Judging from the early responses in this thread, it kinda proves my own theory I held in the past that popular doesn't mean it should be Loved. Yet everyone kept telling me that Loved is a popularity contest or whatever.

this map was huge when i first started playing, everyone knew the map and put it in every multi. i really didnt care how good the map was as a new player, the song was good and it did follow the song

Just gonna say this now, I appreciate what you are doing here, trying to show that you are gonna nominate highly favourited/played maps, but I hope the outcome of this doesn't prevent you from continuing to, because I still believe the outreach/advertising for loved is abysmal and can be integrated in the game client much better to reach the wider player audience (who this map caters to)
I remember playing it a long time ago in 2019, with my friend who sadly quit, but I still give it a play from time to time to renew the memories. Good times.

imo loved voting system needs some kind of rework. A map like this is clearly "loved" by the community (10mill plays 6k favs) but obviously this will never pass the voting, same as stuff like goodbye moonmen. Maps like these will never be loved with the current system even though they are clearly "loved" maps.

Personally I don't think that this map is fitting to be loved, but I don't see any harm in letting people vote on it (even if it takes nomination place). Getting results for it would be an interesting community survey at the very least

Frankly I think our current system is quite good and fair. If a map is so problematic that it warrants such a large amount of the community speaking out and voting against it, there's clearly an issue at play. Of course, our current system favor's the voices of the more ingrained, dedicated, community members, but that seems appropriate given said community members are generally much more knowledgeable and experienced with the game, and far more capable of giving a critical review of a map.FinnaDie wrote:
