Write a blog?

Its not even that difficult to put them in - you select a note, press a button and voila! your map is better.
Right. You say hit sounds can ruin a map, then say selecting a note then pressing a button makes it better? Most of the time I'd say this techinque worsens maps...
At Mogsy's first few posts, right/wrong, good/bad, etc. is subjective. Like time, it's all relative.
I mostly agree with this post:

Guys don't argue with the BATs they are always right.
I lol'd. SFG said what I was going to say already:

There's a revert-to-saved option for a reason guys.
Sadly I need to manually back up when testing it.

In other news, that guy on the first page who said he didn't want things to get personal after blatantly insulting Mogsworth and his profession who I forgot the name of because he was being a gigantic dick made me laugh. Laughing almost as much as that run-on sentence right there. If you didn't want things to get personal, don't attack his career choice.
I don't believe he did. All I see is Mogsy using his profession as a reason to be heard more, and that other guy says "that shouldn't make a difference," really.
LuigiHann has a good idea here:
viewtopic.php?p=149379#p149379On Whistles, I am glad I use custom hitsounds for my skin. They are much nicer than the default, save Normal Clap, which needs work...

Er, no, otherwise the bubble wouldn't be popped by the mod, it'd be popped by the user updating the map. If a mod pops your bubble due to something you think is negligible, get a sympathetic mod to bubble again.
If a BAT feels improper hitsounds warrant a bubble pop (i.e. prevent it from being ranked), they can pop the bubble.

If mappers just disregard the post because they think hitsounds don't matter, and call the modder an asshole or something similar. Then I call them assholes as well.
Yup, unless they seriously feel offended. I've been offended by some mods, but didn't disregard it. Of course, I spoke with the modder to get them to stop modding like that. </lack-of-details>

if someone sees something that could largely improve a map or something that is largely detracting from a map i believe that it is, in effect, their DUTY to point that out to the mapper.
I have to disagree it is a duty. Maybe it seems so to you, but it isn't to me.
SFG, you seem to be communicating yourself well. It's just that some people can't listen too well. =]
0_o, laptop speakers suck. I tried modding on my laptop once and couldn't. Poor speakers don't just ruin hitsounds, though; they ruin the music as well. If you don't have a
decent setup even, you shouldn't be modding by sound.
