우선, Musical Masterpiece는 다른 작곡가 친구분과 함께 만든 '팀' 단위라고 합니다.

그런데 마니에라 같은 경우엔 아베 유타님 혼자 만드신 곡이라고 하십니다.

트위터에도 언급되었듯이 작곡가님이 원하시는 마니에라의 아티스트 명은 D(ABE3) 입니다.

또한 후에 작곡가님의 곡을 사용해서 랭크할 경우, 작곡가님의 동의 및 허가를 받은 뒤에 사용하도록 요청 하셨습니다.

위의 내용은 작곡가님의 공식적인 블로그에 서술되어 있는 부분들 입니다. ( http://abeyuta.syoyu.net/ )

동의 및 허가 절차는 위의 홈페이지 포스팅에 나와 있으며, 작곡가님은 모든 매퍼분들이 이 과정을 무조건 거치기를 기대 하십니다.

이 홈페이지를 꼭 링크하도록 부탁하셨습니다.


일단 마니에라 같은 경우엔 동의 및 허가 절차를 거칠 필요는 없어 보이고,

위의 두 가지를 시행해주시면 메타데이터 문제는 해결 될 것으로 보입니다.


영어가 서툴기 때문에 정확성을 위해 한국어로 적었습니다. 후의 매퍼들을 위해 누군가 영어로 적어준다면 좋겠군요 :(

Artist name should be 'D(ABE3)' as he(composer) wishes. we should respect his opinion, right?




and for future, he wants to let all mappers must get agreement from him which they can use his song when they try to make ranked map.

we can get agreement from his blog. there has written some ways to get agreement.

also, all maps which has used his songs must have link that is written his info in readme. http://www.muzie.ne.jp/artist/a044483/


i hope someone can translate what i written in korean. and ask me something else if you can't get some.

I personally think the artist should be "D" seeing as that is the artist name he used in the BMS for the song when he submitted it, which basically makes me see that as the official artist of the song.

However if he wishes the artist name to be "D(ABE3)" or whatever I guess that is fine, albeit kinda weird to me.

I'm not a master of song policies but I think a song doesn't actually have an official artist unless copyrighted, if it isn't copyrighted however I believe osu! as a rhythm game should label the artist as whatever name the artist submitted the song as...if there is no confirmed artist in the source you'd probably have to ask the artist if possible or stick to "Unknown Artist".

Just posting my personal opinion here, by my logic the artist should be "D" but I do not think we should disregard the artists wish for this.

I personally contacted Abe Yuta and he gave me permission to use MANIERA as long as I fix the artist name (to D) and mention the link that suwako has provided

Hello!

Unfortunately, the Quality Assurance Team has decided to disqualify this beatmap. The following is a list of reasons and examples for the disqualification. We do not outline every issue in detail, so make sure to take the idea behind each reason and apply it to the entire beatmap as issues might be found in more than the spots mentioned below. General

Metadata

  • Currently the Artist field of the metadata is incorrect. It should be "D(ABE3)" instead of "Musical Masterpiece", as confirmed by the song's Artist themselves.
    As a result it is recommended to add "abe yuta DWMω" into the tags as well.
Awkward Gameplay Elements

  • A few sections in the Hyper difficulty should be changed to make it play less awkward and more friendly for newer players. For example,
  1. 00:40:181 - This section with the double chords can be very tricky for newer players. We recommend reducing the chord structure (from 2-2-2-2-2 to 2-1-2-1-2, for example), or making the patterns more easier to play (symmetrical, for example).
  2. 01:10:757 - This section becomes really difficult as it combines LNs on one hand with jacks on another, making things like 01:12:343 (72343|5,72488|4,72488|1,72632|1,72632|3,72776|2,72776|0) - really awkward to play depending on the playstyle considering this is for newer players.
  • In the Masterpiece difficulty:
  1. 00:06:720 - to 00:11:335 -, 01:41:621 - to 01:46:237 - These additional notes layered into this section are very awkward to press whilst also keeping track of the continuous jacks at the same time. We suggest you to limit the layering in this section - keep the double note chord jacks for the piano (and the LNs for the bass), whilst ignoring all other instruments for example, to make everything less awkward and provide better and clearer emphasis on the jacks in these parts. (Also allows for a better spread, since Another only layers the piano and is fairly easy to hit in these parts)

If you happen to have concerns about this disqualification, you can contest the decision with this form. Before using this form, please read the instructions carefully.

The Beatmap Nominators may handle this mapset after the issues have been addressed.

Just contest the DQ, it's really unjustified.
"Newer players", every top50 player should be able to get a good score on the chart. This isn't a mapset for noobs but for good players who can play BMS overjoys

Also, the metadata was wrong anyway; can't contest a DQ for a metadata problem, especially one where the artist explicitly said themselves it was wrong.

If these people who got their 1000+ pp plays on Masterpiece diff. truly deserved it, then they can do get them again when/if it gets requalified/ranked.

    Agreed, changed the overall pattern to be easier + eliminated the ln use here
  • In the Masterpiece difficulty:

    I honestly do not think that I have to limit the layering here to only piano. By making the jacks and the ln independent by putting them on separate hands, it makes it very possible to hit the percussion notes (and also provides clear visualization on which note represents which instrument. In addition, the Collab Another diff does layer in a bit of the drums (but not everything).

If you happen to have concerns about this disqualification, you can contest the decision with this form. Before using this form, please read the instructions carefully.

The Beatmap Nominators may handle this mapset after the issues have been addressed.

I've considered for a while whether to use the remastered mp3, but I think I will keep the current bms version. There are a lot of differences between the current mp3 file and the remastered file that it's not really possible to say that this is just a "better quality". The music itself has a bit of a different feel, and some of the parts of the remastered version doesn't seem to be very coherent with the way I mapped parts. In addition, the elongated petals in the piano seems to drown some of the parts of music, as well as the accented emphasis created at some parts of the music. Finally, I've noticed that some of the snaps are different since it is not limited to the snaps of bmse. Therefore, I cannot be too sure about most of the snaps. But thanks ^^
