Wow, that's really difficult genre to map. The fact that you didn't give up on mapping this song is impresive by itself.

its indeed a difficult genre, i heard that a bunch :D it was really fun mapping this(didnt even mind remapping it lmao). The map itself is chaotic yes but that was something i was going for because like you said the song itself is that aswell and yea it needs a bit of polishing

00:08:400 - tbh this section ended up feel a lot more spaced and like, faster than what I expected since it's still a relatively calm section building up to the main parts of the song. The way the NC-ing is is pretty much just standard, but it would feel a lot better if each pause had it's own NC, in addition, I feel like the pause for each little music section here doesn't feel as "cut off" as the music feels since you're still going along with flow with the most part while the song kinda feels like after each little music phrase it cuts off to do something else

00:20:076 (5) - mm I don't really like the decision to ignore the red tick and end on the blue tick, I feel both should be clickable since the breakcore drum thing changes a bit to lead into the higher pitch starting from the red tick
00:33:276 (1) - idg the 1/4 sliders in this section tbh, the music is pretty calm for the most part since the vocals are just very soft, sure there's a few emphasis-worthy things coming in the bg, but they aren't really 1/4 notes
01:13:776 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - tbh a lot of places in your map flow quite harshly, this for example switches multiple times between pretty wide angles, while in and of itself isn't that bad, this is a lot sharper than later parts of this section where the music is starting to get more intense, if anything you should be building up to harsher flow instead of throwing it around here and there
01:38:976 (6,7,8,9,10) - kind of a mixture of very clustered notes, I feel like it would be a lot easier and comfortable to play if you just had spacing larger for things like these, sliders have a lot of leniency, especially for 1/4 sliders, so you should probably take advantage of the fact that they play like 1/2 sliders while making things a bit neater looking as well
01:48:876 (1) - would make sense to just extend this repeat because of the rattling breakcore thing going on here
02:08:075 (14) - tbh the things like these in this section don't really feel like they just suddenly break the flow of what you're doing because it doesn't really feel like there's a pattern being followed, if you had a very like, basic structure then threw something in a direction that disrupted the structure you set up, I feel like that would be better at making the player "feel" a disruption like the music does to this calm section
02:54:865 (5) - why not just nc this and remove nc for 02:55:015 (1) -
03:38:364 - idk, this is like the quieter breakcore section but there's not even really any difference from the regular breakcore section, if you made things like a lot more compact and densely spaced for streams and just spacing in general it would have helped but that kinda requires a lot of restructuring
03:42:564 (8) - kinda same thing about the feeling of being disruptive in gameplay as before, it doesn't really feel like these bursts in the music are well represented in gameplay imo
04:45:573 - tbh none of the prominent breakcore drums are really expressed since a lot of the things are streams instead of like, kicksliders for the drum kinda stuff so there's not really a sense of any like, emphasis around here imo

kind of a mixture of consistently sharp flow which doesn't really fit some parts and makes some of the streamy parts feel a bit harsher than they need to be, especially given the bpm, and the stuff above which kinda repeat itself which kinda leaves me with a meh feeling

Thanks for the mod! and like i said no one every really explained to me why my flow is "weird"(the only thing they said is that its weird no explaination given to it) i get it now but i still dont really know where to look for

first off: the timing is a little messed up. this is (almost entirely) a single bpm song, and its 200bpm 7/4 the entire way through, though your offset needs to be set to -25. to mod this, i used the timing you have, so don't change it until after you go through my mod (its gonna take a lot of resnapping and fixing). this has also affected your NCs in that they are not placed on the correct beats in a majority of cases (a few examples: 01:25:776 (1,3) - 01:27:876 (1,3) - 00:45:876 (1,3) - 01:42:576 (1) - ) which you will have to go through and fix (too many to list in the mod, and fairly consistent with how many beats off they are). the string sections starting 02:05:976 (4) - here and 03:29:974 (1) - here do not require extra timing points, the string sounds are just desynced from the metronome at 1/3 beat. you can tell this is the case because 02:08:076 (14) - will land on a large white tick should your timing be correct.

also i think the quiet part could use some rhythm revision. since its such a contrast in pace to the fast sections, why not use more sliders and follow the melody, vocals and background synth more? they are also the most important / relevant parts of that section musically so it feels really weird that the whole section follows the clicky drum sounds in the background that loop and don't change. and sounds like 00:45:276 (3,4,5,6) - are mapped but not the synth melody that repeats (you can hear it start on the head of 00:46:176 (3) - )

last thing i wanna address that pervades throughout the entire map is the use of sliders, particularly kicksliders. you use kicksliders for a very very wide range of sounds and i think you should tone it down. sometimes you use kicksliders when there are no sounds on the blue tick, but to emphasize different things in the music which makes them confusing, and feel like they dont follow the music. it can be okay to do this but generally you want to do it for only one or two particular things in the music instead of emphasizing everything you can with kicksliders, because you also use kicksliders when there are sounds on the blue tick, but you don't use them in different ways, so it ends up losing relation to the music. the same applies to 1/8 repeat sliders, which you use quite effectively to emphasize the sounds here: 01:23:976 (1) - but then lose this relationship/effectiveness by using them here: 01:43:776 (1,3) - or here 02:39:415 (8) - and in other places.

00:10:200 (4) - i think this is better as 2 circles
00:16:200 (4,2) - unrankable overlap (the slider bodies are perfectly overlapped and the second slider is fully faded in before the first fully fades out)
00:18:276 (7,8,1) - virtually unreadable especially at such a low SV where 1/3 sliders look very similar to 1/2. maybe just NC to display that its 1/3 or make 7 a repeat slider and change spacing accordingly
00:22:626 (9) - kickslider since same melody sound as 00:22:476 (8) - ?
00:24:126 (2,3,1) - looks sloppy because of the inconsistent spacing
00:24:426 (2,3) - make 2 a repeat slider instead of 1/3? again its virtually impossible to read
00:27:276 (1,2,3) - why are these slider ends muted and not others? it makes these feel like you don't hit them when you play them since you aren't doing this for kicksliders previously (though i would recommend not doing it to kicksliders at all)
00:36:876 (3,4,5,6) - pretty huge jumps for such a quiet part, almost bigger than anything else previously (applies to all squares in the quiet section)
00:49:476 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,1) - slowly increase spacing to emphasize to music
01:07:176 (2,3) - cant tell why these are clickable?
01:09:276 (3,4) - 01:09:876 (2,3) - 01:11:376 (3,4) - 01:13:476 (3,4) - and so on definitely deserve more emphasis. they are roughly the same size as the jumps around them despite being much more abrasive and in your face drum noises.
01:33:051 (8,9,1) - 9 to 1 almost reads like a 1/4 gap since it has equal spacing to 8-9, and could definitely be misread in such a rhythmically dense song/map
01:43:776 (1,2,3) - not a fan of this rhythm, the blue tick on 1's end has a sound that shuold be clickable and is very similar to 2,3, and the tail of 3 has a very important sound that i think should also be clickable.
01:45:876 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - not sure why these are muted when there are audible, prominent blue tick sounds.
01:46:326 (5,7,1) - the 5,1 overlap is sloppy and looks ugly
01:53:001 (6,2) - avoid slight overlap
01:55:476 (2) - use 1/8 repeat slider like before?

i also think you should try and give your jumps more structure. simply using consistent spacings doesn't matter if you do not shape things consistently or create a consistent visual structure.

good luck with the map! i'm not sure if it can be improved to the point of rankability through modding though :< but at the very least you have learned from the map. it's fun :)

  1. about the beginning, the snapping is kind of weird, mainly in regards to 00:05:827 (2,1) - sliderends like these, shouldn't these be snapped on the 1/4 tick? it doesn't make too much of a difference, but it just seems out of place
  2. 00:08:827 (3) - having sliders in the middle of these sections feels out of place in the rhythm since most of the rhythm stays constant, making these circles would be a lot better rhythm-wise and pattern-wise
    this of course goes for 00:09:727 (2) - this, 00:10:927 (2) - this, 00:12:127 (6) - this, 00:13:027 (2) - this, 00:13:927 (2) - this, 00:15:277 (4) - this and 00:16:177 (4) - this as well, since it's the same thing
  3. 00:16:777 (1,2) - this kind of pattern feels really bland, it's basically giving no emphasis to 00:17:077 (2) - the note on the sliderhead here which is very noticeable in the rhythm, i'd space this out more
    this goes for similar patterns 00:20:977 (1,2) - here, 00:25:177 (1,2) - here, 00:32:677 (5,6,7) - here, etc.

  20. 01:16:777 (5,1) - this isn't emphasized properly as before, and this is actually emphasized less than the two snare hits prior despite you being fairly consistent making these equal emphasis for when they appear in the song

    yeah you get the point i'm basically repeating myself endlessly so to keep things short, i disagree with the emphasis on a lot of notes and the usage of distance snapping especially in a 6 star map, in general it feels awkward to play and doesn't represent what the song is trying to accomplish. i think you did very well for a fairly new mapper in terms of structure and patterns, but the spacing and rhythm choices you chose need a lot of work, which is mainly just due to the fact that breakcore is actual cancer to map well. it's kind of noticeable especially in parts like 01:23:977 (1) - this, where 01:23:977 (1,2,3) - all three of these notes are given the exact same spacing despite 01:23:977 (1,3) - these two being emphasized a lot more in the song in terms of volume.

    in any case, most of those distance-snap emphasis issues persist through the entire map and i highlighted a few of them so it should be fairly easy to spot which ones need work on, i will highlight a few more of the very-obvious glaring ones. besides that:
  21. 01:18:577 - snare should be mapped here
  22. 01:18:727 (4) - this slowdown, while not really affecting playability much, probably requires a NC for the SV change

    actually this happens a lot during these breakdown parts in general so yea tbh i'd recommend looking at ranked breakcore maps to see how they mapped sections similar to this, you'll see a lot of them try to ditch linear flow like you do in the map here for more dynamic flow to make the map more enjoyable
  24. 01:44:977 (1,2) - this is wrong rhythm; if you're following vocals the slider should be on the white tick, and if you're following the drums it's on the red tick
  25. 01:52:327 (3,4,5,6) - these should probably be 1/8 repeats considering the background track is literally a 1/8 drum sound
  26. 02:06:177 (1) - remove this entire section, it would require way too many timing points and offset adjustments to be viable to map and it won't affect approval drain time assuming you extend 05:04:477 (1) - this slider at the end to the end of the guitar riff; an alternative way of fixing would just be keeping the sliders as is and adding a spinner 02:10:177 (1) - after this one to make the drain time less of an issue
    this goes for the similarly mapped section starting 03:30:327 (1) - here 05:03:177 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - here too
  27. 02:15:727 (5,6,1) - this basically takes my concern over the spacing issues and amplifies it by like 10 times, no one's going to know this is a 1/4 kickslider jump to a 1/2 pause until the next rhythm
  28. 02:20:227 (1) - not quite sure if i mentioned this the first time i saw it but wiggle sliders like these are unrankable when they're this close together, it counts as a burai slider i.e. unreadable slider from head to tail

  30. 02:39:427 (8) - this should be 1/8, not 1/16 (also using 1/16 in general in a 200 bpm song makes some of these impossible to hit because of the slider leniency timings so i heavily advise you don't do that in general)

  3. 00:45:277 (5,6,7,8,9) - why is this so quiet? the hitsounds are barely audible here, and it happens 00:53:527 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - here as well with even more notes that are quiet; if you were going to reduce the volume of these since they're less potent in the song 60% or 50% would do just fine, not 20%
  4. 01:33:502 (3,5) - there's no real need to silence the slider ends here either, goes for the entire section really
    03:39:877 (1) - same thing for this entire section, there's noticeable notes on a lot of these sliderends that just go silent for no apparent reason

    yea i see, indeed breakcore is pretty cancer to map because a lot is going on, that is also the reason why there are so many kicksliders for different sounds in the map, i use it for 1 consistently, but there are so many that i used that are just 1 sound for the entire map/song but if dont use a kickslider for it is just doesnt fit. Anyways i will look through the map and fix them

Okay, the beat from 03:25:177 - to ~03:25:477 - is about 1/5 (slightly slower; was done wiht 1/6 kickslider I think) and you could do the 1/5 there if you want (the beat from 03:25:477 - on though is 1/4 triple again so switch right back). Buuuuut the beat where you currently begin the 1/5 (03:24:877 - ) is proper 1/6 as you had mapped it so no need to change the snapping for that lol

(Just click the insert break time button tbh) i agree with the break stuff but i cant put a break time in it because of the drain time, it would go under 5 mins, the first 2 breaks of that section are alright just i think the third one is a bit long(the one that starts from here: 02:10:177 - )

02:23:227 (5,3) - i feel that representing the slider ends as circles or something to be hit would represent the sound better. repeating sliders could work too not really a great idea to put a circle on 1/8 tick, no way it would be predictable and can be accurately hit
02:25:327 (6) - rotate a bit counterclockwise, feels a bit sharp coming from a round stream is fine
03:13:627 (6,7,1,2) - general spacing should be smaller/more consistent ye
03:15:727 (5,5) - same as 02:23:227 (5,3) -
03:29:977 (1) - short slider i think would be better. looks like a sound should be on the end but there isnt one in the song did it for the extended sound
04:09:877 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - keep these going downward. hard to read already with stacks so don't need to switch, especially since the same sound all around are downward too changed it around a bit because there is a sound on the first note on them that i wanted to emphasize
04:47:602 (2,1) - rotate angle to be like 04:47:152 (1,2,1) - for consistency did something else but changed
