Vanilla's Banana

  1. 00:01:198 (1,2) - might want to turn them into a slider since the sound is really faint and you can't really click exactly on it
  2. 00:12:497 (1,2) - gonna mention this just once, but please silence those slider ends since they don't fall on any beat D:
  3. 00:14:835 (4,5,6,7) - prolly personal, bu these work better if spread out evenly instead of a back and forth movement imo
  4. 00:19:315 (2,3) - this overlap looks terrible in gameplay. Just a repeat slider looks better, but that's not your style perhaps.
You might want to do something similar to 00:58:276 (3,4) - this perhaps, idk
  5. 00:46:783 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - I like what you did here, but then I wonder why isn't it the same for 00:28:081 (1,2,3,4,1) - and similar rhythms, since it's... the same .-.
  6. 00:33:926 (6) - following your hitsounding, I would probably use a couple circles instead, both beats seem strong equally and your current flow doesn't really help much there :/
  7. 00:49:120 (6,7) - what do you think of another repeat slider instead?
  8. 01:01:198 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - not really gonna make detailed points here, but it seems to me that whenever you have a lot of circles in sequence your patterns become less structured .-.
  9. 01:03:926 (1,2,3) - interesting way to make this, because imo players will just react on instinct on these. You have different snap with similar visual spacing, hence it is hard to read 01:03:926 (1,2) - and 01:04:315 (2,3) - as different snaps
  10. 01:05:484 (1,2,3,4) - you should start that sort of concept from 01:05:630 - instead, if you listen closely to the song. You even did it correctly for 01:11:913 (1,2,3,1) - lol
  11. 01:15:614 - maybe you can use that beat :p

Insane

  1. 00:37:237 (3,4,5) - ahh, you sort of lost me here, since I was expecting you to follow the drum (the kicks, more specifically) you have at 00:37:237 - and 00:37:627 -
What do you think of this instead? http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927078
  2. 00:42:107 (1,2,3) - slider ends should be silenced if not used (and you don't seem to be using them)
  3. 00:45:614 (2,3,4) - again, you do something that seems strange, since you suddenly drop that fast 1/6 rhythm you mapped before.
    What about https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927089 instead?
  4. 00:53:796 (7,8,9) - really ugly spacing inconsistency. http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927104 ?
  5. 00:59:055 (1) - why is this a NC standing alone? xD You probably don't need 00:59:640 (1) - as NC
  6. 01:01:393 (1) - same, no need for NC here, but maybe add one at 01:02:757 (4) -
  7. 01:05:484 (1,2,3,4,5) - those slider ends are so noisy @.@

________________

Hard

  1. 00:20:094 (1) - remove NC xD
  2. 00:21:848 (5,1) - switch NC, after that you can add one for 00:23:211 (3) - if you want
  3. 00:24:965 (1,2,3) - this is confusing because you use the same visual pattern for a different snap at the start of the map: 00:12:497 (1,2,3,4) - . A repeat slider would work better for 00:24:965 (1,2,3) - imo
  4. rest of the NCs is just the same stuff over and over, but you should be able to fix them by following the stuff I mentioned above ^
  5. You can probably use AR7 instead, since you know... it's slow BPM and all
  6. OD and HP are the same as the Insane so I wonder if this is just an unintentional mistake...

Lilyanna'a Normal

  1. 00:17:172 (1,2) - this sort of visual spacing is a bit misleading. New players hardly know how to "read" the approach circles, hence they just go onto the next object as soon as they see it. In this case it is easy to see the next one, so they will probably read this as a 1/2. http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927168 ?
  2. 00:19:120 (2,3) - not really a fan of clustered movements like this one, but I can't come up with anything, so rip
  3. 00:24:185 (1) - no need for this NC lol
  4. 00:47:172 (1,2,3) - it is a bit strange to not have the same 1/2 rhythm you had for 00:34:315 (1,2,3,4) -
  5. 00:50:679 (2,3) - speaking of clustered movements, this would work way better with a ctrl G (1 will need fixing later)
  6. 01:02:172 (4,1) - switch NC
  7. 01:05:289 (3,1,2,3) - this is probably too confusing for this level, but I can't really tell how a newbie player would behave

Firetruck's Easy

  1. 01:13:276 (1) - I would make the spinner end at 01:15:614 - as the Normal, since the last part is spinning on empty audio track lol

What do you think of this instead? http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927078 I see the concern here and I think your suggestion will work. I was really just mapping to the instrument that's being played just like the jumps before at 00:31:588 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - and other places alike. I'll see what other people think as I get mods :^)
  2. 00:42:107 (1,2,3) - slider ends should be silenced if not used (and you don't seem to be using them) all fixed! thanks for mentioning this
  3. 00:45:614 (2,3,4) - again, you do something that seems strange, since you suddenly drop that fast 1/6 rhythm you mapped before.
What about https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927089 instead? for this part I was trying to map the same sounds that I mapped at 00:39:965 (5,6) - but I just mapped it in a different way if that makes sense. I'm not sure what 1/6 rhythm you are referring to (I'll pm you in-game if you don't see this response)
  4. 00:53:796 (7,8,9) - really ugly spacing inconsistency. http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927104 ? should be good now! used your suggestion
  5. 00:59:055 (1) - why is this a NC standing alone? xD You probably don't need 00:59:640 (1) - as NC ok but most of these NC changes are because of the SV changes. I wasn't sure if I should NC the SV change or not
  6. 01:01:393 (1) - same, no need for NC here, but maybe add one at 01:02:757 (4) - ewrwe
  7. 01:05:484 (1,2,3,4,5) - those slider ends are so noisy @.@ I'll make them louder just for you

Vanilla's Banana

  1. 00:46:783 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - I like what you did here, but then I wonder why isn't it the same for 00:28:081 (1,2,3,4,1) - and similar rhythms, since it's... the same .-. I'm accounting for the extra instrument added, it also lets me make a map that isnt super repetitive that still follows the rhythm
  2. 01:01:198 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - not really gonna make detailed points here, but it seems to me that whenever you have a lot of circles in sequence your patterns become less structured .-. I fixed this, but I tried following the pitch of the synth for my spacing
  3. 01:03:926 (1,2,3) - interesting way to make this, because imo players will just react on instinct on these. You have different snap with similar visual spacing, hence it is hard to read 01:03:926 (1,2) - and 01:04:315 (2,3) - as different snaps I still think it flows pretty well, I don't see th problem 0.0
Thanks man!

  1. 00:17:172 (1,2) - this sort of visual spacing is a bit misleading. New players hardly know how to "read" the approach circles, hence they just go onto the next object as soon as they see it. In this case it is easy to see the next one, so they will probably read this as a 1/2. http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7927168 ? i dont think so tbh the is a clear 1/1 spacing and the other object already disapeared but ye changed pattern positions
  2. 00:19:120 (2,3) - not really a fan of clustered movements like this one, but I can't come up with anything, so rip same
  3. 00:24:185 (1) - no need for this NC lol fixed
  4. 00:47:172 (1,2,3) - it is a bit strange to not have the same 1/2 rhythm you had for 00:34:315 (1,2,3,4) - fixed
  5. 00:50:679 (2,3) - speaking of clustered movements, this would work way better with a ctrl G (1 will need fixing later) fixed
  6. 01:02:172 (4,1) - switch NCfixed
  7. 01:05:289 (3,1,2,3) - this is probably too confusing for this level, but I can't really tell how a newbie player would behavelet them learn the hard way ;w; if any other complain or i come up with new patten ill change it
PM me for clarifications if any~

00:17:952 (1) - Honestly i don't think this should be NCed, it looks odd enough as a 1 object combo, but if you decide to keep this NCed cuz of the new instrument, perhaps 00:18:731 (1) - shouldn't be NCed? I'm not sure which one would work better but the 1 object combo is kinda odd to me

00:28:666 (2,5,1) - perhaps move the slider so it's equidistant between the 2 and 5 circles

00:30:224 (3,4,5) - I see a lot of these, but it's really just me being picky but the visual distance inside your combos is sometimes staggered like this. (Referring to how 3 is closer to 4 than it is to 5)

00:36:458 (1) - this is a rare case where you used a buzz slider instead of a circle like you had previously in the kiai

00:42:107 (1,2,3) - ur rhythm choice is really random during these kiais, this is the only time where you have the sliders extended, as you can also tell in the bottom timeline where your timing points are. I'd suggest either setting a consistent rhythm for ever other measure or changing this to be consistent with the rest

00:44:640 (4,5,1) - another example where your visuals could possibly look better if the objects were equidistant

00:48:926 (8,1) - last time you had a buzz slider for this sound, you had the buzz slider NCed as well as had a buzz slider at the end of the combo. (reffering to 00:36:458 (1,2,3,4,5,6) -

01:10:159 (1,2) - looked kinda odd to have two different slider shapes, personally i like the 2nd slider more but having these consistent as well might make something more 'comfy' (?? idk the right word) to look at

01:15:614 (1) - if u want me to map my end circle as a slider that ends on the same spot hmu
Hard
I'm not too good with hards in terms of playability so i'll point out any visual stuff if i find anything

00:41:133 (3,5,1,2) - not sure if you can do too much here without remapping the pattern but this looks quite cluttered with the weird overlaps.

http://puu.sh/vAJ52/4acafb9ab8.jpg then http://puu.sh/vAJ6F/88f3e7bebd.jpg is what I did, everything stayed at your 1.2x DS and stuff was stacked nicer

00:56:523 (6,7,1,2) - what's odd about these sliders is how 6 and 7 are much closer in their blanket, compared to 1 and 2. its just nitpicky stuff so its w/e
lily normal
00:24:965 (1) - These spinners seem really out of place and quick for a normal diff, I think sliders would work out better, also you were the only one to use spinners for that part. I know it works because it's a GD but for mapset consistency as well as playability I think a slider can work out better

00:37:432 (1) - This spinner could also be turned into a couple objects but this probably works out because it's the end of the first kiai so change if you'd like (I'm just picky)

00:40:939 (1,3) - make sure to stack these cleaner? idk if it was intentional or rankable if it was perfectly stacked so don't listen to me ;_;

00:49:705 (4,1,3) - the visual of this looks off because 4 is a lot closer to the slider than 3 http://puu.sh/vAJo0/00c41b9e0d.jpg Maybe move the slider left more or the circle?

M4M

Banana

00:01:198 (1,1) - It would fit a lot better if you could gradually rise the volume of the sliders (starting from even lower than where the volume is now) like first slider would be 5% volume, second 10% and so on

00:04:315 (1,2) - Since you have represented the change to 1/2 from 1/1 here with a NC you could do the same here 00:05:289 (4) -

00:08:017 (3) - Maybe here aswelll. On top of the reason stated above it would keep up with the NCing used on the 2 object patterning

00:19:364 - Tbh these is completely overmapped. Sure the sound may feel like it but there are no distinct beats on the yellow tick as the sound is changing all the time throughout the 1/4 of a beat. On top of that it brings too much intensity to such a calm part. Represent the hold sound with a 1/4 slider if you want to represent it somehow

00:24:965 (5) - I don't think a finish fits here. Mostly the skins nowdays have a strong cymbal sound as the finish hitsound (me included) which doesn't sound correct with whatever is the sliderhead mapped on. Imo leaving the head unhitsounded would be the best option here considering the sound it's mapped on unless you are planning to have a custom soft-hitfinish which would support the sound instead of ruining it

00:28:081 (1,2,3,4) - I adore this kind of creativity, i really do. Only a small thing i noticed on these patterns is that sliders 3 and 4 are similar even though the sound under the 4 is completely different. Also the pattern originally made me feel like the sliders were gradually gaining shape which would imo be the best way to solve the issue (this means the 3 would be little bit less curved than the 4 but more curved than the 2). Though if you want to emphasize the sound change on the 4 you could make the 3 the same as the 2 and keep the 4 like it is

00:38:211 (1) - Sliders with custom SV (<0.5x...2x>) need to have a warning in the map description like here. Talk with ora about this

00:38:991 (1) - This could look much more nicer aesthetically if the first followpoint would be moved roughly 3 girds to the right as it would even out the S shape.

00:40:939 (2,3) - This is pretty much the only case where the sliders are overlapping and imo it would be fairly easily avoidable

00:45:224 (1) - Could be adjusted since the curving formed by sliderhead|followpoint|followpoint creates a super tight curve which doesn't really look aesthetically too good

00:56:913 - There isn't really a reason to end the break here. If you want to emphasize the two beats before the initial mapping starts again just map them lol

01:11:913 (1,2,3) - Instead of following the way you have mapped these before you decided to just shrink the sliderbody for the next one to create this kind of a descending pattern. I love the idea of the descending pattern but it would be just that much cooler if you would continue the way you have used here 01:08:796 (1,2,3) - where the slider's body is actually shrinking (a straight slider would get a little bit shorter every time for example) instead of just resizing the original slider. This would be my way to do it but you would be more than welcome to come up with your own way to do this

01:15:614 (1) - Again, finish doesn't really fit to the sound it's mapped on

Really cool unusual concepts

Insane

00:20:484 - Imo this should be mapped as a clickable. It's theoretically the same as 00:20:094 - which is mapped as a clickable so leaving a similar beat mapped differently in a super short window doesn't make sense

00:25:549 (2) - Personally i don't think this is important enough to be mapped but it's not my map so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

00:27:887 (5,1,2,3,4,5,6) - Few things about this pattern. Firstly i feel like 00:28:276 - is really similar to the two following beats and it should be mapped like them and secondly you could mix up the patterning for 00:28:860 (3,4,5,6) - as the sounds in the song change and it would be a good chance to represent them through object placement. To the second point, this 00:34:705 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - kind of patterning is cool but it still does not bring up the difference between the beats before and after 00:34:997 -

00:36:458 (1) - 00:48:926 (8) - You haven't mapped any of the other buzzes (excluding 00:38:114 (6) - since it's the finisher) so having one on those two mentioned points is kinda odd and inconsistant

00:58:081 (2,3,4,5) - Extremely picky but the circularity from the circles does not really connect with the slider. Tbh it doesn't really matter if they connect or not since that's just an aesthetical viewpoint but it's something that i feel could be adjusted

01:05:484 (1,2,3,4) - Imo introducing 1/4 slider patterns at this point to the map isn't really a good idea because the part is not that intense it would fully support that kind of patterning exceptionally since you haven't even used similar patterning in the kiai but rather just normal jumps ( 00:28:471 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - )

Hard

00:24:185 (1,2,3) - Imo the spacing and SV should be decreased for these . They are much less intense overall than anything prior to them

00:38:211 (1) - Since this is a hard difficulty you can pull this slider a tick further to properly represent the hold sound which theoretically lasts until the next slider

00:52:627 (4) - Picky, the 4 has little bit higher DS because of the stacking than the other 3 objects prior to it

Usually you stack similarly sounding beats ( 00:52:627 (4,5) - 00:53:796 (7,8) - ) but space a bit when the beats are not similar ( 00:52:822 (5,6) - 00:54:380 (9,1) - ). With this ideology these 00:55:744 (4,5) - two should be spaced

00:57:692 - It's kinda shame that this kind of a beat has to be mapped under a slidertail :/

01:01:393 (1,2,3) - Imo the visual transition between 2 and 3 isn't really as good as it could be. It just generally looks much tighter than you have generally used. You could for example form a triangle from 1|sliderhead2|sliderhead3 with the current shape of the 3 to make the pattern look little bit less tigher?

01:06:263 (3,4) - This is extremely high DS for hard difficulties in general and considering the section it's used in (well what is it mapped on) doesn't really make sense. Also this is extremely inconsistent with any other pattern in the difficulty.

Lily

The SV is really high for a normal difficulty and the change from easy to normal SV wise is extremely unusually high

00:20:679 (1,3) - The fact that the 3 has been mapped under the slidertail of the 1 may cause reading issues with newer players but the movement from the 2 kinda supports the placement without that kind of visible readability. I personally would not stack anything under slidertails but you do what you do :s

00:24:965 (1) - Spinner is way too short for a normal difficulty. New players have next to no time to react to this kind of spinners

00:51:458 (1) - The spacing from the 3 to this object could be little bit less since the beat it's mapped on does not have that kind of energy the other beats have. It would be justified because of that aswell

01:05:289 (3) - The reverse point is much stronger and different than the head here. It makes no sense to have the red tick as clickable while leaving out the actually strong and meaningful downbeat. You should map them both as clickables (probably stack the hitcircle on top of the head of the slider) or just leave 01:05:289 - unmapped. Mapping it as a slider would complete what these 01:05:874 (1,2,3) - sliders are following

Firetruck

There are few unused inherited points in the start and in the end, maybe you could clear them up?

00:14:055 (3) - 00:17:172 (3) - I don't think these have to be two beats long. Firstly the slider takes the beat on the tailpoint ( 00:14:835 - for ex.) which kind of a beat you deem to be clickable right after the slider 00:15:224 (4) - , secondly the sound effect the slider feels to mainly follow is represented as a 1/1 slider otherwise ( 00:12:497 (1,2) - ) which is kinda inconsistent if you ask me

00:43:666 (3,1) - Objects visibly stacked like this should be avoided any way possible in easy difficulties

01:01:978 (2) - All of the objects after this slider are on the right side of the playfield. Maybe you could direct the patterning to the left side at some point to create variety?
Good luck~

Insane

00:20:484 - Imo this should be mapped as a clickable. It's theoretically the same as 00:20:094 - which is mapped as a clickable so leaving a similar beat mapped differently in a super short window doesn't make sense hmm I put a slider there because there's a lasting sound starting at 00:20:094 - . I think it's fine tbh.

00:25:549 (2) - Personally i don't think this is important enough to be mapped but it's not my map so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ aaaa it feels so empty with nothing there. Sorry I'm gonna keep for now

To the second point, this 00:34:705 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - kind of patterning is cool but it still does not bring up the difference between the beats before and after 00:34:997 - hmm I agree with you on some of these issues but isn't it the same for 00:31:393 - and 00:34:510 - ? I think the rhythm can be mapped in both ways respectably, but I'm pretty consistent with the long slider leading into jumps so I don't see much of a problem here. I'll see what others think about this before I make any huge changes but I see your point

00:36:458 (1) - 00:48:926 (8) - You haven't mapped any of the other buzzes (excluding 00:38:114 (6) - since it's the finisher) so having one on those two mentioned points is kinda odd and inconsistant yup you're right I'm going to get rid of these. Sergio made a point about these too so I guess they need to go :o

00:58:081 (2,3,4,5) - Extremely picky but the circularity from the circles does not really connect with the slider. Tbh it doesn't really matter if they connect or not since that's just an aesthetical viewpoint but it's something that i feel could be adjusted i see it thanks for pointing this out^^ rotated the slider a little bit

01:05:484 (1,2,3,4) - Imo introducing 1/4 slider patterns at this point to the map isn't really a good idea because the part is not that intense it would fully support that kind of patterning exceptionally since you haven't even used similar patterning in the kiai but rather just normal jumps ( 00:28:471 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - ) fuk remap incoming

Hard

00:24:185 (1,2,3) - Imo the spacing and SV should be decreased for these . They are much less intense overall than anything prior to them yup you're right, fixed this

00:38:211 (1) - Since this is a hard difficulty you can pull this slider a tick further to properly represent the hold sound which theoretically lasts until the next slider sure I'll try it, I guess that makes sense

00:52:627 (4) - Picky, the 4 has little bit higher DS because of the stacking than the other 3 objects prior to it fasfdfdfas

Usually you stack similarly sounding beats ( 00:52:627 (4,5) - 00:53:796 (7,8) - ) but space a bit when the beats are not similar ( 00:52:822 (5,6) - 00:54:380 (9,1) - ). With this ideology these 00:55:744 (4,5) - two should be spaced 00:52:627 (4,5) - these aren't the same sounds.
goes from high note (4) to low note (5). I don't think this is a big deal and overall playability is fine

00:57:692 - It's kinda shame that this kind of a beat has to be mapped under a slidertail :/ hmm I'll see what other people think. I think it's a good way to end the section before 00:58:081 (1) - . Not sure how I would change this without remapping D:

01:01:393 (1,2,3) - Imo the visual transition between 2 and 3 isn't really as good as it could be. It just generally looks much tighter than you have generally used. You could for example form a triangle from 1|sliderhead2|sliderhead3 with the current shape of the 3 to make the pattern look little bit less tigher? aaaaaaa I'm not sure how the triangle should be in your suggestion, can you post a picture for me fdksla;fas

01:06:263 (3,4) - This is extremely high DS for hard difficulties in general and considering the section it's used in (well what is it mapped on) doesn't really make sense. Also this is extremely inconsistent with any other pattern in the difficulty. yup remapped this part a bit, I think i was drunk and bored

Good luck~
