it must be a problem with patch because my few friends have the same issue after last patch. I checked all security on my computer so it's not a problem from my side. Fix this

yes i'm having the same problem and i'm from Trinidad and Tobago which is located in the Caribbean i'm not sure if the time zone has anything to do but it has been so for the last 4 days happened when i updated Osu!. I have never had to open ports for my Osu before an i don't have a blacklist as well as use Vista and i normally run Osu! in administrator. so the main reason has to be the patch that was recently out me an my friends who play osu in Trinidad have the same problem i hope you can resolve to problem asap. One other thing the score is sumbitted but my overall rank doesnt decrease or increase but everything does, my PP is unaffected by this

I know now How we get the Bancho gone. We must first Delete Osu all of your Computer, And then Try dowload Osu again and you got it. you can playing again. Goodluck

Now, before the public release of osu!mania, everything went fine. But now, I keep timing out. I am sure that it is not my connection since I can connect to everything just fine. I can talk to everybody via IRC but not via osu! ingame, since I keep timing out.

I had the login problem two months back when osu! was getting constant updates, one day my account just went disconnected, and when i tried to login, "Connection Failed, retrying in 30 seconds" I get that every time.
Note:
-I was able to update
I did the following before,
-Run as Administrator
-Logout and Login again
-Uninstall and reinstall latest ver.
I used to play osu! daily because i love it so much since i started playing last year, but I thought the server was under constant maintenance that i put off osu! for like months now, i'd really like to be back on track.

its harder...
at times it is able 2 go multi during d afternoon-evening but disconnects after a while... D:

Since last update, connecting to osu! seems ridiculous. It randomly logs me out and says "Connection failed, press Shift+F1 for status" while it's okay for everyone else. My connection is fine and this has never happened since last update.
I don't think I've been able to connect for about a week. I've recently installed ZoneAlarm and figured it was that and would fix it later. Don't think it's at fault, everything is fully allowed and I'm pretty sure I've connected to Bancho briefly.
On Vista+, try turning down UAC to a lower setting, running in XP SP2 compatability mode, or allowing osu! to run as administrator.Mind = Blown.

Hello, I've tried everything that was recommended on the first post but it is still not working. It keeps saying that I am using an old version of Osu! and I need to update, but I've already updated. I even reset my computer to see if that was the problem, it didn't work.
In some chinese universities it's impossible for us to visit foreign websites unless we use proxy or ipv6 connection.
but osu doesn't support either of them.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with connectivity, or if it is just a bug, but whenever I'm in multiplayer, all of the names listed in the match are all displayed as "Loading..." so naturally you'd think the names would show up after awhile-- but it just stays as "Loading..." for the whole time i'm playing for everyone in the match (for the displayed names before and during the match) except for myself, and sometimes a few other random people. Although their names do show up in the chat when people talk.
Not sure if this is even a relevant problem but it kinda bugs me, so if anyone has advice that would be awesome

I've had connectivity problems non-stop on this computer for the past two weeks. I've tried everything from the OP, and none of it worked. I've tried running osu in administrator mode, windows XP compatibility mode, uninstalling and reinstalling, and even turning off my firewall while osu was running. None of it worked, as I still get the "Connection failed. Retrying in 30 seconds..." message. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what it could be. I'm not an expert at networking. Your best bet is to ignore this thread, and post in a separate thread. The announcement threads tend to get ignored.
However try this though. If you still can't connect after disabling all your anti viruses and firewalls, and peer blocking programs, then it's most likely a setting with your router that is not allowing the connection or its a problem with your ISP.

Since last night I'm having problems while connecting to the Test Build. However, I can connect to the Public Build without any problem. No idea why... I've tried to restart my PC and the router without any positive result.

Anyhow after a few retries it never made an update.

A pop out came asking if I allowed something to access something.
I used tune up on my computer and afterwards It didn't show up. Well yeah uh..
Anyway I tried to connect to bancho and once again, It didn't connect I need help.

If it is the datacentre, I don't think there's much anyone can do. If it's not, then peppy seems to be asleep and can't fix it at the moment. Either way, it looks like osu! will be down for a while...

Additional info on my end: Sometimes my pc lags and when that happens, OSU connects to the interwebz. and when I finish a song, it doesn't send the score!
I've done a lot. Did what this thread says too. Firewall, moved osu to various places, still not working. >.<

I'm having trouble wih Bancho today. I get disconnected every 20 seconds or so. It manages to connect but just cannot stay connected. It was working very well with the exact same config yesterday (same laptop/internet). I don't think it's an issue caused by my internet connexion, because everything else ir running smoothly.

EDIT: If it helps, I can't access stat.ppy.sh. It just returns a 502 Bad Web Gateway. I can also log in to my web account(obviously). I also forwarded 13381 and 13382 in my router. It's the same as before though, still stuck at connecting at the log in page.
I also reinstalled Osu!.
Please look into this. It's been months since I reported it. I get the feeling of being ignored...
I don't know how much this is going to help but it's worth a try anyway...
Problem is, that darn Connecting phase of the Log-in.
Can't anybody help? I tried everything but slamming my laptop on the floor.

I am also having problems connecting. I'm using a mobile connection, because i move alot, but it has worked before too, so why not now? This has been happening for like a week or two. Tried opening ports.
it says my bancho or whatever is too old, i mean, what? i have no idea of what that means and i have no idea of what to do...
Your client is probably way out of date. Run osume.exe and it should update you to the latest version.
Can you log-in on the game before this problem happen?makipogz wrote:

If not, try to allow osu! in your firewall settings.
