I want to compile a list of the most epic beatmaps in osu! history.

The main criteria is this:
There needs to be a 0.5-2second portion of the map which yells EPIC! This will probably mean there is some kind of storyboarding or nice pattern on-screen.
Please specify the time in minutes/seconds that you think should be used, if possible.

The main result of this will be an official osu! trailer which I can been meaning to do for quite a while.

Stay on topic.
Don't mention any maps which do not have storyboards or custom skins (unless you are very sure of yourself).
Don't reply to others' posts.
Keep your suggestions in a single post and edit if you have more.
Don't repeat maps which are already suggested.

Rushing to mention Tribute by awp. The first screen zoom-in at the drums w/ corna score explosion is a good point to pick.
Super Mari scrolling background by LuigiHann.
Epic spinner in More than Jerks by LuigiHann.
Lightsaber sliders in StarWars by LuigiHann.
ChiBA and Taiko in Never Gonna Give you up by...well, you know (notice a PATTERN?)
Portal skin in Still Alive.
Pirate booze skin for Nancy the tavern wench by awp.

I'll stay away from listing my own maps toavoid redundancy with other posters be polite. I have a fondness for the "interaction" between map and background video, so I hope that counts.

Kingcobra52's Christmas Eve Sarajevo 12/24 (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) really screams out.

The whole "Winter" skin and color scheme is absolutely amazing.

Ayaka - Why: Not that heavy on the storyboarding, but it adds a really nice touch to the map. I'm a little surprised it hasn't been mentioned. Specifically, there's storyboarding at 1:07, 1:46, 2:37, and 3:14 in Normal, haven't double-checked for the other diffs though.

I'll add more as I find them.

I know you generally don't talk about your own maps, but I really think 02:22:85 (1,2,3) of News - Weeeek [Insane] deserves a mention.

As of this post, every replay so far has stuffed that up in the exact same way, ie. trying to click 1-3-2 instead of 1-2-3. I do that every time I test that map too (and I tested it heaps). I just find that really interesting, because the repeat of it at 02:25:04 (1,2,3) is never stuffed up - just this pattern.

Viva la Vida is pretty much epic (with custom overrides)

- starting from 2:17 somewhere with these tripple beats.

Katakiri Rekka - Arukadeia Baredo [Hard] (by tom800510)( no storyboard or custom skin, but i think the video would be fine)

Hyadain - World Warrior [Round 2] (by mtmcl)
- 1:38 - 1:39 (the first 3 sliders, somehow i like them^^)

IOSYS - Border of Death [Hard] (by buraimaster1234)
- about 04:25 (maybe another part where the video fits more)

IOSYS - Oyome Ni Shinasai [Hard] (by Mafiamaster)
- 00:49 - 00:51 (crazy video)

eventually Hare Hare Yukai.

I hope these maps fit the criteria.

Going to go out on a limb here and name 2 maps people wouldn't expect.

Ash's Gitarooman. The whole map has silent hitsounds, and it almost makes it feel like you're playing the guitar. I've bashed Ash's silent hitsounds in the past but they really work here. It was a nice map.

Second one, Ash again. His DDR Mario Underground Mozart map. Seriously, have you played this? The song fits perfectly to the Storyboard, and its possibly one of the only maps out there with x2 velocity/half velocity that warns you :P And it doesn't just warn you, the song/storyboard/beatmap takes a whole different path when the BPM gets halved. It's hard to explain, just play the map.

Reikin's 2 U.N. Owens definetly deserve mentioning, though that's just what I think.

World Warrior [round 2] always appeals to me in the way that it mixes beats with sliders.

Oh, and i like 1:31 on Smiley - Xuxa [Simple] because i love how it's changing from night to day by a spinner :) (i said Simple because it has the shortest spinner)

Has anyone mentioned K2J's sonic pirate beatmap? That had a really fun storyboard. One of my favourite parts was the One-Two when Sonic was falling through the sky.

Mika - Lollipop was probably Rolled's most epic map. The overall mood of the map/skin/scheme was good, there are no particular parts that I recall standing out.

That one map I did called whatever (Danimal Cannon - Rockin' on Heaven's Door) had a couple epic scenes, one being after the Epoch flies by and the Chrono Trigger logo appears and shimmers, and also when the clock begins winding forward rapidly through time. I forget the timeline Sinistro next time you're lurking if you feel like posting the times it'd be appreciated, though I don't expect you to
