I linked specific maps for each bracket, although it wouldn't hurt to include a spot for the specific difficulty name in the spreadsheet.meeuw wrote:
So, if I'm correct, since I'm in 299-200K (3.5-4*): I will have to set scores on the 10 maps listed in your spreadsheet, and the difficulty I play should be the one between 3.5-4*? And I have to set these scores between 8 and 21 February? (You should use UTC btw, because 00:00 8 February is different in different places in the world...) And last step is to put my scores in this thread?
The maps you play are specific to the bracket you're in, which is set based on your ranking. YOu're welcome to try and play the other maps (or other maps included in the mapsets for your songs), but they won't have any affect on your placement.
Yes
And yes.
SS's would be ideal, yes. However, as cool as that would be for the higher SR maps I'm not expecting it there, just FCs at best.Aizuuya wrote:
So did you actually make these pools with people fucking SSing everything in mind? Like rules arent even defined for what happens when someone doesnt even FC the maps.
Also, unless I missed something, you're graded by acc % first, which is the first priority. I listed several examples for how winners are determined, and the first example given shows that. I admit I didn't consider weighing between a high-acc non-FC and a low-acc FC as I thought the acc would be a better indicator, but if everyone thinks it would be better to prioritize FCs almost regardless of acc over non-FCs with high acc. (or something to that effect) I can include that in the rules for this and future challenges.
EDIT: To be a bit more specific, I'm asking two questions:
1.) Should FCs generally be prioritized over non-FCs, regardless of acc.? Or should it purely be about acc. regardless of if it's FC'd?
2.) If the answer to #1 is the former, should there be a minimum acc. requirement on FCs before they are considered ahead of non-FCs? (i.e. if this cutoff is 90%, then a 96% non-FC would be considered winning over a 89% FC, but a 90% FC would be winning over that 96% non-FC.)
These are questions that can be answered throughout the challenge, as I would only need an answer determined at the very end before I tally up points. The sooner it's answered the better, though.
EDIT2: The challenge has officially begun, btw. I would like to make a new post for that, but the forums don't allow that within at least a 24-hour period, so.
Also, I have provided a template for housing your scores here in the thread. I highly recommend you all make a post in here ASAP so that I can find them all in fairly close proximity (plus I could include links in the sheet to avoid skimming the thread or something). I would also suggest you try and keep them in the order provided in the spreadsheet to make it easier for me.
