Hating the taste is normal, don't know about the smell though, it doesn't smell very nice to me.
I love coffee flavoured drinks. Real coffee is not worth it.

Yeah I always liked the smell of coffee but the taste was awful.
I used to dislike coffee until college. It suddenly converted into a necessity, so i kinda developed a like for it and developed my way of drinking it, a cup milk 2 spoonsfuls of sugar/sweetener and 2 spoonsfuls of instant coffee.

The smell and taste are amazing. But not as amazing of a taste as strong, cold, unsweetened black tea.
