Those were mechanics introduced into two's first mafia game but were changed before the game started. Interestingly enough, you were involved in the discussion.

viewtopic.php?p=1330260#p1330260 is where animask is solidified at 2 votes and never falls below that. At that point in time, animask is second on the lynch list - viewtopic.php?p=1330461#p1330461

Later, sync brings ekaru up to 3 votes but then unvotes, then animask unvotes ekaru and seals his own fate by bringing himself to the top of the lynch list. Furthermore, Nohitter drops to 1 vote viewtopic.php?p=1333209#p1333209 when mashley votes for newbie instead. When animask switches to nohitter and puts him at 2 votes, animask is still first to be lynched because he reached 2 votes before nohitter did.

Also, there's an example of how tied votes works in this game in the first post!

Though thanks for reminding me where that discussion took place. It seems I got the original mechanic stuck in my head.

I understand that the voting was very odd last night. They could have really just focused someone so animask won't get lynched. However, one post animask has made gave me a pretty bad impression.

Seriously I can't even defend myself against this... My day one vote looked scummy out of pure coincidence, and if people are so convinced that I'm scum there's nothing I can do. My second vote shows as anonymous and is cast through PM, which is weird since as I understand it's usually just cast in the thread through 'vote 2:' or whatever... I dunno about that though.

Well proving a double voter isn't hard I guess.

Argh, the problem with double voters are that they can easily be a vote stealer. We could try to tie the vote up until N-1 with someone majority and make Mashley to hammer to see if the vote was stolen was double voted.

Well, if you're a double voter then vote for someone twice and we'll see it as anonymous on the votecount. That seems pretty easy to test.

We can prove his claim, but we can't prove that he's town.


As a purely role-based look:

Anonymous doublevoter benefits scum more than town. (Is better as a scum role)

Open doublevoter benefits town more than scum. (Is better as a town role)


Now, with that being said we've had tons of roles in recent games that would generally be thought of as scum-aligned that aren't. I'm not sure that his claim being true or not should change anything about how scummy he is.

Yeah, even if he is telling the truth there's nothing about the role that really clears him. Worse case scenario we mislynch a scummy town doublevoter, which as far as aux roles go, is one of the safer ones to lose.

Any objections to a hammer?

I don't think Ekaru is mafia simply because it seems ridiculous to allow animask to be lynched that easily d1.

I'm honestly even more surprised that no one died.

I'm fine with a DxS lynch and maybe a Sync lynch. Really not convinced on an Ekaru lynch.

Echo, justifying possible town lynch (under the guise of 'safe'), fishing for hammer confirmation. To a lesser degree a vote on Mashley in rvs (distancing anyone?).

I've seen him lurking before and he still hasn't posted in like forever.

Other than that, yeah, I'm suspicious of 0_o simply for coming out of nowhere and then going, "Yeah, he's pretty much the best choice to lynch today. Any objections to hammering him?" Why ask to hammer in that case? The only reason to ask is if you're consciously trying to come off as a cautious townie. If you were town then you'd just go for the hammer because, as he just said, there was pretty much nothing to lose. He *knew* that, but asked anyway... Probably because, again, he wanted to come off as pro-town.

Ekaru has a point with 0_o but it's something I am not that confident on.

By the way since I've been leading like crazy odds are I'm dying tonight or tomorrow. Town Oracle. Each night I get to ask questions about the setup.
First night I checked the amount of scum, there are four mafia total.
Second I asked if the mafia has any investigative roles, I got a no. There's no scum rolecop so if there's a town one and he can confirm someone else's role then THEY ARE TOWN, NO DOUBT.
I'll check night three to see if there are any protectives around so a cop can claim unless anyone else has a better idea.

Yeah. I only got the modem last night...

I'm willing to believe DxS is town if LS confirms the motivation. Sync v. Ekaru, Sync would be the better lynch.

I want to ask the people who want DxS lynched as the what the actual reason is...because I don't think I've seen one reason about him yet at all.

Wow, that was so convincing. Cause saying what I did at night and continuously yelling I am Town makes me scum. I guess if you want to say anything, D1 and the beginning of D2 is really the only time he did anything. An initial vote on Newbie with apparently "no strong arguments, just who do you want to keep D1" then votes him beginning D2 straight off the bat because it seems to be "He didn't vote for/ignored Newbie."

I'm okay with a 0_o and a bmin lynch, just saying.

Well motivator isn't per se town, 0_o can account for that. It does however confirm his role and giving him targets to motivate or else he gets caught in the act will also keep scum motivator busy

DxS's motivation will take place on me next night. So I technically couldn't confirm it, if it weren't for the fact that me and DxS are Masons and I saw his action. (The confirmed to each other type, I PMed Salvage about this.)

I don't think motivating me was a great idea though.

I'm still up for a lurker lynch, because of how inactive the mafia side was even we had two mafia lynches. We even had a no NK situation and since Salvage is choosing the least beneficial, I'm guessing Salvage just directed the shot to someone with protections and such. I'm basing this on a claim that mafia has lost their interest for this game.

Reason I thought DxS could be mafia was because of his meta. Most cases, he will simply ask for a lynch whenever he was being suspected. Well, he pulled it again and that pretty much makes my reasoning back to zero, so I'm not up for DxS lynch anymore.

I just didn't wanna kill the discussion by hammering. If I had hammered, one could just as easily say that I wanted to stifle discussion since he was pretty much dead anyway.

And really, distancing via RVS vote? That's kinda grasping.

Anyway, I agree with bmin. Having players who lurked the whole game at LyLo sucks, and I think it would be best to cut them off while we still have the breathing room to do so.

Yeah, like I said earlier I know it's hypocritical, but I still think it holds.

While I really am trying to get back into it, my heart just hasn't been in it lately so I honestly can't tell you for sure whether my activity levels will increase or not. If you do feel like I'm dead weight then it very well may be for the best to you to lynch me now instead of risking me being the unknown factor at LyLo.

I saw this when night came but then I forgot when I reached home

Mash flipped Janitor, but there was a 2nd anon vote on foul at the end of D2, so mafia probably has a role that modifies votes and Mash borrowed his role to fakeclaim with.

I might be stretching it far here but if that's the case, then the mafia wouldn't have been inactive at that point unlike what bmin assumed since someone had to back Mash up on the doublevoter thing.

I had nothing much to say and I was planning on voting at the end of the day (I still believe we have a day left or something like that).

I'm responding to your accusations, because I don't believe they are accurate. I have two options, decline your bad reasoning to prevent the lynch, or just get lynched. Funny thing is that if I don't respond, I would be a bad townie who just gave the mafia a mislynch. If I do respond, it will become a scumtell. What a great outcome.

I'm good with 0_o lynch, or any other lurker lynches. I'll cast my vote at the end of the D3.

SAY G'DAY TO BMIN on day one, right after or right in RVS, you don't even need context for this one. bmin asking if RVS is over means that he doesn't want to drag out of RVS too fast OR stay into it too long to rouse suspicion. By making it a question he's putting it up to someone else he can ride to victory later on.

Well we now see that Sync is Wojjan's follower, huh?
THIS LITTLE DITTY is one of the most classic scumplays I have ever seen: you put an argument out there and then don't do anything with it and leave it as an option so when a bw starts you can just throw that on the pile and look like you're not sheeping. Sync saying that Ekaru has me on him meant that with someone taking Ekaru's side the lynch or kill on him would've been more valuable, but bmin makes it sound as if Sync sheeped because "it's wojjan of course it's good" which when you check the context is totally not the case

This post is the only reason I switched to 0_o. I just doubt bmin calling animask and mashley out on bussing is bussing of his own, but I definitely wouldn't put that past him because calling mash out would earn him major town cred, plus he has another member beside the two backing him up.

I'm up Lilac just purely for his inactiveness.

It takes bmin three different posts to say that all the people he is intent on lynching haven't contributed. ALL THREE lurk a lot, there is not a single even remotely active player in the list. Thing is this is on day three. Why doesn't he address anything that happened other than the lynches of last night? He is superduper lurking himself to the point that he only drops by when I remind him of my vote on him, so why is he voting lurkers too?

bmin is picking apart the play from the scumteam but absolutely ignoring any dispute in town beside that, either because he just doesn't care since he'll have to kill them all the same or because he so desperately doesn't want to pick sides because in the event that a lynch goes through on a townie he'll lose face.

Alright sorry guys, I forgot about this option until now, but I'm going to ask for a replacement at the end of the day. I thought I could get back into it this game but honestly I just can't see it panning out.

I'm postponing it both to give Dafydd time to catch up, and to not waste his time if I'm being lynched.

Fixed. tbh I posted that because addressing that as part of the reasoning makes me quite sad. foulcoon because he killed two mafias. Ekaru because of the D1 incident (got animask lynched with his 2nd vote gj). You because you lynched Mashley and we didn't had much votes (you are semi-confirmed AKA in better position then others).

..why would I roleclaim just because I wanted to be replaced?

I'm not making a grand effort to save myself because like I said, lynching a player who isn't going to be active (like myself) isn't a bad idea since it eliminates the "wildcards" that you don't want at LyLo. And again, my interest has faded enough that it doesn't really matter to me if I'm lynched or not.

I didn't believe your argument on NoHItter. Actually, I didn't really suspect anyone at D1 and that's why I didn't vote (more like missed the chance, but you know what I mean)
