I haven't made a thread in probably over a year but I have a bit of time right now so may as well jump in the AMA bandwagon.

pretty bad. Had two very heavy snow storm in the past weak. Many people had their roof damaged by the sheer power of the wind, and there are a lot of fallen tree along the roads.
Recently I have been trying to learn Japanese, I am pretty serious about it, I hope I can one day understand enough to immerse myself fully into Japanese culture without relying on translation. I have been studying everyday for 57 days now. I don't count the hours per day but it is a lot. Studying Japanese basically takes up all of my free time.
I am studying software engineering. It's pretty cool, though I don't know what kind of software I want to do in the future.
Well, there are many, mostly show that remains unfinished in anime form. 3-gatsu no lion, Hibike Euphonium and Houseki no Kuni are the main 3 anime I really want to see continued. As for anime I'd just like to see more of, regardless of whether the story is completed or not, nichijou and Girls und panzer fit the criteria.

When I began university, I tried to become more efficient with my time and to stop procrastinating so much. Turns out a lot of my time on OT was me procrastinating from homework. With all of my procrastination time not with me I slowly became overwhelmed by reading every thread and ended up lurking.

Sadly not. Since pandemic hit I haven't had a place to play. I hope I can get back into it one day.

I am pretty out of the loop so I don't have much opinion on it. But it seems like activity has been pretty good. I did enjoy reading about the government roleplay thread that popped up.

I am not that old, only barely 6th gen (so barely in fact that I actually started out the 7th gen before being re-classified into 6th gen). When I first started, activity was primarily focused on roleplay, which I really liked.

No, I never really sang seriously. I did apply to OT!Idol when that was a thing but that project died a terrible death.

it's sammmmm, welcome back~

what's some convoluted jargon you've learned while in uni? how do you think you'd apply it?

what's the most meaningfully/phonetically/aesthetically desirable name to you? why is that?

Well, it was different in that it was a group of denizen trying to be an idol group rather than individual singer.

I don't think I have learned much convoluted jargon. Just a ton of acronym for about everything. SOLID+T, agile, scrum, devops... I'd apply it as a mean of communication between fellow programmer.

I have no idea. I suppose I prefer Japanese name phonetically since I think Japanese sounds really nice. But I don't think I could answer.

I think there are 2 I want to mentions. Dango daikazoku, which is a song very dear to me. It's a song I listen to in moderation because I don't want to grow "tired of it" as happen often when you listen to the same song over and over again. I usually listen to it when I am sad or stressed out.
The other is Ai yue no ketsudan. I think it remains as the song that had the biggest impact on me. Granted, a lot of that was due to the directing of the movie it was in, but when I listened to the song, I felt like I was hearing a conversation between the two duetist, that is something I have never felt before in any other composition.
