a hard, this looks great for something like insane, but i feel like it isnt meant for a hard

00:52:908 (1,2,1) - you missed a triangle!

nothing much to say

Insane

00:26:686 (5,6) - could ctrl h this to flow better into next slider nah, i like tilted sliders :3

01:39:575 (1,4) - shouldnt these be parallel? yep, looks better

Hard

00:16:908 (1) - was this intentional? looks bad xd made it symmetric

00:31:575 (1,2,3,1) - this might be too weird to read for a hard, this looks great for something like insane, but i feel like it isnt meant for a hard there are almost no 1/6 beats in the songs, i think the player can easily understand it

00:52:908 (1,2,1) - you missed a triangle! whoops

m4m mod

box=easy

00:30:242 (3,2) i know you are trying to keep distance spacing even, but theres gotta be something you can do about this blanketing

01:52:019 (3) move it out just a little more to keep it even with 1? i know its breaking DS but its a couple pixels i dont think players will have that hard a time with it

/box

box=insane

00:02:834 (2,1) 1 doesnt look like it lines up right with 2, move it to the right a little?

00:39:131 (1) why red anchor? i think you can make it nicer with just one regular anchor

01:31:575 (1,2,3,4) the triplet (number 4) is a lot farther away from the slider than the previous ones, move it closer to keep consistency

/box

other than that...

seriously though sorry for a short mod, this mapset is basically perfect (i didnt check the other insane but its prob good).
feel free to decline your side of the m4m if this mod wasnt enough (if you dont, my map is ready to be modded)

11:36 walter85: hi :)
11:36 Mir: hi (:
11:37 walter85: do you have time for a quick check? not mod
11:44 Mir: i guess so
11:45 *walter85 is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1330566 F-777 - Deadlocked]
11:45 walter85: thank you!
11:46 *Mir is editing [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1330566 F-777 - Deadlocked [Insane]]
11:47 Mir: 00:19:575 (1,2,1,2,1) - these could all be circles cuz the sound gets more intense
11:47 Mir: happens pretty much every time you map this sound it doesn't stand out too much
11:48 Mir: 00:20:464 (1) - not this one sorry
11:48 walter85: hmm
11:49 walter85: i'll do something about it
11:49 Mir: 00:24:464 (1,2) - maybe 1/6 sliders here?
11:49 Mir: cuz noticeably more intense sound too
11:49 Mir: and it's mapped the same as the other sounds
11:50 Mir: just a small sv increase doesn't show it off to its full potential imo
11:51 walter85: true
11:53 walter85: [https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8482112 something like this?]
11:53 Mir: yeah that works
11:53 Mir: for all instances of that ofc
11:54 walter85: yeah
11:54 Mir: well moving on: 01:05:205 (1,2,3,4) - 01:06:982 (1,2,3,4) - are mapped the same way almost but the former is higher intensity
11:54 Mir: again just a spacing increase doesn't really show it off :x
11:55 Mir: well i may be lying, a spacing increase that small doesn't show it off
11:56 walter85: hmm, i don't know i think i'll leave it as it is, it happens only one time anyway, maybe i'll reduce spacing more
11:57 Mir: that's fine, i just think it could use more contrast
11:57 walter85: yeah, right now it's 2.0x and 1.5x
11:57 Mir: 01:07:575 (1,2,3) - this 1 looks really weird in context
11:58 Mir: mmm
11:58 Mir: visual spacing between 2,1 and 3,1 is a bit off
11:58 walter85: what do you mean by weird?
11:58 Mir: might be why
11:58 walter85: oh, oops :P
11:58 Mir: yeah thats why
11:58 Mir: xD
11:59 Mir: 01:09:353 (1,2,3) - a little here too
11:59 Mir: 01:10:538 (1,3) - what do you think about making this 1/6 sliders?
11:59 Mir: cuz the sounds feel very rushed imo
12:01 walter85: hmm i don't really like 1/6 sliders there
12:01 Mir: that's fine
12:01 walter85: btw [https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8482141 is this better]?
12:01 Mir: since the part after basically repeats itself i don't really have to look into that i think
12:01 Mir: yeah that's better
12:01 walter85: the part after has some additional sounds
12:02 Mir: does it o.O
12:02 walter85: yeah, some 1/2 somewhere
12:02 walter85: with weird "pyoom" sounds idk how to describe xD
12:03 Mir: oh yeah i saw those already xD
12:03 Mir: those are fine i meant like
12:03 Mir: 01:25:353 -
12:03 walter85: oh, didn't understand
12:03 walter85: lol sorry :P
12:03 Mir: oh come to think of it maybe an sv decrease on 01:28:168 (2) - and similar notes throughout the map would be cool
12:03 Mir: cuz the sound feels like it's dampened a bit
12:04 walter85: yeah true
12:04 Mir: would also make 01:28:464 (1,2) - stand out more
12:05 walter85: if i'll make those 1/6 sliders there would be even more contrast right?
12:05 Mir: ye
12:06 walter85: is 1.00 -> 1.50 sv okay? like, slower for 01:28:019 (1,2) - and then suddenly faster
12:06 walter85: and then it's normal
12:06 Mir: yeah that should be fine
12:07 walter85: nice
12:07 walter85: btw this is basically a mod, post the chat in the forum afterwards plz :P
12:07 Mir: yeah i suppose so
12:08 Mir: i quite like the map actually, i might go for the rest of the diffs later

I'll be back.

Hi! M4m from my queue.

Oh, you have a star :o

[General]
1. Hm, just a my opinion, but it will be more suitable to name a top diff as "Another" or find some custom diffname.
2. Wave hitsounds with possible delay > 5ms:
soft-hitfinish.wav
3. Try to put spinner somewhere in all your diffs.

[Easy]
Why you didn't map the beginning, it looks so lazy. You can put at least one spinner here.
00:31:575 (4,1) - not very comfortable movement here, I recommend you to move slider a bit down.
00:40:464 (2) - this note overlap a default hp bar, move it a bit down.
01:35:131 (5) - ^
01:14:242 (6) - you can add 1/2 slider instead of this note, for emphasizing the same sound as you follow here 01:17:353 (5).
01:21:353 (6) - ^
01:53:797 (1) - oh, you can add spinner after this note.

This diff is nice, only one thing that I disagree with is 00:16:908 (5) - this kind of sliders, that ignore strong sound on the big white tick. Will be better if you remove the reverse arrow and put note on it.

[Normal]
Same thoughts about beginning as in easy diff.
00:15:575 (3,4) - too hard for normal diff, because slider starts from violet tick, it may confuse non-experienced players. You can make "slider+note" instead of "note+slider", that rhythmically better than your variant, or make it as a reverse slider.
Also I prefer to see difference between kiai and non kiai parts, but I can't see it in this diff, try to make non-kiai parts easier.
Same about the spinner in the end.

[Hard]
Aaaand again, the beginning.
Cs 3.8 instead of cs 4? ;w;
00:18:242 (1) - curved sliders looks not very nice on electronic songs, maybe it will be better with red anchors or just straight?
01:17:352 (1) - you missed sound on the end of this slider, I would recommend to make a two notes isntead of slider.
01:24:464 (1) - ^

[Riki's Insane]
00:19:575 (1,2) - this sounds axactly the same as 00:20:019 (3) - , maybe will be better to make a reverse slider here?
00:20:464 (4) - it so strange that you did this loong slider and missed some sounds on 00:20:908, 00:21:057 and 00:21:205.
00:36:019 (1,2,3) - looks a bit random, will be better, if you make it with same curve and degreese. For example - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8500563
00:41:797 (2) - I think if you ctrl+h this slider, it will be works better.
00:48:908 (1) - this long slider is also strange as a previous.
00:56:908 (1,2) - these sliders looks so lazy, you can make a lot of 1/1 sliders instead of it.
01:21:353 (1) - what is wrong with this slider? o.o I guess tt should be the same form as here - 01:14:242 (1).
01:30:686 (1,2,3) - I think it will be rhythmically better as a stream because of strong sounds on the slider's ends.
01:37:797 (1,2,3) - ^
01:07:279 (2) - this note overlap with score %
01:50:242 (1) - slider's end overlap a bit with score %

[Insane]
00:03:131 (1) - I would like to make it as a three note, because os strong sound on the slider's end.
00:12:464 (1,2,1,2) - I can't understand why you still overlap these notes in more intensive part that was before - 00:05:353 (1,2,1,2).
00:15:131 (3) - maybe add nc here to remove the ugly followpoints?

Cool map, good luck with this set.

Why you didn't map the beginning, it looks so lazy. You can put at least one spinner here. nah

01:21:353 (6) - ^ ^
01:53:797 (1) - oh, you can add spinner after this note. no spinners

00:12:464 (1,2,1,2) - I can't understand why you still overlap these notes in more intensive part that was before - 00:05:353 (1,2,1,2). it's for consistency, we're still in the hype-building part overall
00:15:131 (3) - maybe add nc here to remove the ugly followpoints? it would be inconsistent with the comboing of the map, and also followpoints aren't important

Cool map, good luck with this set.

hey, from my q

Insane
  1. 00:06:242 (1) - The sound on the sliderend here stands out a lot, you're changing up the placement after the slider, but that doesn't really do this particular sound justice imo. Just making the slider two circles while keeping low spacing (or maybe stacking them since you did that with a similar synth sound at 00:09:945 (2) - ) would make it stand out nicely. The sudden rather large spacing change while keeping the same slider shape and direction could also throw players off otherwise.
  2. 00:12:908 (1,2) - similar situation, feels like the sounds on the sliderend and (2) should stand out a bit.
  3. 00:29:797 (1,2) - This seems very low spaced compared to all the other instances of this pattern, the difference in spacing from (1) to (2) and (2) to (3) is also very little as a result.
  4. 00:34:242 (1,2,3,4) - I think this group of sounds should stand out, for one the pitch rises a lot and it feels much stronger as a result, and also the synth melody gets really quiet on (3) to the point where it's barely audible, it feels special compared to 00:30:686 (1,2,3,4) - and the others. (this happens twice per kiai)
  5. 00:43:575 (3,4) - Why are these 1.0 spaced when they were 0.9 in the section past the intro where the music is basically identical? It's a noticeable visual change so it should be consistent imo. It also changes back to 0.9 later in this section, and then back to 1.0 even later at 01:25:797 (1,2) - , and I can't really see the reason behind it.
  6. 01:10:538 (1,2,3) - Maybe use ~2.0 DS since it's the same pitch as 01:08:760 (1,2,3,4) - ?

Really solid diff, almost only subjective stuff.

Riki's Insane
  1. 00:15:131 (1,2) - Why suddenly change up the rhythm here? Could just start doing it in the next pattern and it'd feel less random since it's seperated by a change in music
  2. 00:17:945 - I don't think you should skip over this
  3. 00:20:686 - same, the very low pitch also actually starts here rather than on 00:20:464 - , so starting the slider here would seem more fitting anyway. Both this and the previous one repeat in this section, the one after the kiai, and the one before the final kiai.
  4. 00:30:686 (1,2,3) - has identical pitch to 00:32:464 (1,2,1,2,1) - , but the patterns are different, and then when the pitch does change (and the song imo is more intense) at 00:34:242 (1,2) - you go back to the previous pattern. The pitch does change at the last group of notes for each pattern compared to the first two, you could do something with that as well (you did at 00:35:131 (1) - , but not before). Applies throughout this kiai and partially to the second one.

00:32:464 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - The pattern seems to assign equal importants to the white ticks as to the 2/3 ticks (the one the circles are on, idk how else to say it), which I don't hear in the song.
  5. 00:39:575 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - ^
  6. 01:04:908 (3) - The sound on the sliderend stands out, making the slider shorter and making 01:05:205 part of the jump pattern seems like a better fit.

Hard
  1. 00:16:019 (1,2,1) - 00:24:464 (1,2,1) - 00:36:908 (1,2,1) - all of these and many others could be executed a little cleaner, being perfect triangles. In some cases it's more obvious than others, but they all seem to have been done freehand instead of with the rotation or create polygon tool.

Normal
  1. 00:26:242 (3,4,5) - This doesn't follow time-distance equality because of the stack, might be a problem.
  2. Also not sure if the amount of 1/3 gaps you have is ok for a normal, it might be too dense considering the RC says to use "mostly 1/1, occasional 1/2 rhythms" (for a 180 bpm map, 1/3 on this map is equivalent to ~200 bpm 1/2)

Easy
  • 00:37:353 (3,4,1) - Muh perfect triangle. If it's because of spacing constraints you could just change the angle leading to (3) a bit. If you generally did this freehand might want to check through all diffs to see if it's obvious anywhere (other than the hard, where it's definitely obvious in a few places).

Good Luck! :)

Nice suggestion but to me it doesn't seem like that sound stands out in the song, so I'm gonna keep it this way. 00:32:464 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - why would you suddenly change your patterns from repeating sliders to slider-circle? don't talk about variety, you use this pattern only once while all the others look the same 00:39:575 - (1) This is the same, I did it intentionally for variety
00:56:908 (1,2) - feels like a really lazy pattern, why don't you just put a break there instead lol because it's something different

01:30:686 (1,2,3) - I think it will be rhythmically better as a stream because of strong sounds on the slider's ends. A 12 note stream on my diff would be an unnecessary difficulty spike, since there isn't any such stream in the other insane

I'm not coming back to the previous pattern at all, this is the pattern I used:
repeat slider - repeat slider - repeat slider
repeat slider - repeat slider - repeat slider
    1/3 + note - 1/3 + note - 1/3 + note
repeat slider - repeat slider - 3 notes
The very last 3 notes are more intense to click, compared with the rest of the patterns, and that intensifies the rhythm. By the way I can consider replacing those sliders with 1/3 + note again, if it doesn't cause playability issues and make the map too hard

00:32:464 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - The pattern seems to assign equal importants to the white ticks as to the 2/3 ticks (the one the circles are on, idk how else to say it), which I don't hear in the song. It's all 1/3. Every single beat is equally important, so
  5. 00:39:575 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - ^
  6. 01:04:908 (3) - The sound on the sliderend stands out, making the slider shorter and making 01:05:205 part of the jump pattern seems like a better fit. This does not fully convince me, honestly, but I can try it

easy, normal, hard had no problems

[Riki's Insane]
- 00:36:464 (2,3,4) - spacing on this is too small and doesn't fit the music, would be better if had similar spacing to this pattern: 00:26:242 (1,2,3) -
- 00:41:797 (2,3,4) - ^^
- 00:48:019 (1,2,3) - pattern doesn't really fit, instead of like 123456 its 123456. so instead of three sliders it should be two sliders each w one reverse, if that makes sense. or it could just be 6 circles. same goes for other patterns / rhythms like this
- 00:48:908 (1) - slider makes no sense, no note held here so it should just be the same rhythm.
- generally it feels like the sliders are too slow for this kind of music, typically these songs have a lot of varied slider velocity (like in this set's Demon difficulty) and it kinda feels boring without that present. since this is an insane, faster sliders wouldn't be too hard. tl;dr: sliders feel too slow

[Demon]
- no problems i could see. good map

I don't even know what am i supposed to mod, so i'll give star instead.

Well, tho I wish HP setting for Riki's Insane and Demon could be increased because there's too much NC and the HP recovers easily (even with HR). Not that i'm complaining.

Oh, i forgot. there's one thing, but you could ignore it. At Demon diff, this pattern 00:28:908 (1,2) - and similarly, i hope you could put the DS a bit far, something like 1.15x ...fairly like this 00:29:797 (1,2,3) - <--- I use DS 1.1x and 1.2x and it doesn't seem to fit....so i conclude it was 1.15x , kek

Hope this get ranked soon

I'm gonna respond to some of these for RikiH_ since I already know what he thinks of it

- 00:41:797 (2,3,4) - ^^ This is probably to emphasize 00:36:908 (1,2,3) - since there are stronger sounds there
- 00:48:019 (1,2,3) - pattern doesn't really fit, instead of like 123456 its 123456. so instead of three sliders it should be two sliders each w one reverse, if that makes sense. or it could just be 6 circles. same goes for other patterns / rhythms like this Here he decided to follow the synth instead of drums. It's up to the mapped to decide what instrument to follow if they've the same importance. He decided to follow the synth and he's consistent with it
- 00:48:908 (1) - slider makes no sense, no note held here so it should just be the same rhythm. It's here to indicate the drums' stop. It also follows the music with its curvature

Well, tho I wish HP setting for Riki's Insane and Demon could be increased because there's too much NC and the HP recovers easily (even with HR). Not that i'm complaining. HP is already hell in demon diff, with all those NC and few 1/1 gaps, it feels almost like HP9. I'd increase it in insane diff,
but that's mainly for mapset balance (4,5->5,5->6,3)

Easy

  1. 01:41:353 (3,4,1) - I wouldn't place stacks like this, at least for Easy wanna make everything transparent

Hard

  1. The first part here 00:32:019 (1) - has 1.1x spacing and 00:33:797 (1) - has only 1.0x...dem my OCD

Riki's Insane

  1. 01:32:019 (3) - This part is not consistent with the other 3 parts you did 00:20:464 (4) - 00:27:575 (1) - 01:38:686 (1) - which they have longer sliders (nothing wrong just reminding :p)

Hmm...this map is just good for me, or am I shit, cant find anything to mod :c

00:20:908 (1) - you dont use ncs on such sounds later ( 00:49:353 (5) - 01:32:019 (5) - )
01:10:168 (4) - not really a fan of such overlaps, could just stack on slider or something like http://i.imgur.com/pkapPaj.png
01:39:130 (5) - this could use a soft whistle on slider body
01:42:686 (1,2,3) - flows not that well, i'd do something like http://i.imgur.com/jloh567.png instead
01:44:464 (1,2,3) - same, kinda bad flow in my eyes, maybe just a straight line will work better http://i.imgur.com/7HPBf6F.png

03:03 walter85: hi :)
03:03 Ponoyoshi: hey !
03:04 walter85: are you busy these days? i'm searching for mods, it's a short map
03:04 Ponoyoshi: why not, i'm free right now
03:05 walter85: thank you very much :3
03:05 Ponoyoshi: which map ?
03:05 *walter85 is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1342273 F-777 - Deadlocked]
03:05 Ponoyoshi: maybe we can IRC ?
03:05 walter85: it's okay for me
03:06 walter85: but, the diff that really needs mods is the insane gd
03:06 walter85: it got remapped like yesterday, and bn said it needed mods
03:07 Ponoyoshi: okk
03:07 Ponoyoshi: i'll make an ifc for your diffs
03:07 Ponoyoshi: and I'll write my NM for the insane
03:08 Ponoyoshi: after it
03:08 walter85: thank you
03:08 Ponoyoshi: also lets go for easy :3
03:10 Ponoyoshi: 00:29:797 (2,3) - mhmm that choice is a bit off to the before notes
03:10 Ponoyoshi: like,
03:11 Ponoyoshi: the 3 doesn't really have a "reason" to have that shape at this position (no structure)
03:11 Ponoyoshi: maybe at least try to make a triangle with 00:28:464 (1) - end and 00:29:797 (2) -
03:11 Ponoyoshi: should be a bit better
03:12 Ponoyoshi: also, you can stack 00:29:797 (2) - on it
03:12 walter85: yeah that was what i had before
03:12 Ponoyoshi: cause the songs looks a bit different
03:12 walter85: nah don't really wanna use stacks in easy, but i get it
03:12 Ponoyoshi: ok ok, like you want
03:12 Ponoyoshi: !
03:12 Ponoyoshi: 00:42:242 (4) -
03:13 Ponoyoshi: this is just sad to have this not aligned (yeah this is quite nazi arguments but for easy I can't found more)
03:13 Ponoyoshi: so, maybe you should align 4 with 3
03:14 Ponoyoshi: 00:46:686 (1,2,3,4) - this is nice, slider tail a bit off but thats good enough
03:15 walter85: it's okay i like nazi mods
03:15 walter85: because i'm obsessed with aesthetics
03:15 walter85: :P
03:15 Ponoyoshi: 01:17:353 (5) - also this is way more interesting
03:15 Ponoyoshi: here you've added 1 more difficulty element
03:15 Ponoyoshi: only in that par of the song
03:15 Ponoyoshi: I think you can replace this
03:16 Ponoyoshi: simply for the consistency of the map
03:16 walter85: hmm
03:16 walter85: how do you think i should replace it?
03:17 Ponoyoshi: because thats the only elements of the whole map using another difficulty element
03:17 Ponoyoshi: thats not a big problem
03:17 Ponoyoshi: but thats looks a bit strange
03:17 Ponoyoshi: for an easy
03:17 walter85: yeah maybe
03:18 Ponoyoshi: you can let it for sure
03:18 walter85: well, if it gets dq'd for that, i'll change it then lol
03:18 Ponoyoshi: but maybe a BN will say you the same
03:18 Ponoyoshi: for bub
03:19 walter85: we'll see
03:19 Ponoyoshi: oh
03:19 Ponoyoshi: nvm
03:19 Ponoyoshi: you used it twice
03:19 Ponoyoshi: ok ok nevermind
03:19 Ponoyoshi: my bad >.<
03:19 walter85: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
03:19 walter85: i think the argument is still valid tho
03:20 Ponoyoshi: maybe, i'm not very good for modding those low diffs
03:20 Ponoyoshi: for me this is totally good tbh
03:20 Ponoyoshi: this is all for the easy
03:21 walter85: alright
03:21 Ponoyoshi: uuuh
03:21 Ponoyoshi: I think you have to add SR for normal diff
03:21 Ponoyoshi: cause of spread
03:22 Ponoyoshi: up normal to 2*
03:22 Ponoyoshi: minimal
03:22 walter85: already talked about it, pretty sure 1.9 -> 3.1 is fine
03:22 Ponoyoshi: ok ok
03:22 walter85: also i think normal is underrated
03:22 Ponoyoshi: this is just safer but has you want
03:25 walter85: lol noticed some hitsound inconsistency
03:25 Ponoyoshi: i'm not finding placements problems for normal
03:25 Ponoyoshi: seems to be okay
03:26 walter85: up to hard!
03:27 Ponoyoshi: https://imgur-archive.ppy.sh/6nn4VTJ.png
03:27 Ponoyoshi: simple proposition
03:27 Ponoyoshi: for that shape
03:28 Ponoyoshi: 00:28:019 (3) -
03:28 Ponoyoshi: (I'm not a big fan of Red anchor waves ahah)
03:28 Ponoyoshi: just personnal
03:29 walter85: that's nice but i like it this way
03:29 Ponoyoshi: ok
03:30 Ponoyoshi: 00:56:908 (4) - this should be cool to have this clickable
03:30 Ponoyoshi: imo
03:31 Ponoyoshi: well, looks clean
03:31 Ponoyoshi: you made a nice job on that set
03:32 walter85: i wanted to use a simple rhythm than harder diffs on that section
03:32 walter85: btw thank you :3
03:33 Ponoyoshi: 00:24:464 (1,2,3) - why this is more spaced
03:34 Ponoyoshi: than 00:17:353 (1,2,3) -
03:34 walter85: added these later, gonna fix it
03:34 Ponoyoshi: ok ok
03:34 walter85: actually, i'll cheat and move their tails so that they look closer lol
03:35 Ponoyoshi: 00:45:797 (1,2,3) - don't forget these too :)
03:35 walter85: sure
03:36 Ponoyoshi: yeah this is good too
03:36 Ponoyoshi: nothing to say tbh xD
03:37 Ponoyoshi: I'm not a hardcore modder tho but looks ok

[Insane GD]

00:06:686 (1) - should be better with a staight slider indicating 00:06:982 (2) - imo,

00:13:353 (1) - Maybe center the red anchors on the slider to make it balanced

00:17:501 (2) - try to CTRL G this, looks better with the music :)

01:05:353 (1,2,3) - That kind of pattern can be easely missreadable with a triple, be carefull with that

01:40:908 (1,2,3) - perfect triangle pleaseee ; -;

00:17:501 (2) - try to CTRL G this, looks better with the music :) Cool, applied everywhere!

01:05:353 (1,2,3) - That kind of pattern can be easely missreadable with a triple, be carefull with that I don't think so... It's perfectly readable if people just listen to the music

Hello, as promised the mod :3

Easy
01:20:019 (4) - Rip blanket. Did you copy the slider from before? Imo it just looks awkward here with a weird blanket like this
01:39:131 (5) - ^

Normal
00:49:797 (1) - Rip blanket. This one is small though, still not perfect (;
01:14:242 (7) - Please fix hitsounding. Not having this for the whole map and then here such a loud one. Make it a bit more silent for whenever you made them in this map please.

Hard
00:31:871 (3) - Why so low spacing to the next object at these points? If at all i'd make a jump at these points but oh well. Your call really.
01:17:353 (1,2) - Same as in normal about your hitsounding.

Riki's Insane
00:37:797 (1) - You didnt do such an overlap in this part at all just in this object, imo it looks a bit weird and you should keep it to the places where you mapped it consistently to have it as something special there.
01:05:353 (1,2,3) - These sounds are so loud, i dont think a stack like this really represent them in this section, having this one as only difference to "more intense" part (the part after this one) isnt really the good thing to do here imo
01:07:131 (1,2,3) - Also in comparison to this, where theres actually not much the other parts feel just not justified as stack.
01:17:575 (1,2) - Same here again with hitsounding
01:53:797 (1) - Maybe its just me but i honestly dont like the look of this slider xD

Demon
00:11:131 (1,2) - Would look better if parallel instead of ctrl+h'd imo.
00:30:242 (1,2) - Overlap here is kinda ugly.
00:33:353 (1,2,3) - Why is the angle of these 3 so weird compared to the 2 angles on these patterns: 00:32:464 (1,2,3,4) - ? Id change this to something that fits better to the previous patterns here since they are so near together.
01:14:242 (2) - Again too loud hs :/

Anyways, map is pretty good already. :) Just some small things, mostly visual things. Gl with the map! :3

Plaudible
irc check on rikih's diff before mir checks this out, good luck guys! cool set :)

awooga
14:57 Plaudible: hey :D srry for taking so long
14:57 Plaudible: im available now for just a few pointers on your diff for this if you have time
14:57 *Plaudible is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1342273 F-777 - Deadlocked]
14:57 Plaudible: iirc mir's big concern was rhythm density with this but it seems like you've fixed it for the most part so i'll just help clean up a few things here and there before he rechecks
14:58 RikiH_: hi! Sure, tell me everything :)
14:58 RikiH_: yes btw
14:58 RikiH_: I remapped the whole thing
14:59 RikiH_: to make it more dense
14:59 RikiH_: and the new diff got only 1 mod so there's probably some stuff which needs fixing
14:59 Plaudible: yeah when he initially told me he had problems with the rhythm density i was super confused cause i didnt see it pre-remap xd
14:59 Plaudible: guess that's a good thing though, lots better now i think
15:01 RikiH_: yep, it also looks better aesthetically imo
15:02 Plaudible: alright, so first, regarding your rhythm choices at 00:00:464 (1,2,1,2,3) - , i feel like it'd be more sensible to make 00:02:686 (3) - be like 00:01:353 (1,2,3) - , that way you have a consistent pattern of 2 repeat sliders --> 3 circles repeating
15:03 Plaudible: or perhaps you could emphasize the synth that falls on 00:02:834 - with a slider
15:04 RikiH_: okay, that very first part was pre-remap
15:04 RikiH_: it's the only part I didn't touch
15:05 RikiH_: I think I'll choose the 3 circles
15:05 Plaudible: o7
15:07 Plaudible: how far was the unremapped part?
15:08 RikiH_: just until 00:14:242 -
15:09 Plaudible: kk
15:09 Plaudible: alright so one of my bigger concerns with these repeating patterns: 00:14:686 (1,2) -
15:10 Plaudible: they're almost all spaced equally as much as the intro, 00:01:797 (1,2) - and i think you could do more to emphasize them in terms of spacing to make them stand out more compared to the intro
15:10 Plaudible: especially when you have rhythms like 00:17:353 (1,2,3) -
15:11 Plaudible: it'd be better to have those things be bigger to avoid confusion
15:12 RikiH_: uhm, what about just reducing the spcing in the intro?
15:12 RikiH_: spacing
15:13 Plaudible: uhh here maybe a visualization will help
15:13 Plaudible: http://puu.sh/wTTwt/4fc9a61f2e.png
15:13 Plaudible: so overall this shows difficulty in terms of density/spacing
15:13 Plaudible: i think the big spikes on the kiais are fitting
15:14 Plaudible: but in the relatively less intense parts like 00:14:242 (1) - onwards, you have spacing as small as the intro
15:14 Plaudible: with really strong spikes like 00:20:760 (3,4,1,2,3) -
15:14 Plaudible: if you reduce the spacing in the intro
15:14 Plaudible: it'd help a bit but it wouldnt fix the issue of the really big diffspikes being on things like this: 00:20:760 (3,4,1,2,3) -
15:14 Plaudible: even if it'd take more work i think it'd be much better to make patterns like 00:14:686 (1,2) - more spaced
15:16 RikiH_: yeah okay, I say this because I'm afraid that by spacing those things up I would make this a bit too difficult and ruin the spread
15:16 Plaudible: nah dont worry :)
15:16 Plaudible: your diffspikes are what determine the star rating
15:16 Plaudible: slightly buffing these slower parts will have 0 impact
15:17 RikiH_: okay then! Sorry, my last ranked map was in 2014 I guess xD a lot of stuff changed
15:17 RikiH_: how much spacing should I use in your opinion?
15:17 RikiH_: like 1.8/1.9?
15:17 Plaudible: hell you could even do 2.2 or so
15:18 Plaudible: also since you're fixing this, might wanna buff spacing on patterns like 00:19:871 (2,3) -
15:18 Plaudible: easy fix would be to ctrl+g 00:19:871 (2,3) - imo
15:19 RikiH_: yes, that's good
15:20 RikiH_: it will take a lot to fix those btw, since i have to fix the patterns in a way that doesn't look like shit
15:21 Plaudible: yeah of course, take your time
15:21 Plaudible: wanna just mark it down for now then fix it later?
15:21 RikiH_: yeah, i was just going to propose that lol
15:21 Plaudible: sounds good ^-^
15:24 Plaudible: 00:14:242 (1) - so this slider is probably the most complex based on the synth, for example 00:21:353 (1) - maybe keeping it simple like those as well would be more consistent
15:25 Plaudible: only reason im mentioning it though is because it looks quite awkward since it stands out so much compared to everything else
15:25 RikiH_: yeah, going to change it also because i need to rearrange the following two sliders
15:27 Plaudible: 00:29:797 (1,2,3) - flow here stands out compared to your other repetitions, since theres a loud sound on (2) it'd be nicer to give a change in flow there like at 00:36:908 (1,2,3) - for example
15:28 Plaudible: or something like 00:31:575 (1,2,3) -
15:28 Plaudible: similarly i think more soft linear flow would be appropriate at 00:31:575 (1,2,3) - since the synth is getting less intense as opposed to more intense at 00:29:797 (1,2,3) -
15:30 Plaudible: basically what im saying is the flow in the chorus would be cooler if you based it on the synth more
15:32 RikiH_: okay, same as above: I need to think about a way to change this cleverly
15:32 RikiH_: since this will pretty much destroy the whole structure of the map
15:33 Plaudible: kk
15:33 Plaudible: you probably wont have too change too many ideas you've already presented, just organize em a bit differently
15:33 Plaudible: so if you do rework it it'll go a lot faster
15:33 Plaudible: uhh same thing about the next wub section as the intro since they're identical
15:33 RikiH_: yeah sure!
15:33 RikiH_: I just want to avoid patterns like this
15:33 RikiH_: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/8689681
15:34 RikiH_: which look completely like shit xd
15:36 Plaudible: yeh
15:36 Plaudible: tbh hexgrid mapping might help a bit since it's pretty sparse on rhythms
15:38 RikiH_: uh yeah why not
15:39 Plaudible: might just help you structure things a bit nicer, but it's whatever
15:39 Plaudible: plenty of ways to go around it
15:39 Plaudible: just find what works for ya
15:39 RikiH_: triangles are my favourite :')
15:39 Plaudible: xD
15:41 Plaudible: so honestly the last real big thing i can say about this that im not too big of a fan of is how you stack the strong wubwubs like 01:05:353 (1,2,3) - which i think deserve some more love, 01:08:908 (1,2,3) - too
15:42 Plaudible: it'll help contrast the more wunk-y ones on 01:07:131 (1,2,3) -
15:43 RikiH_: Yeah, damn you're right
15:43 RikiH_: I just unstacked the first ant the 3rd
15:45 RikiH_: oh I have a question
15:45 Plaudible: sure thing
15:46 RikiH_: 01:56:908 - is that ok? I mean that little bump on the slider
15:46 RikiH_: which is covered by it
15:46 RikiH_: but it's noticeable during playmode and follows the music
15:58 Plaudible: jesus christ i am terrible about responding
15:58 Plaudible: im really sorry
15:58 Plaudible: i think about ti for a sec then look at something else and get distracted LOL
15:58 Plaudible: that shouldnt be an issue yeah
15:58 RikiH_: ahahahah don't worry!
15:59 RikiH_: Ok great! is there something else? Cause I need to sleep very soon
15:59 Plaudible: that's all i have i think :)

23:15 Mir: okay
23:22 Mir: the normal looks okay now
23:23 Mir: what did he change for the insane
23:23 walter85: idk some stuff
23:23 walter85: wait gonna see plaudible's mod
23:23 walter85: i can't remember now
23:24 Mir: there are some small things i can point out real fast about the insane
23:24 Mir: probably you can fix them
23:24 Mir: cuz it's just aesthetic
23:24 walter85: if they're minor i can fix them
23:24 walter85: yea go ahead
23:24 Mir: 00:42:686 (1,1,2) - can you equalize the spacing for 1
23:24 Mir: the orange 1
23:25 walter85: btw he changed some spacing
23:26 walter85: done
23:26 walter85: are you still streaming xd
23:27 Mir: yea
23:27 Mir: xd
23:27 walter85: o shit
23:27 Mir: i think uhh
23:27 Mir: that's it like some other overlaps are pretty minor and don't really need fixing imo
23:27 Mir: update and i can give you a booble
23:28 walter85: SURE
23:28 Mir: oh yea
23:28 Mir: do you have metadata
23:29 walter85: just a second
23:30 walter85: [https://jessevalentinemusic.bandcamp.com/album/deadlocked-album 10th track], is this okay?
23:30 Mir: yeah that'll do
23:31 walter85: btw can i update the description even if there's a bubble right?
23:31 Mir: yea
23:31 Mir: even when ranked
23:31 Mir: nothing changes

Bubbled.

01:24:464 (5) - should cover the same red tick thing as you did at 01:17:575 (1) - . can still transition into new section without ignoring the unique sound easily

if you need someone to qualify, let me know!!
RikiH_
Fixed, thanks a lot pishi
Ant thanks a lot Mir for the bubble as well :)

Might want to cut the soft-hitfinish.wav and soft-hitfinish2.wav, since both have a 5 ms delay. This is actually the default normal-hitfinish though so even if it's technically unrankable, enforcing it on all maps with default hitsounding would be nonsense. Would suggest cutting it regardless, though, since it'll still make the feedback delayed if left like this.

hard
01:24:464 - this should probably have a grey color, in consistency with 01:17:353 - , not that it matters much though

riki
00:42:686 - So this section is colorhaxed but 01:25:353 - is not, despite being analogous parts. Is this intentional? Was expecting them to be consistent.
01:10:686 (1,2,3) - Would be nice to transition into the next section with something other than a triple, since it's been done all over previously 01:05:353 (1,2,3) - 01:07:131 (1,2,3) - 01:08:908 (1,2,3) - , and the song sounds a bit different here. Could potentially just do a slider into a circle, for example.

Let me know if you'd like a faster qualify, pishi is currently qualifying a bunch of other stuff so the 1 qual a day rule is apparently slowing things down a bit.
