Song 2 EASY LOVE SS

This actually had me shaking, I've only SS'd a handful of 5* maps

Song 3 More-More LOVE 98.58%

Annoying bursts, not worth grinding acc

Song 5 can't hide your love 97.40%

I literally couldn't pass this a week ago, and now magically I can almost FC it

Song 7 enchanted love 92.50%

I hate this map, but possible leaderboard

Song 8 Love Synchronicity SS

Didn't think I'd be able to SS with hyperx reds, but I did somehow

Song 9 First Love 97.23%

It's weird going for acc and not FCs

Will put songs in order whenever I SS or get an acceptable acc FC/pass
Small edit - Haven't been able to play much due to college and playing other games with friends. But I finally had time to sit down and fully play the pool, super rushed scores
Edit 2 - nvm fixed the problem, but either way gg Aiz I'm not gonna lose my sanity trying to get good acc on this map pool

YOu didn't get back to me on moving up before sign-ups were over, and neither did Heipizhu. Thus, I cut them both. I made a post about it (with the part in question in bold, no less) two days before sign-ups were over. You could argue I should've sent DMs to you both about it, but both of you had plenty of time to tell me if you wanted to move or not.

You're more than welcome to ask for the maps if you want them, but I'm not going to run a challenge for a single-person bracket.

Correct. I will probably always make the majority of the maps be at the SR in question, but I wouldn't be against having up to 2-3 maps that are significantly easier for the sake of pushing players to use multiple mods to get an edge.

I can still send you the map list if you want to try them, though.

Also, spreadsheet is updated. I need to go to bed right now so I'll attempt to actually count up points tomorrow (/today) or Sunday. If anyone knows of a good way to indicate positions by song such as with conditional formatting, do let me know as I'd like to show that as well but I'm admittedly worried about fucking up the whole thing.

I will also be sending out warnings to everyone with one or fewer submissions tomorrow/today as well. as a heads-up, these players have submitted one or fewer plays to the challenge:

-meeuw
-DPeace
-Bathbombman
-AccountWontWork
-XDreamawayX
-Vaniels
-Happy Satoko
-Rika-Desu
-Juradon
-MitoMitoso
-KupcaH
-Uranium_

You all have until the 15th to have at least two plays submitted or you will be DQ'd and removed.

EDIT: ALso, grats to Aizuuya for actually gaining pp from the challenge, lol.

Nah, I just missed it. You're in there, now.

However, your link to #5 (Love Song) leads to a missing page (though I did find it on the song itself), and your SS for Easy Love isn't showing up on Osu itself from what I can tell. I don't doubt that you got the SS, but if you could still provide me with a link from the site itself to be sure, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Hey, Kup? I think you looked at the wrong bracket. You're in the 49-10K bracket, not <10K, so you likely got the wrong maps to play.

Still, I'm willing to give on this since you did get some submissions in before the time limit. Just be sure to get the right ones and update your post.

Like I said, I have effectively zero way to QA 5*+ maps beyond playing them with Auto and just hoping they look playable, and even that is a stretch for me because stuff at your level is still mostly beyond my comprehension. It sucks, though.

In any case, Dpeace, Dreamaway and KupcaH are still in the competition. All the others listed have been disqualified due to not submitting any scores (or in AccountWontWork's case, not submitting enough). Thankfully, though, it does mean that the remaining four brackets all have at least two players. I highly encourage everyone to at least a score input on all the songs, if only to have more points to work with; if you have no score, you get 0 points.

EDIT1: Now updated with the point totals for each player. As a reminder, points were given based off the number of songs in the bracket plus one for SS-ing; there are 10 songs, so the most you can get per song is 11 points for being in first place plus an SS. If you don't have a submission it is treated as 0 points.

And since nobody asked, here's some commentary on the brackets so far.

299-200K
DPeace and Biess are actually in a very tight race with only 3 points separating them. DPeace leads with 6 maps to Biess' 4, and a lot of the acc %'s are very close. I could see either of them pulling a head with a serious session or two in the coming week.

149-100K
Lecram has an almost de-facto lead due to being the only one of the three participants to have all 10 scores submitted, but let's not discount the fact that Flareling has 5 SS's so far while lecram has none. Even if he just submits something for the four maps he hasn't yet, he'll overtake lecram in points from that alone.

However, Aireunaeus isn't one to be left out, either. Though he has fewer scores submitted than flareling, the ones he has submissions for are very competitive and actually outright beat lecram's by a couple of percentage points. Furthermore, he has the superior SS on Can't Hide Your Love with a 3-mod HRHDDT SS over Flare's HRDT. Don't let the points disparity fool you; any one of these three have a shot.

99-50K
It's kinda funny how both dreamaway and zyoulou are neck-and-neck only because they've submitted scores in opposite places. And the only reason it's not tied is because Dreamaway has one less submission. It's a little harder to guess how much competition is here due to the fact that neither of them have directly competing scores, but I still have hopes!

49-10K
With Kup's accidental mis-download and MrSparkle disappearing after two submissions, this has basically been the Aizuuya show. Can MrSparkle pull out 8 more submissions? Will Kup's proper downloads lead to better results? Only time will tell.

<10K
Yoony did admit that their scores were going to be somewhat trash, and while I wouldn't say they're complete trash they still admittedly pale in comparison to DeathHydra. I think Yoony still has a shot, but it will be a long one, and even if he doesn't I wish for him to try his best at it regardless. I still believe you can make DeathHydra work for it!
[ Sebastian ]
I don't want you to send me the maps. I'll just wait until next month if you're doing another one of these.

TWO DAYS LEFT!

I sent out reminder DMs to all participants, and the spreadsheet is fully updated for all submissions and points. It seems that, in the home stretch, things aren't going to be much different to how they were in the middle for a variety of reasons, but at least there was some level of competition between everyone so I'm happy about that.

For the players who still haven't submitted scores for everything, do remember you can still get a steal on people if you just have scores submitted before the deadline.

The results are in! With much love, the winners are:

From the 200-299K Bracket, DPeace!
From the 100-149K Bracket, Flareling22!
From the 50-99K Bracket, Zyoulou!
From the 10-49K Bracket, Aizuuya!
and from the <10K Bracket, DeathHydra!

All the winning players will be receiving one month of support from me, most likely sometime over the weekend since I'll need to approve international purchases first. As Flareling has requested his winnings go toward OT's got talent, I'll be posting over there shortly to include my winnings (even if the Finale is over by now, I think?).

Many thanks to everyone who participated. I have to admit, it's a little up and down in regards to my feelings on the challenges. My biggest wish would be to see that all the brackets have participants and that they are all competitive, but I figured that would be a hard sell even from the start; still a wish, though. Just the fact I even have 3-5 brackets with people competing in them is amazing enough. It does also help that while I'm trying to run these as well as I can, I do know that a lot of this is experimenting with points systems and rules to see what works and what doesn't. That being said, I do hope to have it mostly solidified by July or August for the rest of the year, and presumably can maintain the same ruleset for any in the future.

In any case, feel free to drop any comments, praise, and/or critique here. Anything I can do to make the next challenges better is always appreciated. And of course, don't forget to sign up for the March Marathon challenge which is open to sign-ups as of this post!

One opinion that I have about the points system, is that some maps shouldn't be worth the same points as others.
I'll give an example of two maps on my bracket:
Solfa feat. Ceui - Koiiro Recipe
YOASOBI - Love Letter ( I assume you put this map here so we could DT it, but even so)
The difference is like night and day, just play both of those maps and you'll see what I mean.

Of course it would take quite a bit of playtesting to put this into practice so I don't know really, maybe the same thing happened in another bracket, just my opinion.
Koiiro Recipe is a goated map and I couldn't even stop playing this shit, it was a hell of a drug, I was grinding so hard for the FC that I forgot about the challenge lul

I disagree with that, while I do agree that those maps were harder than the others maps, it was mainly due to the required skillset (alt). I think instead of those maps being worth more (or less?) points, there should have been a higher variety of skillsets being tested. (perhaps 2 maps of each category? consistency, jumps, streams, alt, tech). Anyways, it's sad that you weren't able to play the rest of the maps, hope u will be doing better soon!

I think setting up an optional discord server for this challenge would be a nice amelioration to make it more lively. With a discord players would be able to see each other scores more easily (without having to check on the sheet if the scores are there or on the forum as the sheet isn't always updated). Players could also submit individual scores faster (for example, could do a >rs and then ping you). Each time I felt like I had to submit multiple scores at the same time due to score submission being tied to a forum post. I would have liked the ability to just send scores whenever I played on of the map instead of feeling forced to send them in a batch ^^

Perhaps having individual threads for each players in which they send their score would work pretty well.

Thanks again for the challenge, was overall quite fun!

i think a discord server would be a great idea, but probably not a thread for each player because that would clog up the forum with 20 threads (unless if a 'Voidedosu Challenge' subforum is created which is unlikely). in a discord server there can probably be a channel for each player though

Yea you are right, was just thinking of that as a way to avoid lots of ping, perhaps a thread for each bracket, so participants can communicate between each other and see each other scores and create a sense of rivarly

DT/HD/HR/whatever, but yes.

I do get what you're saying, but I genuinely have no idea how I would even mitigate that. I guess I could make it equal to the number of players, capping at the same points as there are songs, or something.

There is still the issue of me personally not having the ability or time to judge that for myself, but I suppose there's always making requests for them.

I have no intentions of using discord or making anything on discord as I personally don't care for it, but if somebody wants to make a server on there for you all I'm all for it and I'll gladly leave a link in the OP if someone makes one.

I would say that just remembering to edit your post as you make each play would help, but that's just me. idk if that'd help you or not.
