Your bracket placement is based on your rank, not what you can play. If you wish to be in a lower aka more difficult bracket, get your rank down to that level first.haxyie bf wrote:
im down but i can play 4-4.5* so i think the 199k-150k bracket would be more suitable for me
Yes I'm joining. Sorry I thought we can just post whatever to join.Voidedosu wrote:

I'm honestly leaning towards no. Not out of disrespect to the person who actually tried, but I personally dislike giving rewards out when it's like nobody even showed up. I want to give it out because there were two or more people who gave it an honest try instead of because only one person bothered to show up and participate.heipizhu wrote:

Hi, I'm here again. Just curious, if someone enters the challenge but all his opponents didn't submit a single score (like what's happening to me last time), will this 'lucky' guy get his supporter?
That's my rank in ctb not in std ;-;Voidedosu wrote:
I am...honestly rather surprised I have 4 sub-10K players, plus a goddamn 3-digit. Wow.
Oh. Whoops.Zyoulou wrote:

pls put me in the correct bracket
I'm going to try this challenge without that rule. If it becomes a significant problem (as in an entire bracket is going solely for HT SS's) I'll re-instate it for later ones.flareling22 wrote:
you should probably add a rule saying that SS's with EZ or HT don't count towards the reward for SS'ing all songs. sorry if this ruins anyone's plan >:)
also,
Not even the [easy]/[normal] one?Aizuuya wrote:
Yeah I can't fc a single map in my bracket so fuck that lmfaoo my opponents have 2019 scores that beat the scores I set now on these maps. Maybe would've been fair if I was a 6 digit.
Thank you for clarifying. However, with biess4 taking the advancement option, that leaves you alone in the 499-300K bracket with the same choice.haxyie bf wrote:
also slight reminder that i'm participating (however i don't see my name on the player list)
thanks
Just check Voidedosu's unerpage and you'll know why he's trying to encourage people into SSing everything.Aizuuya wrote:
So did you actually make these pools with people fucking SSing everything in mind?
Just HTAizuuya wrote:

I linked specific maps for each bracket, although it wouldn't hurt to include a spot for the specific difficulty name in the spreadsheet.meeuw wrote:
So, if I'm correct, since I'm in 299-200K (3.5-4*): I will have to set scores on the 10 maps listed in your spreadsheet, and the difficulty I play should be the one between 3.5-4*? And I have to set these scores between 8 and 21 February? (You should use UTC btw, because 00:00 8 February is different in different places in the world...) And last step is to put my scores in this thread?
SS's would be ideal, yes. However, as cool as that would be for the higher SR maps I'm not expecting it there, just FCs at best.Aizuuya wrote:

nvm I think i can play (it won't be pretty though)yoony1 wrote:

He's just encouraging players to go on a 3or4 mod SS play to let players competing more competively. Good luck!dPeace wrote:
also about map 10: are we actually gonna play the easy diff?
YOu didn't get back to me on moving up before sign-ups were over, and neither did Heipizhu. Thus, I cut them both. I made a post about it (with the part in question in bold, no less) two days before sign-ups were over. You could argue I should've sent DMs to you both about it, but both of you had plenty of time to tell me if you wanted to move or not.[ Sebastian ] wrote:
Wait, where is my bracket?
Correct. I will probably always make the majority of the maps be at the SR in question, but I wouldn't be against having up to 2-3 maps that are significantly easier for the sake of pushing players to use multiple mods to get an edge.heipizhu wrote:

I can still send you the map list if you want to try them, though.[ Sebastian ] wrote:

There'll be another one in March, though I think most of you won't like it.Lilyn wrote:

Hey, Kup? I think you looked at the wrong bracket. You're in the 49-10K bracket, not <10K, so you likely got the wrong maps to play.KupcaH wrote:
*stuff*
Like I said, I have effectively zero way to QA 5*+ maps beyond playing them with Auto and just hoping they look playable, and even that is a stretch for me because stuff at your level is still mostly beyond my comprehension. It sucks, though.XdreamawayX wrote:

Were you in a bad day when choosing them? It feels like I've just put a splinter below my toenail and kicked a wall whenever I play some of these maps.
I will keep playing thoTech player arc incoming.

DPeace and Biess are actually in a very tight race with only 3 points separating them. DPeace leads with 6 maps to Biess' 4, and a lot of the acc %'s are very close. I could see either of them pulling a head with a serious session or two in the coming week.

One opinion that I have about the points system, is that some maps shouldn't be worth the same points as others.Voidedosu wrote:

I disagree with that, while I do agree that those maps were harder than the others maps, it was mainly due to the required skillset (alt). I think instead of those maps being worth more (or less?) points, there should have been a higher variety of skillsets being tested. (perhaps 2 maps of each category? consistency, jumps, streams, alt, tech). Anyways, it's sad that you weren't able to play the rest of the maps, hope u will be doing better soon!XdreamawayX wrote:

I'll give an example of two maps on my bracket:
Solfa feat. Ceui - Koiiro Recipe
YOASOBI - Love Letter ( I assume you put this map here so we could DT it, but even so)
The difference is like night and day, just play both of those maps and you'll see what I mean.
I think setting up an optional discord server for this challenge would be a nice amelioration to make it more lively. With a discord players would be able to see each other scores more easily (without having to check on the sheet if the scores are there or on the forum as the sheet isn't always updated). Players could also submit individual scores faster (for example, could do a >rs and then ping you). Each time I felt like I had to submit multiple scores at the same time due to score submission being tied to a forum post. I would have liked the ability to just send scores whenever I played on of the map instead of feeling forced to send them in a batch ^^Voidedosu wrote:

i think a discord server would be a great idea, but probably not a thread for each player because that would clog up the forum with 20 threads (unless if a 'Voidedosu Challenge' subforum is created which is unlikely). in a discord server there can probably be a channel for each player thoughZyoulou wrote:

Perhaps having individual threads for each players in which they send their score would work pretty well.
Thanks again for the challenge, was overall quite fun!
Yea you are right, was just thinking of that as a way to avoid lots of ping, perhaps a thread for each bracket, so participants can communicate between each other and see each other scores and create a sense of rivarlyflareling22 wrote:

Of course it would take quite a bit of playtesting to put this into practice so I don't know really, maybe the same thing happened in another bracket, just my opinion.
Koiiro Recipe is a goated map and I couldn't even stop playing this shit, it was a hell of a drug, I was grinding so hard for the FC that I forgot about the challenge lul
