With choices and decisions come consequences~
Just continue focusing on making the map more fun instead of making the map more challenging and it will lead to a rank.
The whole point of modding is to improve a map; even if a map follows the rules that doesn't mean the quality is good enough for ranking (not necessarily the case here, but I'm just saying this because it was your main excuse for why it shouldn't have been unranked).

nothing could possibly justify how one is to fill an entire difficulty with a majority of pointless 1/4 streams and unfounded jumps. this is not difficulty - this is pure, unabated laziness. to rank this map in this state would be an affront to all the other hardworking mappers which place obvious effort into making their maps both fun and suitably difficult without resorting to such ridiculous methods.

you would be better off completely removing Platinum difficulty, to be perfectly honest. a two-page modpost would be barely scratching the sheer quantity of problems with this map. you have effectively made a TAG difficulty, and they are not allowed anymore.

until platinum is appropriately addressed (ergo, is either deleted or significantly changed to actually reflect the music it is mapped to), this map is not suitable for ranking. all the other difficulties are well-measured and beautifully mapped, why sully the set with one ridiculous difficulty?

for the sake of all the people waiting for the map to be ranked, You've convinced me enough to remove Platinum Diff. :( But this is just disappointing.

Forgive me for possibly misinterpreting what you said, that this map is essentially a TAG difficulty which would be difficult for a single person to FC which in this case is not.

it is a very poorly made TAG difficulty, or at least that is the only justification i could see for making it.

regardless, the difficulty was removed from the set by the mapper, so i am restoring the bubble.

Pointless and unjustified 1/4 streams? The whole song is just a piano with fast notes. Not much you can do there. Also, I find the map both enjoyable and difficult. Also, nice job on just completing deflecting my point that the difficulty is rankable.

As someone who hates Platinum with all his heart

I don't know exactly why are you guys preventing him from ranking it, sure it might not be that creative but it technically 'follows' the music (accurate down to the 1/4s, LOL) AND is a rankable difficulty (lmao about this being TAG4)

Heck I didn't even agree with the unrank. The map isn't even yours, that's how he mapped it

There are people enjoy boring streams all over the map (not me and many others, obviously)

tl;dr: Platinum is rankable, just rank it and let ratings do the talking

standards have fallen to absolutely abysmal levels in recent months, or so it seems, if such things are even considered close to acceptable

you can fill an entire beatmap with 1/4s and claim it fits with the music as and as long as it does not violate the ranking criteria, you could effectively claim it is rankable. does that mean it is a good idea to rank the map? hardly. in platinum's case, more than half of the jumps that i saw had only loose correlation with the song (there were some very well placed ones though) and practically everything decent in the map was completely overwhelmed by the unrelenting 1/4 streams.

and then outside of platinum, you have this well-adjusted and finely constructed mapset. 15.6mil score in 87s speaks volumes.

So it comes down to whether a BAT/Admin likes it or not even though they probably won't play it. I love this ranking system.

The BAT/Admin is there for a reason. It's called moderation for a reason. It's why the system is in place for a reason.

If you don't like it, then simply leave. Is it that hard to comprehend?

It's completely rankable and some people like it. It follows the music. There is no moderation here, just "I don't like this map". The mapper also has a right to deny mods if they don't assist in what he wanted the map to be. A BAT shouldn't have full say over a map.

In a mapper's perspective, and this is soley mine, please don't get me wrong on this; Platinum was mapped very lazily, and could have been an amazing diff, if the mapper just didn't have his pride in the wrong places.

In terms of the ranking process; the BAT always has the final say, as it's their job to uphold the mapping "norm", per-say. There's a set quality on maps, rather than if it's just "rankable" or not, and I guess it's my fault for expecting someone who hasn't modded to know this from the start. My apologies.

If the map tickles your pickle, fine. I can't change that fact from you. But the only difference is that said difficulty isn't on BSS. Which is what modders/mappers/moderators uphold the quality of, side by side, as you can see here. As a modder/mapper in this community, there's an obligation that we can take to withstand the ranking standard, and to gradually increase it, not decrease it. I hope you understand this.

You're obviously not a mapper and if you are you must be a terrible one if you think all there is in this song is 1/4 streams and there is not much you can do.

okay,so

thumbnails don't work in the beatmap listing for me,could anyone else confirm?


you're missing the last kiai in Gold diff,which is 01:05:473 - 01:10:990

could you use soft sampleset (as in Silver) or at least lower the volume to 40% from beginning up to the 00:11:680 in all your diffs? hitsounds are really rough there

and the last thing - as Gold is now the hardest diff - use AR9? it plays more comfortable with it imo.

fixed all except the volume thing since i believe it's fine

about the thumbnail, i already talked about ephe, it will be fixed asap if it doesn't update
