Well, handwriting has been becoming less and less common compared to years ago, but anyway, I'd like to see your answers. I have no particular favorite but I am more inclined towards mechanical pencils.

i feel like mech pencil leads break too easily so i use pencils
Fountain pain, looks nice when you write with it (I'm NOT old)
school made us write with pens (used ballpoint mainly) so i'm more used to using them
