General:


One small thing that is driving me crazy is the lowercase song title, PLEASE:

"Petit Milady - Seishun wa tabemmono desu"

In a nutshell, the map has a lot of blank spaces, yes, this is an easy difficulty, but a little bit of slider management here and there would make the map a lot more enjoyable to play.
Another thing to say is that, on top of the Blank spaces, there is inconsistency. This is unacceptable for Newbie-Oriented diffs, this confuses the crap out of them.

Example of inconsistency:

00:01:162 (1,2,3) - There are parts with no blank spaces
00:02:459 (3,1) - Blank Space
00:06:351 (1,2,1) - Parts that fill the 1/1 BSD Completely
00:08:945 (1,2) - Blank Space
00:10:242 (2,3,1) - Full 1/1

And basicly the rest of the map is filled with blank spaces.



What I Recommend you to do:

- Set the BSD to 1/1
- With the BSD set to 1/1, start using more beats to make the map sound/play better. (Still, there are some not so important beats that you should ignore, this is still an Easy diff after all)
- Easy difficulties need to be completely consistent (and boring), that means, the map must stay almost aways following the same note Rhythm. Don't be afraid to do this, actually, just do this.

- And finally remap. Or maybe not, the map aesthetic and distancing is good, just the note rhythm and consistency that is bad, you could just re-arrange some sliderd for the new notes, or if you want to remap, the music is only 30 seconds, so it wouldn't be such big hassle lol.



Note: Easy difficulties are NOT actually Boring for new players, they actually find this difficult, and when then finally pass it, they fill with hapiness, then start to move on to Normals, Hards, etc.
Easy difficulties are an essential thing to newcomers, and should not be despised, even if it's boring.

P.S: I'm not saying that anyone does this, I'm just stating that Low star difficulties are an essential thing both for the map and community!

i generally reworked some parts that you mentioned above, and i only placed spaces where i believed they should exist, such as at 00:19:324 (1,2,3) where the music seems to "pause" slightly.

Well, because people complain about ANYTHING, I made a new extended MP3 file. With a longer drain time (27 > 33) (Yes, there were complaints about 3 seconds being under the 30s M.)

Because there is now an inaudible joint, I'll time the multiple non-inherit sections that need to be done to make the timing "perfect".

So I need for you to hold on until I finish setting up everything.

Pan Paradise
Change the difficulty name to Pan Paradise.
  1. I suggest reducing the spacing in the entire section before the pre-kiai jumps 00:09:398 (2,3,4,5,6,7)
  2. Lower SV is nice to reflect the relative calmness in this section but the spacing is pretty much the same as the kiai. Would be nice if we could create a distinction between the two.
  3. It would make 00:09:398 (2,3,4,5,6,7) stand out a lot more too if we go from small spacing to gradually bigger kiai spacing.
00:02:421 (1) - This is one ugly looking slider (not symmetrical) Fix it.
00:07:615 (1) - Same as ^
00:14:588 (2,3) - CTRL + G these, that way we'll click on both vocal hits.
00:23:344 (1) - Same as ^
00:28:534 (1) - Same as ^
For the most part I am okay with the objects used in the kiai but I would maybe reduce the spacing during the calmer parts in the kiai for the same reasons above. Audibly there are moments where the song's intensity dies down a bit only to then spike up again but the equal large spacing for the entire kiai doesn't emphasize that as well as it could. Map is a bit messy though.

00:02:258 (3,4) - Doesn't flow well. Slider would play a lot better if it was above the 3. I'd like to see the slider be placed further away to match the intensity/spacing of 00:02:096 (2,3) but the biggest issue here I believe is that it's placed below the 3.
00:03:069 (1,2,3,4,5) - Reduce spacing, bit ridiculous here for non-kiai.
00:03:718 (5,6) - Same as ^ Consider placing the sliderhead somewhere like https://imgur.com/a/Gd57t (obviously don't keep the shape)
00:17:831 - Add circle.
00:18:966 (1) - Stack this under the previous circle. Can be misleading as it has same spacing as 1/2 rhythm like previous pattern.
For the kiai... maybe try reworking the pattern so we click something on downbeats instead of having sliderends on them? Same general thoughts as I mentioned in in the top diff mod. Map looks a bit messy as well.

Actually it was distanced like this, but because my diff was surpassing the last diff, Shadow tweaked some distances.

Hm, yeah, I can see your point and I actually agree with it, some tweaks are necessary. I was following the background while respecting vocals like ya said, but it ended up looking like a complete clusterfuck w/o meaning, I made some tweaks.

I made it like this to respect the vocal line too, it gets it's "clickability" from the vocal line, wich gives strength to the weak beat, but the reverse right there I'll make some changes, it really needs improvement.

• 00:14:750 (2,3,4) - The anti jump into comaratively large vertical jump down the screen is very uncomfortable, move 3 three and a half spaces to the right and 1 up one the grid.
• 00:29:831 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - and 00:32:101 (4,5) - The ending of the map is typically where you add the more difficult patterns, the big jump sections low spacing makes it feel like no challenge whatsoever, increasing spacing on both of these will make it's difficulty reflect the intensity of the song and the pp gains typically made at the ending. 00:30:155 (3) - and 00:30:966 (1) - also should be symmetrical to the jump pattern.

Bread Paradise Looks fine from a quick skim over.

Most of these are pretty good apart from the Shaxter diff's spacing being a nightmare for a new player to read. Good luck on shooting towards rank!

What you do with (6) is your stuff, but it could get the same DS as it is from (3) to (4). Something like THIS or maybe something like THIS. It would look and represent the music better.

00:19:452 (1)- This slider doesnt end on a note. I would use a 1/2 slider instead of a 3/4 slider. Especially because it is the only 3/4 slider you used in this map.

  1. In bread paradise I do not see a reason for such 7 hp tbh --> lower it down to 6 or 6.5 at least seems more reasonable imo (Although I don't pay much attention to 30s maps)
  2. Ok Also in Maxter Insane is also 7 hp and whilst Marianna's Insane is 6.2 - For the sake of consistency if you are not going to change above - at least change Maxter Insane to hp 6
  3. Maxter Insane od be better off as just 8
  4. Turn off Widescreen support on all difficulties

  2. 00:02:096 (2,3,4) - ok this is a bit weird --> I feel to say that you giving emphasis on (3) and I don't hear any strong beat (like the bell or the drum) whilst (2) you gave little emphasis and so onto 4 - You are giving more emphasis to the weak beat in the background here which doesn't truly describe what are you following here - like here 00:03:069 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - although I don't like the pattern design much - I do see more clearly what you are following than what you are before this
  3. 00:06:313 (8) - (Nazi) can you please move this up a little so wouldn't being touching the slider XD
  4. 00:16:696 (1) - eh not sure what you are trying to emphasis here - the vocals and the finish is much stronger on the white tick here 00:16:858 - (which is also a good starting place for a nc) but you have not make this clickable which I really felt it should be more than what is now - others time you didn't ignore the fact that the vocals or finish needed to be emphasize like here for an example 00:14:263 (1) - so I don't see how this could be any different as it just inconsistent to me

00:03:069 (4,5,6) - Comment: I understand that these notes are being matched up to the drums, but the drums are barely audible in the song. I actually had to retry this part a few times to get the rhythms down. You can keep these notes like this, but I would recommend matching them up to the chimes, especially considering that this is a normal difficulty. You don't have to follow this one, it's just something I felt while playtesting.

00:15:236 (3) - ^
00:26:263 (5,6) - Add claps to both sliders to fit previous hitsound style.
Overall, pretty solid difficulty. Good work.

00:17:020 - Comment: I feel like there's a hit circle missing here.
00:22:047 - Comment: I sort of feel like the map's general "speed", for lack of a better term, increases quite a bit here. When playtesting, I found myself getting behind on this part and not being able to adjust to the increase of the slider's speed. I might just be insane though. I am primarily referring to 00:22:534 (3,4,5,1,2) - .
Over all, this is a pretty solid mapset. I hope to see this ranked. Thanks.

  1. 00:07:615 (1) - Compare this to 00:02:421 (1) - spacing seems surprisingly large yet the song as kept the same intensity. ctrl+g 1 because I think it would make it more consistent.
  2. 00:09:398 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - I think having all of these claps at the same volume doesn't fit the slowly rising intensity. I suggest placing green lines at 00:09:398 - 00:09:723 - 00:10:047 - 40, 55, 70 volume respectively.
  3. 00:11:669 (1,2) - To me this looks like a bit difficult to play. The stream and 1 was following a clockwise direction, but it switches to counter-clockwise on 2 which is the weaker sound compared to 1. When you switch the direction of your circular flow on weak sounds it feels unnatural, so that's why I think it would play better if the pattern was arranged in a way that incorporates circular motion. https://puu.sh/yzC9q/6d5b1d79a6.jpg
  4. 00:14:263 (1,2) - Similar to above, I feel like the direction of flow should switch on stronger sounds to better compliment the music.

  1. 00:08:263 (2,3) - I think you should map the bell here as that is louder than the subtle beats mapped with 2-3. You mapped it at 00:08:750 (4) - so I think it would be more consistent and readable if it was mapped in the first point.
  2. 00:10:858 (1) - Because you used the same NC pattern for this note as done with the 1/2 rhythm at 00:09:723 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - this 2/1 gap might be misread as 1/2 distance. I think if you want to contrast this better you can create an antijump by stacking the notes like https://puu.sh/yzCYK/e10eb1c0fd.jpg in the pic I applied a .5x sv to the slider because I thought it fit the rising vibe and flowwed into the stream better.
  3. 00:22:047 - From here to 00:25:696 - You use a perfectly vertical / horizontal structure. There's actually a misalignment at 00:22:534 (3) - but the rest of the notes included in this time frame were perfectly horizontal or vertical, which I think is odd because the song hasn't changed much and we're used to looking at the diff from a certain angle. Rotating this section slightly I think would make these patterns look better and fit with the rest of the map.

Maxter's Insane

My general concerns with this diff are how it's patterns look. You incorporated linear and circular patterns which is great, but the way they fit together visually is important as well because you want clear patterns that can be read easily. If you'll let me point out some examples;

  1. 00:02:096 (2,3,4) - From 1-00:12:317 (3,4,1,2,3,4,5) - 4 your direction is counter-clockwise. 4 is a comparably strong note so it makes sense why you would switch the direction of that flow here. I think the problem is you went from circular to linear flow on 3-4 so it makes the pattern look random. I think if you arranged the slider in a way where you incorporate both linear and circular flow at the same time the map can play much better and will look more organized. https://puu.sh/yzDyg/ba6571bcfc.jpg
  2. 00:12:317 (3,4,1,2,3,4,5) - Here there is no circular motion. The way you go back and forth with the patterns on the strong beats at 00:12:804 (1,3) - makes sense, but then at 00:13:777 (5) - it doesn't switch directions. While the last note is playable, it is unexpected because you mapped it differently at 1 and 3. For this pattern I suggest rotating 5 so it switches direction on the strong beats so you establish a pattern to compliment the rhythm.
  3. 00:15:398 (5,6,7,8) - 5 goes up, but 6 is below. This contradicts the expected location of 6 because naturally players follow a circular and linear pattern. 7-8 the patterns play against what they imply. What I mean is 7 is counter-clockwise while 8 is clockwise. They cancel each other out, so it makes this pattern difficult to play. This is where you would want to incorporate circular and linear flow because if some parts play harder over others but they share the same intensity then the map plays inconsistently. That's why it's important to take into consideration how certain patterns play over others so you can guarantee consistency.

    Bottom line is you need to have consistency, or similarity in the way your patterns play so as to compliment the music. I highly suggest going through and checking to make sure your patterns follow a consistent pattern so as they don't break a player's expectation.

Light Insane

  1. 00:26:588 (3,4) - Considering how the distance from 2-3 looks similar to the distance of 4-5 yet they're on different snappings makes me think this would be difficult to read. 00:26:588 (3,4) - I suggest to either extend 3 to 3 reverses or shorten 4 to 2 reverses for consistency.

Shaxter's Advanced

  1. 00:16:534 (3) - I think having the slider end on a sound stronger than the one it starts on would play unnaturally as it takes more effort to click than to release, so I think it would make sense to compliment the song with that in mind.

Ataraxia's Easy

  1. 00:18:155 (2) - I think this is a snapping error. There's actually a misalignment at 00:22:534 (3) - but the rest of the notes included in this time frame were perfectly horizontal or vertical, which I think is odd because the song hasn't changed much and we're used to looking at the diff from a certain angle. Rotating this section slightly I think would make these patterns look better and fit with the rest of the map. I'm not going to change the entire map structure by not making symmetric sliders in certain areas

I'm not following the Bells in either of the two sequences
I pointed this out because the layers you mapped were a mixture of the bells and drums (00:07:128 (3,1) - point of reference) so ignoring the bell at 00:08:101 - and only focusing on those drums was unpredictable.

My second point, I get why you NCed the notes this way. I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. My point was when you use an NC pattern of 1,2,1,2,1,2 and then add 1 at 00:10:858 (1) - as if you were still mapping 1/2 rhythm, it could be misleading to play.

My final point, I think you misunderstood me here as well. I'm not asking you to change the entire map structure. I'm also not asking you to avoid symmetry. My issue here is when your structure is mapped on a tilted axis, but have one section on a perfectly straight axis looks out of place. I'm not suggesting to redo it, I'm suggesting rotate it slightly so it fits with the rest of the structure. The patterns would still remain the same.

It sounds more accurate at 00:18:317 (2) - if you want to contrast the 3/2 difference in the timeline you can stack the note under 1 and stack 00:19:452 (1) - under the previous note. If you decide to fix the snapping this way boost the stack leniency up to 8 so the notes don't perfectly overlap. Criteria doesn't like perfect overlaps hgwouls;sghn
