Hello, M4M as we agreed! Your map is very good I don't think I'll find much, but I will try my best! Sorry it take so long compare to your mod but had some internet problems \O/
Marathon00:25:161 (3,4) - In the drum backbeat section of the song this type of stack is very nicely accentuated with the music but that BGM hasn't started yet so are you sure you want to use the stack here? Makes it a bit inconsistent imo when throughout this section you use 00:29:223 (4,5) - or 00:15:004 (2,3,4) - I know there's no vocals here but there weren't any in the first one either
00:49:223 (4,5) - Whenever this pattern has appeared in the song so far it has utilized sharp angles from the 4->5 but here it uses a more linear flow from the sliderend to 4 to 5 to the next slider which is spaced for the drum sound. It felt a little strange while playing because I was expecting a back and forth motion like 00:39:223 (4,5,1) - or 00:29:223 (4,5,1) - or even 00:51:723 (4,5,1) -
01:21:098 (2) - IMO after this part the song isn't as intense as before in the BGM so you could tone down the spacing here a bit to reflect that. Up to you
02:05:792 (1) - Maybe it's just me but I think this could look a bit better
Maybe more like
http://arf.s-ul.eu/NkuSnsap ?
02:06:592 (4,1) - Minor thing, but maybe make these sliders the same for slider pairing purposes? Can feel a little strange visually IMO
02:46:325 (4,5,6) - Hmm I'm not sure about this rhythm, it sounds like two 1/2 sounds instead of a triple to me
02:53:263 (2,3) - Hmm the stack felt a bit random to me, anything in particular you're emphasizing here or is it just for variation? Muscle memory from the rest of the song wasn't expecting a sudden stop in movement is all
02:59:263 (2) - Consider removing this? Mapping the lyrics right before an very instrumental heavy section felt a little strange and leaving that little vocal as a break sounds better to me than mapping it when "tamashii saa" isn't really mapped
03:50:637 (4,5) - I know it's consistent with the previous iteration, but here the vocal is slightly different and doesn't have as much happening on the second note aka "5". I think it could work as a slider especially with the held vocal being held sound.
03:52:713 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I don't mind linear jumps at all personally, but I feel there is some lost opportunity to emphasize the sound shift at 5, possibly by making the flow direction change at 5.
04:03:613 (6,1) -
(Unsure) Consider Ctrl+G ing these rhythm wise for the vocal, I know you want drum beats on clickable things but it sounded a little odd to me. Well I know it's an inconsistency but consider it?
(minor) 04:14:859 (1) - Adjust the red point to the middle?
(minor) 04:17:627 (1) - I think this looks better if the last sliderpoint is moved to the right a bit
04:29:046 (5,6,7) - I think the sound best fitting a slider is from 04:29:392 - to 04:29:565 - in other words consider Ctrl+G ing 04:29:219 (6,7) - rhythm wise
04:35:620 (1,2,1,2,1,2,3) - It looks nice but comes a bit out of nowhere as there hasn't really been this level of 1/4 spam before. Consider nerfing the spacing a bit?
04:40:637 (5) - Are you sure you want the sound at 04:40:810 - to be a sliderend? It sounds strong sound to me and also you mapped the sounds right before it at 04:39:772 (1,2,3) - so highly recommend this to be clickable
04:43:924 (1) - Same here, recommend 1/2 slider and circle instead of single 1/1 slider
04:54:456 (6,7) - Why spacing decrease here when pitch of the BGM went up and there is finish hitsound D: I expected it to increase like the previous ones since the sound keeps going up in pitch
05:02:126 (2) - I don't recommend stacking this, it's a ripe moment for a miss/sliderbreak/early hit. Recommend more like 05:01:029 (5,6) -
05:08:924 (2,1) - Whoa such a huge jump like this after smaller 1/4 jump like 05:07:608 (1,1) - hmm I feel it may catch player off guard, especially in long map like this maybe surprises aren't the best idea. Up to you whether to decrease spacing or not though
05:51:026 (1,2,3,4) - Well if it looks like a square, maybe make it a perfect one? People notice these things in my experience
06:59:139 (6) - NC the SV change? It's very difficult to read otherwise IMO
07:11:139 (10) - No SV change here even though similar sound?
07:52:230 (7) - Delete this note for emphasize the hard drum sound?
08:01:605 (1) - Higher spacing when the noise is decreasing is a little weird IMO, perhaps lower the spacing from the previous note to 1
08:10:605 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5) -
I love these copy/paste patterns for the similar verse, it's a cool structure idea!08:25:042 (4,5,6) - Make perfect triangle
08:26:730 (4,5) - Spacing decrease from 08:25:042 (4,5,6) ? I think the higher tone of vocals is continued here so can be spaced a bit more
09:15:161 (1,2) - Recommend spacing it a little closer, I had some trouble reading it as a 1/4 jump after all the streams in the previous song, even with the ending of that song and the 1/4 kickslider triple jumps. 09:15:678 (3,4) - being a 1/2 jump is also a little difficult to read as it is spaced rather close to the slider, almost similar spacing like the 1/4 IMO, maybe space this note a bit more?
09:18:264 (2,3) - NC the SV changes maybe? In such a long map especially, unexpected SV changes are combo killer D: Same at 09:24:126 (3) - 09:29:299 (2,3) - 09:34:816 (2,3) - etc. Maybe this is your style and it looks more aesthetically better to you to not spam new combos, but for readability from player point of view, especially one whom is sightreading, I think it is very difficult to expect such SV changes D: See how you NC them at 11:22:562 (1,1,1,1,1) -
09:21:195 (3,4) - Yeah like I mentioned in the previous points, the spacing is just a biiit too small for comfort, perhaps you could space it slightly more so it can be more easily differentiated from 1/4 jumps like 09:20:678 (1,2,3,4) - ? Just my opinion, if you think the spacing is fine then up to you, but see how you make them at 09:26:713 (3,4) - I think this kind of spacing is better
09:40:333 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - Hmm I have some issue with this jump pattern, my opinion I think the vocal is not really conducive to this kind of spacing at this point. To be honest 5,6,7 in this pattern is fine, but 1,2,3,4 better fits to the pattern you did at 09:48:609 (2,3) - or 09:51:368 (2,3) - for example. In my opinion that pattern fits much better than these jumps, and if you agree recommend changes to this one and 09:45:850 (2,3,4,5) - . I know it ruin some of your pattern aesthetic especially at the second one but it really stood out to me as slightly overdone and unneeded,
in my opinion.09:47:402 (4,5) - Hmm this verse with these lyrics repeats twice more but we do not see this 1/4 pattern again, why? Is the song more intense and more fitting to 1/2 jumps in your opinion? Legitimately asking, I was expecting some more 1/4 jump in playing this but it never come
(little nazi) 09:56:540 (1,2) - These are not symmetrical >.< It is annoying to make them equal on both sides but for polish purposes I recommend trying if you can
10:20:234 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Any reason spacing get larger in the stream, I don't hear intensity rising but maybe I miss something? Also I recommend simply make it a smooth curve instead of changing the flow at 6 onwards, the vocal change is not that large in my opinion
11:14:907 (3,1) - IMO for follow the drums some counter flow would be better here, make the 11:15:081 (1,2,3) - flow from right to left rather than up to down to contrast with the left to right flow of 11:14:559 (1,2,3) -
11:37:003 (1,2,3) - Same at this part, the flow from 11:35:437 (1,2,3) - into 11:35:959 (1,2,3) - feels very nice but I'm not sure about this second one
11:54:922 (7,1) - Is a little hard to read this 1/4 jump since 6 to 7 was closer and had some overlap, perhaps decrease the spacing a bit? The SV being faster at 1 makes this very easy to sliderbreak already, could make it a little less evil with spacing IMO
12:02:751 (1,2,3) - Consider making these a repeat slider? Then it adds a lot more emphasis to the next jumps and makes it a little easier to adjust to them IMO. I know the small spacing kind of does this already but from key tapping point of view it makes the jumps have that much more gameplay impact if you only need one key push to complete these notes compared the jumps afterwards which require rapid 1/2 presses. Same at places like 12:13:886 (1,2,3) - where there's jumps after that echo three beat pattern
12:21:715 (3,4) - IMO the sounds after this 3 to 4 jump are stronger than the sound here from 3 to 4 so it is a little strange for this to be the biggest jump of them all, just my thoughts
12:30:240 (2) - Ctrl+G? Makes it consistent with similar pattern at 12:24:151 (1,2) - and also IMO flows better from 1 to 2 and also 2 to 3
12:52:916 (3,4,5) - Just my personal feelings about this is that it is often difficult for player to adjust to new rhythm style after playing through a previous song which had very different rhythm. This is deceptively fast compared to the spacing and I think for the
first instance of this rhythm in this new song it might be better to space them less/make it clearer that it is 1/4, like the triple patterns before it? 13 minutes into a map and missing on something like this is heart breaking to say the least (no I'm not salty >:c)
13:47:427 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) -
Brilliant again15:32:411 (3,1) - EVIL!
I liked your map a lot! Normally I am not the biggest fan of Japanese young girl singing but the voices were not loli and the songs were quite catchy, especially "Ponytail to Shushu"
Sorry I could not find many important things to point out but hope it was a helpful mod, thank you for modding my map and wish you good luck!
