I always wonder what kind of shoes people wear
Like, seriously. It's a thought that really burns off my head. So.. let's talk shoes now

Never had those proper school shoes. During my earlier school days, I wore leather asics. The shoes held up well. If it weren't for my foot changing in size, we probably would've never had to buy new shoes. Only now have I changed to adidas for school shoes. The shoes are comfy, but I've only had em for about 6 or 5 months, already have a hole in. Asics would never.Kitte (remi in my heart) wrote:
I don't really spend too much on shoes.
For the longest time I'd wear Anko Schol Shoes from Kmart to school, but a few months ago I decided to buy actual leather shoes from some British Manufacturer, and holy shit they're so much better. Don't break, extremely durable, logo inside the shoe doesn't fade, good size. That's probably the one time I consider such a price tag on shoes to not be a waste.
As for sports and outdoor, I'm wearing whatever I stole from my dad. Works just fine.
You guys can just wear sports branded shoes like that? Damn lucky.sametdze wrote:

Man my uni does not accept any kind of open shoes. I wish they did.Jangsoodlor wrote:
Sneakers for classes and a day when I need to walk a lot, otherwise I wear flip-flops like these with no socks
This is the exact model of one of my flip-flops btw I regularly wear this.
The "Star Elephant". I often pack these when I go on a trip since it's veeery thin and therefore doesn't take much space when packed. Who would want to wear sneakers all day anyways?
i don'tJangsoodlor wrote:

It's heavy. But when you wear it, it feels like you've been given the power to conquer all the puddles and dirts out there!
That's why I get wide shoes but my toes are already fucked because I grew up with dumb parents who wouldn't listen to me when I said my shoes hurt because they were too smallWitherMite wrote:
A design flaw of modern shoes is the toe box.
Our feet were not made to be crammed into that kind of taper, and doing since childhood fucks up our toes, pushing them together and creating issues like bunions, hammer toes, and other toe/foot conditions as well as weakening of the muscles.
But natural toe boxes are ugly so the issue persists.
