[General]
- is it acceptable to avoid placing the programmed epilepsy warning by storyboarding your own in? you may want to ask some BNs or QATs
- why is "Hard" not named "sp3's Hard", or something along the likes of that?
00:06:552 - this timing section should be deleted. the entire song is 3/4 from what it looks like since the piano is following 3/4 more so than 6/4
- you need to get rid of excess skinning files in the map's folder. there are many, like the images for "Mode", "Auto", and all of the letter rankings. there are more, so be sure to go through the folder and delete them. according to modding software, these are the unused filed:

- since you are using a custom skin, i think you need to manually add a custom slider border in the .osu to avoid certain complications with the skin.
- drum-hitfinish3.wav has a lot of extra static noise at the end of the file. i strongly recommend you find a way to remove the static since it makes the file larger than it has to be and sounds bad

[Easy]
00:14:157 (1) - there is not enough time between the end of this spinner and the next object for lower level players to recover from spinning. to fix this, i would shorten this spinner by 1/1 so it ends at 00:15:425. this is crucial because because new and inexperienced players usually have a very hard time transitioning from spinner to circle/slider.
00:26:833 (1,2,3) - space these objects out a bit farther so they don't overlap. the overlap looks rather ugly, and is also inconsistent with the spacing you have at 00:29:368 (1,2,3), a very similar pattern.

[yanlu's Normal]
00:02:326 (1) - remove the whistle sound from the body of this slider. it doesn't sound right, and there is nothing in the music to support adding that whistle sound there.
00:11:622 (1) - adding one more node at the center of this slider, like this, would make it look much better. it gives the curves of the slider more definition and shape
00:15:002 (3,4) - why is the spacing between these notes larger? please make it consistent and symmetrical; there's no reason to have such an odd spacing change, and especially not in a normal difficulty.
00:34:439 (4) - seems as if you're missing a NC here. placing one would make your NC pattern here consistent with the rest of the map.
00:36:974 (2,3,4) - why are these all slanted in different directions? it would make more sense for you to make them all parallel to each other for neatness
01:14:580 (3) - perhaps you should move this up a bit. the border of this circle almost goes off the screen

[Hard]
- OD +0.5. the OD is pretty low for a hard difficulty
- HP drain +1. why is it so low?
00:07:819 (4,5) - the large spacing here really caught me off guard. so soon into a hard difficulty and you already have a pretty large jump. i would move (5) upwards a bit so the jump isn't too big and out of place. example: 00:17:960 (3,4)
00:10:777 (2,3) - space these out a bit more so they don't overlap.
00:29:368 (4) - NC here for consistency
00:44:685 (1) - the HP drain is lenient enough here so you can remove the break after this spinner
00:51:763 (5) - same as previously mentioned for consistency
00:53:876 (2,3) - same as previously mentioned for consistency

[Sharlo's Insane]
- OD +0.5. OD 7 works best for most insane difficulties
- HP drain +1 or +1.5. it's so low..

- HP drain +2 or +2.5. it doesn't need to be that low; the map is not too challenging and the song is not very long.

00:21:657 (2,3) - why are these stacked like this when all the other slider doubles are stacked differently?
00:56:411 (2) - looks a bit weird imo
01:01:059 (1,2,3) - why is this reversed compared to the other 2 similar patterns before? its a bit weird to play and i cant really hear anything in the song to justify it

cant actually find anything else, its a really good map and im really digging the christmas skin elements

i decided to come up with a couple solutions to 00:56:411 (2) -


ofc a normal curved slider would work, but might be a bit boring, you can make them go into a different direction too

it can be pretty hard to read the circle numbers font against the white combocolour. also, the white colour can blend into the background quite a bit, i think you should change/remove it

01:18:805 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1) - these notes are quieter and lower pitch than before, i think using larger jumps here is really weird, i think you should make 01:17:537 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - the big jumps and 01:18:805 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1) - the small jumps

添加配套的pause-overlay.png 和fail-background.png ?现在暂停界面只有那几个按键变了 没有配背景感觉有点奇怪

uhh personally it feels like the easy could be buffed a little or the normal could be toned down; since the easy is fairly simplistic, there is not exactly much of a "lead-in" on to the next diff cuz it uses a lot of 1/2 rhythms while there's huge gaps and long sliders on the previous diff

keep in mind that it only needs to be slightly adjusted since normal uses enough simple rhythms, just needs to be toned down to transition better from easy but not too toned down that it doesn't lead in to hard lol

This movement is too complex for them, and they generally don't have the reaction time to deal with a 1/4 slider like this regardless.

Your justification doesn't fit because by your logic, you could use 1/4 repeat sliders in an easy diff and say it's okay because the total duration of the sliders is still 1/1 or whatever. It doesn't work like that.

yes, that's right they don't even have the reaction time to make the whole movement so turn out it would work similar to simply holding the slider there. - like moving to the middle of the sliders and the slider end already since is duration is very, very short as long as it does not contain too many reverses. With this criteria, the note intensity at that place should be completely fine.

Of course, I am not a bn/qat so I'm not an expert of ranking criteria, therefore what I said might not be very accurate. Please correct me if I made any wrong claim.

Putting https://osu.ppy.sh/b/65951 as an example (I know, it's a very old map), in saymun's normal, 1/4 reverse sliders are also being applied to the map. (e.g. 00:23:445 (1) - )

this does not address the issue i'm bringing up, which is that your easy has very simple rhythm while your normal is significantly more complex. yes, your easy uses a lot of 1/1 gaps. your normal regularly uses multiple 1/2 gaps in a row, which makes it much harder than the easy in terms of note density. i recommend you raise the difficulty of the easy by use of occasional 1/2 gaps in the most intense parts of the song, or lower the difficulty of the normal in a similar way.

I'd be willing to buy the BPM excuse to an extent along with the fact that since it's the only 1/4 in the song (aside from 00:05:073 (3) - ), so the 1/4 slider does make it stand out. I still personally think that the slider is too short, but I won't let my personal opinion stop you from pushing this forward.

For what it's worth, guidelines are there for a reason; you can't just break them willy-nilly. I wouldn't consider what you provided as an "exceptional circumstance," but who am I to judge if others would see it as such.

@Regou, snapping of notes does come into play when referring to note density. You wouldn't put something like this in a hard, even though the space between notes is all 1/4, right? The example doesn't apply to this situation but I wanted to respond to that point.

anyway, as i advised earlier, patterns like 01:08:664 (1,2,3) - or 01:11:199 (1,2,3) - are pretty confusing, so i advise changing them

also, sections like 00:36:974 (2,3,4,1,2,1) - still seem a bit dense - replacing 00:36:974 (2,3,4) - with circles would fit much better imo.

anyway, as i advised earlier, patterns like 01:08:664 (1,2,3) - or 01:11:199 (1,2,3) - are pretty confusing, so i advise changing themFixed


also, sections like 00:36:974 (2,3,4,1,2,1) - still seem a bit dense - replacing 00:36:974 (2,3,4) - with circles would fit much better imo. Fixed
same at 00:25:566 (3,4,5) - ofc i think this is ok

in any case, after you do that, zero wind can rebubble

lol I don't really get why you're making such a big deal over a 1/4 repeat slider in the normal diff, it is by no means at all unrankable, it's a guideline like stated before. The only issue that would arise from it is that players maybe misread it as a two circle, but this is more or less forgiving due to it being at the beginning of the map. In any case, you shouldn't really be saying something is outright unrankable when it's just in the guidelines section

this slider is made by yanlu, but i think this is good, it's not stupid

很抱歉,不好意思上一次的言辞有些激烈和不恰当。我当时有些气愤因为我试着去逼你按照我的想法修改但是并没有用。我并没有冒犯的意思,如果有的话还望见谅。

对于1/4折返滑条,我仍然认为对于Normal是不适合的。因为新手玩家在打这个滑条的时候光标移动速度会很快,这对于他们来说是非常难的。这也是为什么我建议用其他的东西代替。即使1/4滑条和音乐很配,对于这个难度来说,我认为是不恰当的。对于00:25:566 (3,4,5)我建议把他们都改成单点,因为在 00:36:974 (2,3,4) 的pattern是一样的。我感觉这样就会解决问题。


anyway, I guess the 1/4 is fine, so you can just go ahead and rebubble it then.

also should swap this nc 00:36:552 (1,2)
