Renekton is more of a lane bully that transitions into a tank with a little bit of damage late game. I wouldn't call that snowballing just annoying to lane against.

Annie has always been a tanky mage and still is. You can straight up build her tanky AP items and still melt teams.

Late game you will have like 130+ armor and 100ish MR with a little under 3k health with those 4 items.

I have to admit that Sunfire Cape on Annie is weird, however it was more efficient due Life/Armor than Rylai's honestly.

I ALWAYS build Annie in a tanky way because it always worked better to me as being Full AP. And with her E she is both, tank-like and strong.

There is absolutely no reason to ever build sunfire cape on Annie when Zhonyas exist.

I wouldn't say it's a mandatory item for her build, but it's good on her. Just think of it like a second RoA instead of mana you get a bit of utility with a slow.

Yeah, I have zero idea how to fight a Renekton. >_> Tanky, damage, sustain with mobility.

Jax I am starting to see every now and then. Got demolished by a Jarvan IV the other day... His passive does a lot more damage than I remember... D=
It sucks because the champion that I used to rely on for fighting Jax (and Nasus) is Garen... but teams don't like when I use Garen for the purposes of lack of teamfight ability (even if I do well). =(

That Syndra only plays like 4 champions in ranked and none of them are mid laners. There are tons and tons of one trick ponies in diamond (I'm one of them).

For example if all the champions I play get banned or picked I will play like a bronze 5 so it's better if I dodge. That very rarely happens though because most stuff I play will never go FOTM.

Warwick has kinda been fotm twice already, but Riot won't let it stay that way for long.

The odds of all the champions I play going FOTM at once is extremely rare.

Zilean hasn't been fotm since season 1
Volibear was good in season 3 for like a week and got nerfed. He is seeing competitive play though.
Galio was never really flavor of the month at all if I remember correctly. He was played a lot top/mid in season 1 and 2 but it never reached fotm status.

Then I have my troll picks like Urgot that I'm good with.

So yeah if every single one of those champs become ban worthy I might be 100% screwed in ranked. Also I'm sure soraka will be considered useless after her nerf on the pbe goes live so there is another champ I play that I can use again. lol

Zilean mid is actually pretty strong, I've played him in ARAM a couple times and with 40% CDR your W (which reduces all your CD's by 10s) will be on a ~3.5s CD = Perma bombs, slows, speed ups and an insanely low CD on your ult = tons of utility and dmg

The only reason I don't play him is that he is very mana hungry and his lasthitting in lane is crappy
His teamfighting isn't as weak as people might think as long as you stay back and put all your stuff on the frontline and let them do stuff. That's probably why he is played more as a support nowadays

I don't think he is that good of a support when you compare him to other supports. I don't even remember the last time I saw him as support.
I pick him when there is multiple hyper carries on my team and I want a safe mid lane champion that isn't Ziggs or Nidalee. His mana cost aren't that bad unless you spam early which you shouldn't be doing. Once you get athenes he is kinda retarded.

He is similar to Orianna which has a good early game super strong mid game and transitions into a utility mage late game. I'm kinda dreading his rework, but he is really outdated as fuck when it comes to mechanics.

I don't doubt it. I never said he was weak at all. I've been a Zilean fan since pre-season 1 which he was perma ban status back then.
He is still really good now just outshined by stuff like Orianna.

Zilean is like my 4th most played champion. lol

I remember when I bought mecha kha zix last year the week before he went on sale.
1. I should of got the refund.
2. Every champion I buy with RP gets nerfed somehow or another.

Pantheon got nerfed
Twisted fate got nerfed
Kha Zix got nerfed
Kassadin got nerfed

I'm never getting a caitlyn skin but i'll defo get the Braum Skin.

With how Riot leaves certain things in a broken spot for the longest time the majority of the community thinks "overpowered = viable" now. Just being good at a role doesn't cut it anymore.

Everything is viable in solo queue though you need to work harder with certain champions.

I think Kha'Zix is still one of the top junglers atm.

My friend mains him and from what I've seen he's still very strong. Also I've noticed that jarvan has been wrecking me in top lane even when I build defensively, is he in a really strong spot at the moment or am I just bad?

What are you playing against him? Jarvan has always wrecked early game power houses like Riven in lane even before the buff to his passive.
Just play super tanks like Shen and Malphite against him.

Yep this is exactly what Ryan Choi builds. Rengar is only viable if you go pure damage and oneshot a carry. GA is useless because if they pop it, you're going to die anyway.

I don't build like 5 Doran's Blades though I get maybe two, then rush last whisper then tiamat into Sheen then finish my Hydra. The amount of damage I can do early is really strange cause at times I can 100-0 someone in 4 seconds and other times it doesn't even dent them.

So, serious question.
How do you lane against a Renekton? Seeing them everywhere left and right and always losing.
I can't reliably fight him with any of my top laners except Garen (and even then it's a coin flip), and I have several teams that don't like Garens because of lack of team fight ability. I never win lane against one. My main top laners are Gangplank, Irelia and Malphite, sometimes Wukong.

Help? =(

I always go Vayne. Always. ALWAYS. When I see a Renekton, I will always go Vayne. I mean, I go adc naturally anyway, but if I was partying and a friend wanted to go bot, then I'd give it up and take top. So Renekton is fun to mess around with. I'm not sure, but I always wreck a Renekton with my Vayne. My Vayne is pretty decent, too. I'd recommend that.. at least try it or something.

I always go Vayne. Always. ALWAYS. When I see a Renekton, I will always go Vayne. I mean, I go adc naturally anyway, but if I was partying and a friend wanted to go bot, then I'd give it up and take top. So Renekton is fun to mess around with. I'm not sure, but I always wreck a Renekton with my Vayne. My Vayne is pretty decent, too. I'd recommend that.. at least try it or something.
Eh, I'm generally really bad at ranged champions. I played Vayne a few times when she was free and didn't overly like her. What makes Vayne good against him?
I'm more so looking for tips to fight him (so I don't lose lane to him EVERY time I need to face him), not as much counter picks.

I can't reliably fight him with any of my top laners except Garen (and even then it's a coin flip), and I have several teams that don't like Garens because of lack of team fight ability. I never win lane against one. My main top laners are Gangplank, Irelia and Malphite, sometimes Wukong.

A friend of mine told me to play Vayne up against a Renekton once and I just kept doing ever since. It's just the generic 'tank vs vayne vayne win l0l' bullshit, honestly. But I play passive until level 6 then go ahead and be a little more aggressive, depending on which side I play on and the team's jungler. It doesn't really take any type of skill, you just have to be smart about farming and staying consistent. I'd just be a little careful if the Renekton was going straight damage (which I doubt would happen), because you don't wanna stay pushed up to tower. You need the advantage to condemn, that's pretty much the way to initiate anything with a Renekton.

Garen is a hard counter to him but he falls off even harder in lategame compared to Renekton so it's not the best pick. To straight up counter him early game you need range or some way to punish his aggression. Basically, pick Ryze, Elise, or Vayne but generally it's a bad idea to pick an earlygame counter to him because they're bad for even worse reasons. Picking Ryze can be bad if your jungler/support don't build tanky. Elise top is worse than jungle and Vayne top dies to jungle ganks easily and if you make a small mistake and get stunned by him you instalose lane.

Best way to deal with him is just play a meta toplaner like shyvana, jax, trundle or irelia/jayce if you play it well but they're riskier. Learn to predict his aggression. If his fury bar is red, he is going to initiate a trade on you so get ready to cc and if he uses both his dashes to chase you then punish him for it. Also get good at last hitting under tower, if you can't do this then you will lose lane to him 100% unless he's bad.

Btw picking Vayne top is a bad idea in general because the enemy jungler is going to camp you and you will die to ganks without flash 99 times out of 100 unless you are doublelift.

I tend to play Jayce against Renekton. You may not have the sustain you have, but you harass nicely while in ranged mode and you have 2 escapes. Whenever he just comes up to you to stun, just go into melee mode and knock him away and then harass him from a distance in ranged mode with your Hyper Charge (W ability). However people do say that Jayce gets countered by Renekton, but I don't think it's true.
If you can't play Jayce, then take Jax, just farm into late game and be a carrying monster.
