How did you get to know osu?

Well mind kind of happened a couple times
VGcats was like "YOU SHOULD PLAY THIS" and I was like "OH MY GOD I JUST BEAT EBA I SHOULD TOTALLY PLAY THIS" then I played for 3 months or so and then switched computers and then osu didn't want to uninstall so I was like :c.

A couple months ago Gonintendo was like "LOOK AT THIS AWESOME PHOENIX WIGHT THING" and I was like "OH MY GOD I USED TO PLAY THIS" tried to instal it on my computer and it worked so I played it like crazy for a while then stopped

Fiiiiiiiinaly my skype buddies said "WE NEED A NEW GAME" and I was like "ok" so I created a list of about 60 freeware games and put osu! down just because I remember having fun on it a while back. We never chose it as our game that we always played but well ya, played it ever since

EBA, heard of, played a bit of.
When I saw a video of osu! on Youtube, I thought this was a mouse-only game, and I was impressed. When I found out you could use the keyboard, I was disappointed.

While looking for a dance interpretation of Ouendan on the web, Youtube recommanded me to check a video of Don't stop me now on osu!.

First, I was like "Naaah, can't be possible, such a great game on PC, it would be a dream :( ". Then I checked the video description and saw the link to osu! website, and was like "OMGWTFBBQ it really exists !!!!!111!! :) ". And there you go.

My Italian friend told me about this game and linked me the site. I said "cool" and I downloaded it.

I'm one of those where my friends linked me to it. The best part is, he told me that his motive was just so he could curbstomp me a few times to feel better. Within a week I got a 94% accuracy doing hard mode maps and he stopped talking to me. I don't even know if he's on osu anymore. If you're still around: Sorry if I scared you? Ahahaaa :x

Reading this thread makes me think everyone was invited by someone.

As for me, I was searching for more rhythm games to play, Google led me here. Didn't like the concept at first, but changed my mind afterwards.

I heard EBA was a good game, so then I tried it emulated, but the hitcircles were so tiny.

Then I later saw a video of osu!, but it was CatchTheBeat, and I thought that the whole game was catching fruit. So I forgot about it soon after.

Months later I searched a Touhou song on YouTube and saw a video of someone playing it on osu!. Then I realized osu! also has a standard mode and a Taiko mode and is full of Japanese songs so I downloaded and played it.

I found it by lurking 4chan's /a/ (the only board I reside from, at least now). They have some osu! nights once in a great while, saw it a few times and passed it up. One night I was like, "eh, I'll give it a shot". Best decision of my life. I love this game so much, I'm so glad I gave it a shot.

A few friends told me about this game. Hardest game ever when I still tried to play on Touchpad :)

My girlfriend was playing it, at 1st glance I thought it was one of those stupid games.
But after trying it (well, she pretty much forced me) I thought it was actually kinda fun.... and now I play it when ever I got the time for it :)
