Yes, it is a favorite of mine but there are plenty of songs that are my favorite from series that I have not mapped nor do I even want to map. There is a reason behind the song itself other than I like it, just like anything else I do map.

Astrid, as shown earlier there is more than just one, hence why it is still open. If someone said Wendigo first I would have said it was answered and never known about the Shíta, which is another answer that I never read about when I dove into Native American beliefs (Hopi I didn't find much to read on when I was doing this, probably due to the area that I live). All I ask is to have some sort of link so I can at least read up on it and expand my knowledgebase. There is a lot I don't know and some of the questions I have asked I do not know every last answer for it either (like the meme Peppy map stuff) and I just hope you guys can find all of the answers. For the open ended questions, I look forward to see what you guys can find. Even for the questions that I think only has one answer, if you can prove that another answer works just as well I will give you points.

Ghilans are from Arabic tales while Banshees are from Irish tales Astrid.

abraker, can you link for that? running through a few sites I couldn't find his age. Link was provided in DM. Since it does involve some controversy, I do not want to post it here.

Main post has been kept updated, look at the answers. This is one of the questions where there are multiple answers to it, hence why it is still an active question. Wendigo has been said before.

Cleveland, I do need to play that game one day but I do not find that song sad though. That song is literally all I know about the game as well x.x

The hottest planet is Venus due to it's thick ass atmosphere full of carbon dioxide. It can get up to 477 °C (but avg is 460).

axl, remember that some of these questions have answers that are different than "common knowledge" like how long a day is. It is easier to say 24 hours than how long a day actually is.

Astrid, I have no idea who Jocelyn Flores is, but the song you linked is one that I can see myself listening to when I have a bad day.

abraker, all that video did was make me watch that anime, but from what is shown in the amv it looks like a really messed up one that would make people cry. The video itself is just interesting.

Corne, though it is not the same voices as I remember (never watched the sub of pokemon, only the dub) it is still one of those sad moments of the anime.

Actually it could be the skin-walker, but that's more of a shapeshifter now that I think about it. Then again... Jenu was also cannibalistic. It could be Jenu you are referring to. There's like so many cannibalistic native american legends lol.

When I first did the question I actually only knew about the Wendigo, but others did give others that fit the description so that is why it is still open. Jenu I have heard of, but need to double check on them. Wechuge I might have heard a long time ago as well.....I need to brush up on this <.< >.>

well i've listed 3 out of possible suspects since they're all different

hundreds of them, but im pretty sure wendigo is a big one, and very popular

the other two are lesser known however, so idk what the answer potentially is, did some googling, all three fit the bill

The answers you gave and mine are similar since they share relationships between these tribes, meaning inevitably other tribal cultures would adopt them to fit themselves. The question in itself has A LOT of answers since neighbouring regions will share culture based on similar experiences.

The Teihiian were an example of the same concept, but it even says on the page that a lot of other tribes in the region have a variation of the myth, supporting that the ice cannibal myths (like the wendigo) are related to one similar creature.

You can make this argument with other creatures as well, like Big Foot/Sasquatch since there's variations of it across the world/

Corne, no on just humans for the cannibalism, looking for actual monsters/myths for it.

Jonar, I do appreciate that you created a song for this. though it is not sad to me, I will still give you points for the work you put into this.

bbq chips, non-bbq, hell crab chips are fucking golden as fuck

doritos are alright, but not my style, and im not a fan of hot and spicy chips

i just let the bag rest on my lap and just grab one or two and look at my screen without care of what im eating
