Standard/Mania Weekend End of Autumn Tournament

The Standard/Mania Weekend End of Autumn Tournament (SWEAT) was an osu! and osu!mania BYOC LAN tournament hosted by osu! Riverside. It took place during Highlander Con Fall 2019, a gaming festival hosted by Highlander Gaming at the University of California, Riverside (UCR).

Event details

SWEAT was a LAN event, meaning it happened in-person. osu! Riverside had a room reserved for the duration of Highlander Con, and it was a friendly place for all rhythm gamers to hang out, in addition to hosting this tournament.

Seeding maps were played in a multiplayer match. After seeding was played, MintyYumi decided to drop the tournament and J_8579 joined late as the 12th seed.

Ruleset

Stages

This is a double-elimination tournament.

osu!

  • Seeding: Players will play through all the maps in the mappool and will given a certain amount of points depending on how well they place against other players.
  • Round of 16: Best of 5
  • Quarterfinals: Best of 5
  • Semifinals: Best of 7
  • Finals: Best of 9
  • Grand finals: Best of 11

osu!mania 4K

  • Seeding: Players will be seeded by rank. There will be no group stage.
  • Semifinals: Best of 7
  • Finals: Best of 9
  • Grand finals: Best of 11

Matches

  • Scores will be in ScoreV2.
  • Matches will be Head to Head.
  • Failed scores will count.
  • Invites will be sent out 5-10 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • There will be no warmup maps.
  • !roll will determine picks and ban order. The higher roll will pick the the first map in map pool. The lower roll will choose to ban first.
  • Bans will be declared before picks.
  • Bans and picks will be in alternating order.
  • In the case where both players are one game off from a win, a predetermined tiebreaker map will be played.
  • In the Grand Finals, the participant from the winner's bracket will have a 1-point advantage.

osu!

  • Players have one ban in all bracket stages.
  • Players may pick Hidden or Flashlight for a DoubleTime map.
  • In a FreeMod pick, both players must use HardRock, Hidden, Flashlight, Easy, or a combination of any.
  • Players are allowed to use mods on Tiebreaker but is not required.
  • Players cannot pick the same mod twice in a row.

osu!mania 4K

  • In stages prior to Grand Finals, players have one ban. In Grand Finals, they have two.
  • All charts will include FreeMod; no mods are required, but mods may be added if the player would like. Allowed mods are Hidden, FadeIn, Flashlight, and Mirror.
  • If all players agree, Grand Finals may use the same mappool as Finals. In that case, players will only have one ban.
