Slow parts were really weird to play, felt like some of the stuff were either mapped to sounds that are very hard to hear or mapped to nothing at all. Slow AR added up to the confusion for me and made it an unpleasant experience. Kiai parts were ok I guess.
Overall felt like it was trying too hard to be "unique" and ended up not making much sense to the player at all.
well... definetely a weird one. if someone asked me to describe what playing a convert in another gamemode feels like i would link them to this map. but i guess thanks tho, i mean some people will enjoy it inevitably.
I actually see this as a good map none of the less, I think most of the people were too focused on rrtyui's collab map and made assumptions under that. I think it's a new breath of fresh air in the tech scene. Like to see more of these in the future!
I really don't understand this map, at the beginning I have to have my audio cranked up really high in order to even understand to what 00:24:531 (4) - and the likes are even mapped to, and it's even worse if you have hitsounds (especially if they are loud) and I struggle to see how any normal player should acc that without explicitly trying to acc that part. Overall I feel like this is a generic map trying to look like it's something special.
This map is a map, it does map things and does them in a way a map would normally do them. It's not the most interesting map i've ever played but it also isnt the worst overall i have no clear opinion on whether or not this map is a good map, or a bad map. It has clear aesthetics and after playing a bit of it, you know what to expect of the rest of it, some may consider that boring but others might just end up liking it a lot.
This oko is an oko, he does oko things and does them in a way an oko would normally do them. He's not the most oko oko i've ever seen but he also isnt the least i have no clear opinion on whether or not this oko is an oko, or not. He has clear oko and after looking at oko, you know what to oko of the rest of oko, some may consider that oko but others might just end up okoing.
This deetz is a deetz , he does deetz things and does them in a way an deetz would normally do them. He's not the most deetz deetz i've ever seen but he also isnt the least i have no clear opinion on whether or not this deetz is an deetz, or not. He has clear deetz and after looking at deetz , you know what to deetz of the rest of deetz, some may consider that deetz but others might just end up deetzing. Overall I rate it an deetz out of deetz
This map is good, and I think its nice to have ranked maps that more of the community can play, but god damn is this map plain and boring in comparison to rrytui's
ehh the two maps are both amazing in their own ways i think; while the other Reality Distortion mapset (rrtyui x Sing's) is focused heavily on the beauty of "hard tech" mapping, this mapset is basically trying to be a charming map of its own through a very different mapping style/mapping approach without being overly fixated in the tech aspect in the first place.
i know this mapset may not be as flashy as rrtyui x Sing's map tho but for me personally it's rather refreshing to see a well-designed map for a relatively complex song like this that doesn't rely up too much on super fast sv/spaced bursts/stuffs like that coming out every now and then c:
Rather disappointing... Too much reliance on russian elements and a lack of creative patterning or movements. Overall, I think it's just not a good style choice for the song too because russian mapping excels at emphasizing subtleties in the song through it's unique movement, angle choices, aesthetics. 00:46:531 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1) - is a brilliant btw. Wish you used ideas like this more tbh...
02:06:331 (7) - Really consider using stuff like this more often too, because 98% of the map is just linear/slightly-curved/wave/cornered(redtick) sliders (4 basic constructions) which end up causing the map to become very boring very quickly. It's less noticeable when the song is consistent, and less drastic, but like I said, this song is not subtle at all. Overall, perhaps consider injecting less russian elements depending on what song you want to work on, or more. Once you better realize what makes russian mapping so good, you can know when to optimize it, and when to consider incorporating a more varied approach. Good luck!
all your basically saying here is "ooga booga russian style bad"
genuinely dont understand why you get so worked up over this mapping style. the majority of your maps are the just same hexgrid patterns pasted onto differents songs anyway, so I dont really think you have a right to call out smth for having "a lack of creative patterning and movements." mappers are allowed to map whatever song they want in whatever style they want and when you make comments like this you just make yourself look like a clown. please stop trying to act like you are the authority on someone elses design choices when you dont map anything like them at all
I can't criticize maps I think have fundamental flaws? If you don't like a map, just don't play it. So if you don't like my comments, just close ur eyes XD.
relax broseph all he's saying is just implement russian style when the song calls for it which is subjective but that's his opinion and he's allowed to be vocal about it. You ain't the authority either so idk why you're out here telling him that he can't say that.
