I mean sliders that are very very slow than the other slider in the map.Like the one in U.N. Owen Was Her-Nico Nico Douga
Well, I'm online on my computer at the mom so I don't have osu and so no screenshot.. but I think you know what type of slider I mean!

I'd say that Tornados could be classified separately since they have a long duration of time (repeating). Also, it's even better when the pattern rotates/moves around (as seen in some Shinxyn maps). <3

Nominating another

Central Anti-jumps

A note/slider placed in the center of other notes and/or sliders but spaced the same in the timeline.
It's a more recognizable form of anti-jump I believe.

From-To sliders are sliders that either end at or converge from a single point?

Art circle way are notes that form circular patterns???

I think most types of "art circle way" can be their own beat formation and mapping technique but idk

Looks awesome with high BPM and high velocity/slider speed.

Star Formation

A pattern of at least 5-6 circles placed in a way so the followpoints looks like a star.
Most commonly a jump but it can also be spaced.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Wizards In Winter[Insane]00:49:164 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Earilest example I know
IOSYS - Poinsettia[Insane]Later part's of that difficulty is almost only that.
Susumu Hirasawa - Big Brother00:57:372 (1,2,3,4,5) , good example of a bit more closely spaced star formation and usage of 5 circles (5 circles is usually more common)

It can go the other way too (as in, the 6 slider above curves to the right instead)

Endpoint Slider Jumps

Consists of a slider in which the ENDPOINT is distance spaced with the previous note. This means that you have to jump to reach the actual start point. Almost always used in some sort of symmetrical pattern.

Compressed Streams

Those streams that are only 2 or 3 level 3 grids apart (or considerably small compared to the rest of the map). It's used in just about every map using streams.

Self-explanatory from the title. A technique where you use two spinners in a row, usually to make a hitsound for the next spinner without the use of a circle or pre-spinner note. (There are ranked maps which use 3 in a row but are very rare)

The common usage of this technique is either before a break or near the end of a song.

Nominating: tieff's double beat jump - Call them whatever you guys want.

The main idea of this is: group of 2 circles separated with a larger spacing than the spacing between the two circles in the group, and generally are placed almost parallel, and each group has a new combo.

Sometimes I find it more appropriate to actually slow the slider speed down during the chorus instead of speed it up. Perhaps change the wording of the description?

Pretty self-explanatory, these are sliders that "curl up". They can be used when the music goes from higher pitches to lower ones, or vice versa.

I'm not sure if this technique has been nominated before, but at least I should try nominating it:

Jump Pauses (I can't find any better name orz)

Description : Basically notes which separated much (~1/1 or more) on the timeline, and placed after a jump. They are placed so closely (or even stacked) so they gave a "pausing" effect. Could also be continued again with another jump.

Examples :

Ikareru Kin no Shishi - G59 ~ Hyper
DJ YOSHITAKA - ALBIDA ~ Manten
Rex - Heart of Witch ~ InoStyle

From what I see this is much used accompanying a dominant bass sound (:

well, depend on how you use antijumps they can be used even in easies difficulty and be easy to read...

After seeing the "Drain Section" I'm nominating the Recovery Section (aka new combo spam :P)

Basically it's the usage of many new combos in a certain section of the map, preferably right before the chorus or the repeat of the chorus. It works best with higher HP drain rates and is supposed to "heal" the player right before the more challenging part is starting. Also there can be more of them e.g. to recover after a hard section.

There are many maps with new combo "spam" but I don't know if the mappers had the recovery-technique in mind, so I will post 2 of my own maps where I intentionally used this:

Map #1: HTT - NO, Thank You! (TV Size)


Map #2: Rina Satou - Keikenchi Joushouchuu (TV Size)


In both examples I used the new combo section right before the chorus repeats. I think "NO, Thank YOU!" is the better example since the HP drain can be pretty harsh if you don't have a good accuracy (~95% or higher).

Anyways, how do we get the Krisom criss cross sliders to be rated? I like those sliders.

I have one I want to nominate, I see this popping up more and more

Stream Jumps

A change in spacing in the middle of a 1/4 stream to create a very quick jump, usually accompanied by a new combo

Some mappers use sliders before a stream jump to make the jump easier.

Examples:
Oriental ST8 - Shoreline

100-200-400 - Fascination MAXX

A large stream jump on a 200 BPM song
DragonForce - Cry for Eternity

Some stream jumps in the 170bpm section, these using sliders before the stream jumps to make them easier.
