"This score doesn't look right" Thread

Oh wow I actually saw my name somewhere here lol.
Mittenz, the reason for this is because of the insane number of big notes. You are missing a lot of points by hitting all of them as singles. Also, most of *keysmash name*'s 100s are on the early part, but he hits almost all the big notes as doubles. If only I could count how many big notes there were, I could calculate the exact amount of points lost. See the enormous difference in our scores? The difference between me and *keysmash* is 40k because of the accuracy, while yours and mine are 80k points apart even with almost the same acc. because of you lacking points in big notes. For an easier comparison, each big note you hit as a single note can be equivalent to 100ing that note. (but I must agree that *keysmash* does not deserve to be in top 10 :\ I'm almost tempted to go back to Taiko rankings just to lessen the number of people that are abusing their free time to get through the ranks.)

Also, moving on to the next matter, I could somehow tell that replays on Taiko are still a bit faulty (not sure why though), as I've seen some of my replays go LKSJDGNOEg too even if I FCed the song. I can't remember which, though... I just really know that there are some replays that are screwed. Because I really don't believe that NatsumeRin is doing it illegally.

Not really a score in particular but I had to notice this guy since he just passed me in rankings out of nowhere: http://osu.ppy.sh/u/161009

Apparently he just got +50 rank within the past day or so since the green up arrow has a 50 next to it, at this amount of score +50 in a day is pretty hard, though not impossible I guess.

I've been at my current rank for a while now so I know pretty much everyone who's on the second page of rankings and I've never seen this guy at all before, he definitely came out of nowhere.

What strikes me more is his 3800 playcount and he's in the top 100? Looks a lot like a multi to me...

On #1 on [Insane] it says S Rank with H + FL. Nearly the end I saw him miss in the replay though but it Osu! doesn't show any misses on the leaderboard. I watched the replay two times but I still clearly saw him miss.

I'm not sure about some of these older songs...

http://osu.ppy.sh/s/31 Scores #1 and #3 are from old players using no mods (and no replays available either), while newer scores with mods can't beat those scores. I'm assuming they're scores from the old spinner algorithm that were never cleared =x

EDIT: Yeah, a lot of old songs still have older scores with the old algorithms. I thought that they were deleted before, but oh well.

Seems like the map or scoring algorithm was changed and those scores weren't deleted.

Since we're on the topic of old maps, I guess I'll add these:

That score is not suspicious in the least. In osu! (unlike taiko) combo count matters more than most.

What makes you think that? I don't think I've seen a replay without the aforementioned "bug" from this guy. It's strange that it only seems to affect certain people, but yeah the taiko replays you mentioned are bugged.

youngdow is NOT suspicious in any way -- I've seen him play in person and he's one of the few Taikogods to exist in the entire world. osu!Taiko is no exception; it's just that some of the Taiko replays get screwed up (dunno why) and eventually shows misses.

Nice try, but the playcount does not increase until a certain amount of the way into the song. Meaning if you just hit the first few notes, and retry, it does not count as a play.

19k plays for 1 week is fucking ridiculous. I've been playing this game for like 16 months now, and i don't even have 15k plays yet.

Few hits + retry = increase playcount. I did like this many many times. About 5 seconds to each play. Hour by hour. If you have free time, you may increase your playcount like me, but it's foolish. I stop this crap because my eyes and right hand paining. I'm 13 years old, i'm fuckin' idiot. :cry:

Of cource i played with double-time mod for save time. And push skip-button. And i tried once again with stopwatch and result 7 seconds.

I'm just computer games nerd. My record is more than 36 hours of playing in Lineage without sleep and food. I didn't use bot. I don't even know where is it take. And what for?

I just noticed that this guy "Detrude-Loli" (http://osu.ppy.sh/u/204018) made an impossible score in this song " http://osu.ppy.sh/b/35124 ". All the others do a smaller score with all mods but he does it with no mods at all and just his spins are crazy, constant 477 spins. i dont think that it is possible for a human. Would be nice if someone would delete his score ^^

If you play taiko mode with both keyboard and mouse, replay shows you missed some note although you didn't.

It is replay bug ^^.

Can you be more specific about your input method?

Shulin, the bug only works with more complex rolls, not with 1/2 or 1/3 rolls.
Most of the time when you will see it is on 1/4 1/6(lol) and 1/8 (D:<) Rolls.

What map did you try the mouse on?
I know for a fact I have used mouse before and this bug always happens.

i am not sure if i can post it here. everyone post the replay of a score "doesn't look right". my score in the replay is lower by 400k points and in the replay there is an error because it doesn't show the last combo. ok sorry if i post in the wrong place again i dont know where other

In this map, Rabbit Joint - Legend of Zelda (http://osu.ppy.sh/s/125) easy difficulty:

Top 1, SkyStriker, got only 42k in the end.
This map has 1 spinner, he got only 1000 point.
How come he get 66772 points in scoreboard?
1 100, 1 beat, 1 50.

I played it with Hardrock and Flashlight, but I can only get 52176 with max combo 72.
I got 3000 in spinner. I got 1 100, 1 beat. but still can't get no1.

Me too, I think I know how he did that. This cannot be done first hand. As you can see in the replay. The 2nd spinner circle froze about halfway. In other replay's it doesn't. It's a score that even Auto without any mods on can't beat.

If you play taiko mode with both keyboard and mouse, replay shows you missed some note although you didn't.

It is replay bug ^^.

Maybe, Replay bug already was fixed. (Shulin already check it.)

But some replays show you some miss before bug wasn't fixed.

Fist Place score on Taiko Mod.

First off I SSed with Hardrock, and this player got 3x 100 without mods.

Also watch his replay all of his hits sound offbeat as if there would be plenty more 100's, and he hit the slidders all on one side of the drum! O_o I dunno if he was just hitting the same key with 2 fingers but that's highly unlikely. He also hits the ending spinner with one side of the drum. O_o....

easy first place is obviously not right, also osu says that there were no misses but downloading replay shows that there was one.

If you miss a part of a slider, it doesnt count as a miss.
That's why combos are different

You'll still get a 100 if you miss the end of a slider thus you won't get an SS, but on that list it's shown that they've SSed it. I'm guessing they are old scores?

Some suinagi's scores... I don't know if the replays are broken or what, but I've seen 3 replays and it happens the same thing, so I'm pretty sure this is hacking or something like that... :/

Just more mouse plays, thank god peppy ridded of the mouse glitch.
