Sup dude :D Well fck my pc crashed while modding so gonna try to put everything back I can remember

Hitsounding
  • gonna need atleast some hitsounding in order to get it ranked man :D, since theres a constant loud drum I'd mainly use additions in this case
  • addtions soft finish examples: 01:11:990 (1) - and 01:15:418 (1) - these are the louder cymbals right at the start of a new section in the song so deserve a hitsound here
  • a form of claps: 01:16:275 (1,2) - 01:19:704 (1,3) - hear how the head of the sliders and the following note have these drum beats that stand out? You could add a clap (N/S/D whichever fits best for you) to make them even further stand out also stuff like 02:11:418 (1,2) - reaalllly need a clap/hitsound with how they are completely different then the rest of the segment
  • for whistles it can be trickier, for this song you could add some soft whistles on the head of 04:06:847 (2) - and 04:10:275 (2) - for example or on the piano parts of the song like 04:22:561 (3,5) -

  • while playing I noticed mainly a lot of NC problems and emphazing problems and some snap problems so hope gonna focus on these for now and minor aesthetics stuff ofc bc why not :D
  • 01:12:561 (3,3) - stack these used for the same blanket fixed
  • 01:21:132 (3,4,5,6,7,8,1) - (8) deseres more spacing here, its still building up to (1) in the song so I don't know why you decided to drop the sv here yup
  • 01:22:275 (1,2,3,4) - this kind of patterns are really hard to read and doesn't represent the pause in the song very well imo since you make it seem like its 1-2-3-4 while you can hear its more of 1-1-2-3 in the song, why not try stacking 2 under 1 and make the jump on 3 and 4, this way you create a pause aswell and its follows the music more I didn't stack those, but i moved things around, it's better now
  • 01:40:275 - why not start a return slider here and delete 01:40:418 (1) - I would'nt ignore the drums here since there isnt a guitar to conceal the sound here aswell and with the return you also follow that snare sound that's actually not a bad idea
  • 01:47:704 (6,1) - emphasizes is on 1 in the song so reduce the ds of 6 a bit so 1 is the biggest ds here i didn't do quite what you said, but i changed it and it looks better now, did some blankets aswell
  • 01:47:990 (1,2,3,4) - basicly same as 01:22:275 (1,2,3,4) the stacking of 2-3 and then the jump to 4 is kinda weird since they are 3 identical sounds so would make 01:48:275 (2,3,4) - the same ds here with 1 standing out like the song suggests i kinda liked my pattern, but you're making a good point. I stacked them, i think it fits
  • 01:54:561 (7,3) - stack these since used for same blanket fixed
  • 01:57:990 (9) - move a bit to the left for the pathing thingy done
  • 02:08:632 (1) - end at 02:11:132 - or make that a circle there, bit weird to stop on the first of the woodwork instrument and ignore the second i thought about that, but i intentionaly ingored this, i wanted a small break with that spinner and to build up the next part. I don't know if it's right, but it's fine for me, won't change
  • 02:14:275 (5) - and 02:18:275 (5) - NC for the change in DS between streams fixed
  • 02:19:132 (2,4,3) - might aswell stack 3 under them aswell very minor, good eye :P fixed

  • 05:05:132 - you can move the timing point to this point aswel or just delete it tbh, since it gets back to normal at 05:05:989 (1) - and you still follow that zoom thing for the 3 previous notes that is on point (granted the main instrument here is a few ms off but since tehse are 1/1 it should be fine), since it gets noticable that frm 05:05:989 (1) - its a bit off i'm gonna leave it for now cuz my map will once again have issues with placing those notes correctly in time, it sounds good for me, i'll think about this later :P
  • 05:13:683 (3) - change to a 1/2 slider + circle instead if you wanna change things up a bit to make the piano sound clickable fixed, i guess XD
  • 05:34:254 (1,2,3,4,1) - some more unnesserary green timing points here yes

General


  • this song is in 3/4 time signature! (except for the intro, you can leave the first redline at 4/4)
  • re-snap your green lines!
  • check your blankets
  • get some custom samples, what you've hitsounded so far sounds pretty bad with default samples. also i recommend not using the samples most metal maps use cause those are pretty bad imo
  • i'd recommend not using drum as your main sample set even if you are using full custom samples because a few skins, including the default, use different sample types (whistle -> cymbal; finish and clap -> toms) for the drum set which makes maps that use drum samples sometimes sound terrible when not using the custom samples
  • use soft hitsounds for the calm parts
  • actually hitsound this thing
  • if you wanna be extra fancy, get some more combo colors and colorhax to match the storyboard


Future Month




solid map overall, aesthetics and hitsounding need quite a bit of work but otherwise, rhythm choices make sense and are consistent and spacing also makes sense for the most part

  • 01:16:275 (1) - sliders like this look pretty awkward, i'd recommend making these 'wiggles' only at the start of sliders if they're this harsh alright, ill do sth about it
  • 01:48:275 (2,3,4) - 01:49:132 (2,3,4) - either stack these or make them jumps like previously, using about the same spacing as streams is just going to make them awkward to read this was mentioned by others, it were jumps at first, then changed to stacks but decided to go with those. I might have some ideas tho.
  • 02:41:132 (1) - 02:42:847 (1) - 02:44:561 (1) - 02:46:275 (1) - etc. - try to make sliders as long as these a bit fancier, you can use things like making parts of the slider blankets and then going off in another direction, wave sliders, multiple linear segments, etc. i might do sth about it
  • 02:52:847 (1,2) - 02:56:275 (1) - 02:59:704 (1,2) - 03:03:132 (1) - i'd make these all the same, either all jumps or all sliders i would not, it adds some variety also when there are circles, the notes are louder than when there are sliders
  • 03:57:847 (8) - make this a wiggly slider instead of a repeat slider changed
  • 04:38:561 (1) - 04:42:275 (1) - same as my first point changed
  • 04:56:561 - add a circle here no, i added circles only for that 3 same notes, the note you're suggesting is not the part of those 3 notes, it's different
  • 06:41:112 (1,2) - make the spacing bigger here for reading fixed
  • add a spinner at the end maybe, the end seems a bit abrupt since there's a long strong vocal note on 07:25:683 (3) - that just feels cut off this way added

Hi, even if this map is dead, I was going to map it on Taiko and noticed that the timing is slightly wrong (just in case you decide to revive it)

I just took a small break cuz holidays and stuff. I was going to work on hitsounds after my return. Thanks for noticing my map, and for comment :D. It's still my flag map and i'm going for rank. Amazing song, love Whispered.
Firstly, this seems kinda overmapped, so maybe nerf some jumps. However the streams are shaped perfectly (: Here are just a few suggestions, feel free to leave some things be if you don't agree with me!

01:28:420 (2,3) - Blanket these maybe?
01:48:419 (3,4) - Fix the blanket on this, the slider is way to shallow (add more curve)
01:49:276 (3,4) - ^
02:54:562 (1,1,1,1,1) - Curve these sliders to fit better with the streams
03:20:991 (2,3) - Blanket?
03:21:848 (2,4) - Bad overlap IMO

TBH the streams are awesome but the flow issues overall are holding the map back, try modding and mapping more and eventually you will understand how to use it correctly and learn to spot these issues by yourself
