I added up the best results from every user in the topic, and I'd still be 25,33 Mb faster if it was a single, unified connection. <___<

Try out some other servers. You might get much better results, even if it's not the closest one.

Netherlands is #8 in DL speed worldwide... not bad, I guess. Apparently, we're #2 worldwide when it comes to highest % of internet connections, just above 92% of the Dutch are 'online' I believe.
Vroom vroom! I have a few apps runing but I'm too lazy to shut them all off to see if my speed improves. I've used the site before though so i have plenty of past tests..

The sad part? When I choose either the recommended server or the Twin Cities, MN server, I get about... 1.3K for download, 104 for upload.... Less than 90 ping though, unlike my 250 ping above. Time to check out more servers!
