01:59:294 (2,1,1) - I'm pointing out this once because I'm lazy. lol It feels a bit hard to go back to (1) after that HDash. Maybe the problem is with my control but I can't reach it or when I can I miss a lot. I suggest moving the next stream a bit closer to the HDash.
02:33:618 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - This is not really interesting is it? Lets try out something else. Move (3) to x:112 and (4) to x:240 (this is just the actual pattern, you can place it wherever you want). Mirror this with (5,6,7) and add a few grid distance between the two triplet.
02:38:355 - 03:09:148 - The slider here are kinda boring. I know this should be a calm part but still some easier curve with increased SV can be used. There are many nice pattern for slider which fit in calm parts, like S or and easier >. Just a few one since I counted 23 here around half of them can be changed. Since these 02:47:040 (1) changing nothing, just being shorter than usual.
03:43:822 (12,1,2,3,4,....) - Interesting, or not really. Its the worst type of stream for CtB. This can be pushed a little if you add a curve to the opposite direction from the middle. And actually the distance between notes can be a little higher. http://puu.sh/aBcbB/33709f1703.jpg
03:54:875 (24,1) and 03:55:665 (12,1) - The distance between them follows nothing from the music. There is only one long sound there. I suggest you to merge these patterns into a long one with some stop-go pattern inside of it. Trust me it will be better.
04:39:157 (1,2) - Why? Merge them or make 04:31:261 (1) similar. I know its not exactly the same but gives the same feeling.
05:30:278 (3,4) - I'm not sure about this HDash. Yes, it is following the drum but as I tested it I want to focus it more to the actual music. And if I focusing to it the HDash should be at 05:30:475 (4,5). This is just a matter of taste probably but I feel it better.
06:18:832 (2) - This direction change is a bit sudden. Can you just move the tail a little bit right? One grid should be enough to make the flow better a bit.
06:22:287 (5) - This breaks a flow badly. Lets just use 3 circle instead. I though about x:288, 192 and 224. Feel free to change them tho if you accept the 3 circles idea.
06:33:966 (6,7,9,10,12,1) - Some HDash can be added to these maybe. There is a small music change at these place.

Thats all I can say. I'm not really into streams stuff nor maps for approval. My pc is dying from 1000+ objects in the editor. This mod actually took me 2 days with many restart to free my ram. Well, probably i'm just trying to find excuses to my bad mod. lol In overall I think the diff is nice and the streams are easy enough, maybe they are too easy. My only problem is with your NCing. I didn't pointed this out in my actual mod because its not worth it but sometimes your combos exceed 20 which is really high. Yes, its not that bothering but recently I got an NC mod with 10-12 in a row. So maybe you want to lower them a bit. As for streams I usually put NC on the white tick in the middle (downbeat if I know right). Anyways, good luck and star because I kinda like the song and because of my poor mod. o/

Actually that pattern is easier than players expect, since you don't need to move the catcher at all, but just on the dash transitions)

The bug with the Editor is known. It can be fixed via Options menu, and typing Editor -> Click the 3rd option and you'll save RAM (but in exchange you cannot revert the applied changes).

@Metadata: According to Cytus' wiki the artist goes capitalized, and as that's the original source, I'll keep it like that. The rest of the tags were fixed (Chapter 4? wth was I thinking about?)

Why did you use Death Note Font for the Story board ;w; Well, nvm.

  1. 00:05:681 (2) - I really cannot find a beat here. If you do something like this it fits the rhythm a bit better in my opinion:
  2. 00:07:230 (3) - If you map this sound you also would need to map 00:07:423 - , 00:07:617 - , 00:07:810 - because they are the same beats. However, if you applied my first suggestion you should keep consistenty here by doing a long slider with reverse arrow again.
  3. 00:08:004 (1,2,1) - Maybe increase distance a bit to give it a bit more movement because the beat is quite loud here.
  4. 00:26:520 (12,1) , 00:41:681 (3,4) - , 00:42:649 (3,1) - , and so on.... - I agree to put HDashes here. However, in your stream you didnt keep consistency on this beat. This drum appears quite often and there should be a HDash always at the same position. I show you what I mean:
    (1) 00:32:391 (3,4,1) - The drum beat appears here, you also added HDashes here, that's fine by me. But the HDashes BEFORE that section (please check them out by yourself again) are confusing because the music is too low for that. Consider reducing the distances here to keep just normal Dashes and only HDashes on the drum beats.
    (2) 00:38:681 (5,6) - Looking on the drum here again a HDash should appear here definitely. Don't worry about 2 HDashes successively, you already did it in your stream before.
  5. 00:58:714 (4,1) - The HDash is fine but a normal CTB player expects another HDash to the left, this simply improves the flow here. Moving 00:59:488 (2) - to x: 96 here works fine, it plays smooth to me.
  6. 01:01:810 (8,1) - Why a HDash here... I mean the beat is not even getting louder and it is coming out of nowhere. Just keep the distance as you had at 01:00:649 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) -
  7. 01:03:746 (1,2,3) - I dislike this pattern. It doesn't play very smooth. An option would be to ctrl+G (2) and decrease the distance between the sliders to avoid any HDashes, still I am not 100% sure about this.

  17. 04:50:013 (4,1) - HDash maybe? But if you do so get rid of the spinner and map on the notes which I also prefer because there are a lot of notes that can be mapped well inside of the spinner.
  18. 05:20:014 (5,1,2) - You should consider adding HDashes here. The rhythm repeats here quite often, you always put HDashes on that section apart of that single one, consistency hi.

Assuming you have an accurate timing: (but I still suggest for rechecking, because I have heard that L2A contains a lot of red lines)

04:07:377 - I know what you want to express but here really lack a note. separate the stream like this will break flow deeply.

04:09:845 (1) - to 04:10:733 (1) - I suggest to use 1/6 only to show a pause. Now I cannot see a reasonable rhythm pattern here....

04:11:424 (2) - move to 04:11:457 - (move 1/12 more)

04:25:077 (1) - silencing the beat when the spinner end?

04:37:183 (2) - I dont think here needs a beat. breaking the pause of the music. I will make 04:35:999 (1) - this a single note, or extend this to 04:37:578 - here using a reverse slider without beat.

@Spectator: I took finally your .osu file and revised all the hitsounds. Sounds great! About the NCs, I applied only some (cannot rememeber which ones, since the new .osu had already some NC changed) but as long as there's not a real problem with the visibility, I'll keep some of the 24s.

  10. 05:57:318 (1,2) - Move them a bit to the right. I think a lot of players tend to move to the center of the screen on blank parts like these to have a better positioning for upcoming notes, so this might be a bit unexpected for sightread play.
Just a personal thought: While I understand why the streams in Loneliness were mapped they way the are, it can sometimes feel a bit boring. Here's what I suggest:
  1. 03:34:413 - 03:59:679 - Leave this as it is. While streams like 03:43:888 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24) - are what makes it feel lame/boring, I think it's adequate to what the song makes me feel.
  2. 03:59:679 - 04:12:312 - The song changes a bit here, like it's a little bit happier, brighter, but retaining the sadness/loneliness feeling, and that's slightly reflected in more spaced streams and catcher movement. On that basis, you could make these streams a bit more spaced too:

• how about rotate 01:54:649 (7) - to 45degree and move it to x:112 and also move01:54:843 (1) - to x:320? i think it would be better with those HDash jumps to emphasize your custom hitsounds

• i think 03:59:548 (11) - can be moved to x:136. IMO it will give a better distance between 03:59:285 (7,8,9,10,11,12) - when the distances become far and far

• move 05:37:976 (2) - to the right side on x:464 and also move 05:38:568 (5) - to x:48 ; 05:38:666 (6) - x:112 and 05:38:765 (7) - x:176. the flow of the patterns are much better IMO

• move this slider's direction 05:43:699 (7) - to the left, like this

the flow will be much better because 05:43:107 - until 05:43:897 - (the direction will be right~left~right a bit and HDash jump)

• you can move 05:54:950 (1) - to x:128 so it will give a HDash between 05:54:901 (16,1) - . this HDash function will emphasize the last note (before the song becomes calm for a while) and also it can emphasize the cymbal sound well!

• move 06:01:957 (4) - to x:284. the distances between these notes 06:01:661 (3,4,5) - (the end of (3), (4) and the beginning of (5))
will be much better too (because it will get the balance distances between them)
and also you can move 06:01:562 (2) - to x:244 too

• how to move 06:10:740 (1) - to x:184? i think with this HDash will be much interesting to be played :P
for the example, you did it too on 06:23:306 (8,1) -

• how to move 06:32:155 (2) - to x:416, just to reduce the distance a bit

• change the 06:38:373 (2) - 's direction to the right side, like this :

i changed that direction to make it flow because the next note is on the left side. so i changed that reverse slider to the right side (so it'll be left~right~left for the direction) and it jumps to the left side :P

  1. Weird background size, can't you cut it to 1024x768? (or is there any special rule for storyboards? ._.) (That's a guideline, but as long as the format is 4:3 or 16:9 it's still ok)
  2. Personally I'd prefer if you add another break into that song. There is no real time to calm down a bit before 04:53:369 - , so I would like to see that. For example you could erase 01:39:456 (1) - and add a single note at 01:40:907 - or shorten the spinner at 04:25:077 (1) - for example. The spinner at 02:05:778 (1) - could be WAY SHORTER as well. It's not much but still something if a player needs to pause for a moment. (I thought the beginning of the second song was enough for the player to recover uguuuu)
  3. 00:39:165 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This stream is very boring. If you reach it properly you don't need to do anything apart of keeping the position. Please shift some of these notes to make this more interesting. (I think you're the 1st one to point it out! Thanks, changed)
  4. 01:01:810 (8,1) - I didn't expect any HDash due to the previous patterns, I'd prefer if you keep this consistent with them and remove the HDash. Just select 01:02:198 (1,2,3,4) - and move it slightly to the left, (Appeared also in 00:55:617 (8,1), not that tricky imo)
  5. 01:33:165 (1,2,3,4,5) - Wouldn't it be more logic if the distance rises from note to note? Just a suggestion anyway, I personally dislike decreasing dashes. In case you don't understand what I mean, I prepared a screenshot: (Alright, done)
  6. 01:39:165 (4,1,1) - I hate HDashes before streams but meh... Maybe at least a higher distance between note and spinner to make this whole thingie feel less forced, for example: (Agreed, also the visibility of the last note increases)

As well it's pretty much impossible to catch the spinner in a whole since the first important Banana appears far more left than the note at 02:05:681 (1) - . Same counts for 07:07:584 (1,1) - , 07:13:900 (1,1) - and 07:26:532 (1,1) - . (I know you will keep it) (Why should I keep it if it's reasonable to change? :p)
  8. 03:20:991 (4,5,6,7,8,9) - I find this pattern very disturbing. I love how you mapped the whole Loneliness part but somehow I'd prefer to see a normal stream-pattern with some higher distance here because you did map the piano music afterwards very similar. This breaks the flow a little because it requires some quite dashy movement already and all of a sudden in a (still) quite calm rhythm. (Sure, changed)
  9. From 03:26:518 - until 03:31:255 - there are two different piano voices you can focus on. Some more "high pitched" piano and the one with the "lower tones". Since you kinda mixtured them up I find this section a little confusing. As for example I would ONLY focus in the high pitched piano - which means you would not map the following beats: 03:28:097 (1) - , 03:29:281 (1,2) - (apart of the first note) and 03:29:281 (1,2) - (apart of the first note). That's a matter of taste anyway, I just find it more clean that way. (Good point, though leaving the low-pitched piano sounds unmapped would make that part feel empty. Gonna leave it as it is by now >< Decreased the volume of those notes to give more importance to the other ones)
  10. 04:05:601 (9,10,1) - Feels a bit rough, decrease just a little please. (Reduced distance there)
  11. 04:24:878 (24,1) - Little higher distance suits well to the music. How about x: 208 for (1)? (/o/)
  12. 04:43:894 (1) - Please move this 2-3 grids more to the right. Dash is okay but this one feels very rough and too surprising, barely catchable and I guarantee it will lead to some misses and frustration. (Moved the previous slider instead, same effect)
  13. 05:36:791 - Give this green line an audio of something between 50-60% and add a Finish hitsound at the slider end. There actually is a cymbal and it can be emphasized like that way better. (I didn't hear it so well, hence increased that section only to 40%)
  14. 06:01:069 (6,1) - You think you maybe can add a HDash somehow by re-arranging the previous pattern? I think it fits better due to the harsh piano sound at 06:01:266 - . Same counts for 06:02:450 (6,1) - btw. (Not that harsh compared to the high-pitched piano sounds of the previous notes)
  15. 06:17:846 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - I dislike this pattern, especially because you go from high HDashes to Dashes. Plays awkward in my opinion. I would have done it vice versa. Starting again with lower and going to higher distance. (Hope it's more pleasurable now!)
  16. I don't know what to think about these patterns from 06:48:636 - until 06:50:117 - . I don't like them but up to you if you wanna think of something else here. Lemme explain what I hate about them so much: A soft move to the right like we have at 06:49:031 (4,5) - is contraproductive if you need to dash all in a sudden back to the left again at 06:49:294 (6,1) - . This thing will lead to frustration again, I appreciate a more simple pattern like triangle shapes: (Made them softer)
