[General]
- As Arcwin mentioned, you will need a full spread of each keymode since they're treated as different gamemodes.
Working on more difficulties, thanks - I've never seen IN used before lol. Normally it's MX, but IN looks cool too.
- For the OD of 4K HD, I would really recommend reducing it to ~7.7 or something, since, while there are very few LNs, 8 is a bit cruel for this level.
- For HP of 7K IN, you should really consider reducing it to ~8.5 at most since 9 is seen mostly in SC and up.
Fixed the HP and OD, honestly I have no clue what to set for those, thanks[Before I mod]I'm mostly focusing on pitch relevancy. Also, I love the timestamps, they're the best thing I've ever seen, thank you Sharlo.
[7K NM]00:02:000 (2000|0) - Move this to 2 since 00:04:000 (4000|1) is lower in pitch, and should be moved to 1.
I actually do not know music theory so I can't tell if G#1 is is higher or lower than E1. I should have just kept the pitch as Integer but it is already too late for that. Thanks for pointing it out I fixed it00:04:250 (4250|2,4500|4,4750|6) - If the above is accepted, shift these notes one column to the left since the chord is lower than in pitch than the first one.
Fixed00:08:250 (8250|2,8500|3) - I'd consider shifting these 2 columns to the right cause they're higher in pitch than 00:06:250 (6250|3,6500|4)
Fixed00:09:000 (9000|4) - Move to 6 and then 00:10:000 (10000|6) - to 5 cause, well, pitch relevancy lol.
Fixed00:18:375 (18375|1,18375|4) - Can't you just approximate this to 00:18:400 ? It just looks weird to be 1/16 before beat 2.
Fixed, I can't believe I never noticed that, Idk how I messed it up to be like that00:23:800 (23800|6,24200|2) - Control H these since pitch relevancy. I don't think I need to explain the reasoning for moving anymore, so I'll just say "PR" as the reason if I say to move something from now on.
Fixed00:30:600 (30600|0) - to 7, 00:30:600 (30600|4) - to 5 to maintain the double with two spaces between it.
Fixed, you mean 4 and 7? for 2 spaces between it00:29:800 (29800|6,30200|5,30600|4) - I'm not sure if this is that noticeable, but the piano here has the same undertone 3 times for these notes, so you could try jacking them.
You are right, I looked at the SB it is indeed 3 times the same piano sound, Jack it is.00:40:400 (40400|6) - Move to 6, since you made the chords like this be the same, examples like 00:38:200 (38200|2,38200|6,38800|6,38800|2) - same pitch, same chord.
Fixed, glad you noticed what I tried to do.00:41:400 (41400|4,41400|0,42000|0,42000|4) - You could also try putting these notes in the same column as 00:39:800 (39800|1,39800|5,40400|1,40400|6) since they're the same pitch.
Fixed, I remapping this part for more consistency for pitch00:43:200 - Why not add an LN here to represent the music box burst here? and then end at 00:44:000 when the piano comes back in.
Fixed, damn I never though about using LN that way, you are too smart00:47:200 (47200|5,47200|2,47600|0,47600|4,48000|2,48000|5,48400|0,48400|4) - Control H, PR. If you do, move the note that's now in 2 to 1 or something.
Fixed00:47:600 (47600|4,47600|0) and 00:48:400 (48400|4,48400|0) - I get that there's a chord here, but since it's just an octave note (F#3 and F#4), a single note would probably be fine.
Fixed, I don't really understand what you mean by octave note but you have a point the volume isnt very loud here so single note is good.00:48:800 - Try this for PR since it's all ascending
http://puu.sh/r0ka3.jpgFixed, but I rather put 2 spaces between the stairs because of the pitch gap between the 2 chords00:50:000 (50000|2,50000|5) - Same thing I said about the octave chord thing, 1 note is fine since there's no different pitch.
00:50:400 (50400|5) - Move this to somewhere besides 6 since you have a 3 note stack at 00:50:000 (50000|5,50400|5,50800|5) and they're not the same pitch.
00:53:600 (53600|6) - Try 3, 00:53:600 (53600|1) then 1
00:55:800 (55800|4,55800|3) - Make one note, octave chord.
Fixed01:10:800 - PR, try this
http://puu.sh/r0klG.jpgFixed01:20:400 (80400|5,80400|0) - Shift one to the right, PR
Fixed, though I dont really get it01:27:200 - I like this pattern a lot for some reason, nothing else, k go on
Thanks01:34:200 (94200|3) - Remove this note or something since it's such a high pitched one and octave chord thingy again, example where you did this 02:31:800 (151800|0) and 02:44:600 (164600|3)
Fixed01:44:400 (104400|6,104600|5,104800|1,104800|3) - Control H, pr
Fixed02:25:600 (145600|6,145600|1) - Shift one to the left, PR
Fixed03:14:400 - I'd highly suggest adding a double here for the low piano chord since it's on the downbeat and a little easier to predict than if it came on an upbeat.
Fixed, I don't want a double because the piano note is a very long one , so added LN instead03:15:800 (195800|3) - Jack this with 03:16:000 (196000|6) since they're the same pitch? But it also looks out of place, so whatever works.
I feel like its better to be stair since I added a LN, dont want make it too hard for beginners, see image above03:19:443 (199443|4,199443|0) - Move these towards the right columns.
03:21:530 (201530|4,201530|2) - Move this towards the left columns.
03:23:617 (203617|5,203617|1) - Keep it around the center
Fixed 3 points above03:52:464 (232464|6) - PR, move to 6
Fixed03:53:424 (233424|6,233664|5) - Shift one towards the left, PR
Fixed04:03:264 (243264|3,243424|1,244224|3,244384|1) - I'd really prefer a straight left -> right roll since the piano is doing an arpeggio kind of thing here going from low pitch to high pitch. So control H, and then shift twice to the left.
Fixed04:15:264 (255264|2,255264|6,255744|1,255744|5) - Swap their columns, meaning the first chord is in {26}, the next is {37} PR
Fixed[4K HD]Since 4K doesn't have as many columns, I'll be focusing on the patterns more than the pitch.
00:06:250 (6250|2) - Wat. Uh, move to 2?
Fixed00:09:750 (9750|3) - Again 2. The jacks aren't necessary if the pitch isn't the same.
Fixed00:12:750 (12750|3) - Move to 3 to get a {12-43} pattern.
Fixed00:18:375 (18375|0,18375|2) - Also, I said before, just approximate this to 00:18:400 for now.
Fixed, I really think its rather a mistake when I converted midi to osu beatmap. Just never noticed it, thanks lol00:26:600 (26600|3,26600|0,26600|1) - Since this is the same intensity or weight as the other piano chords around it, make this a double.
Fixed by putting the piano note to SB, keeping the 2 music box notes00:31:800 (31800|0) - Move to 2 cause it's not the same pitch as 00:31:600 (31600|0)
Fixed, gonna remap this musix box part00:33:200 (33200|2) - to 4, PR
Fixed00:34:800 (34800|3) - to 2 PR
00:43:200 - As I said in the last diff, an LN starting from here to 00:44:000 would be nice to represent the burst of bells. Or, since this is a HD difficulty, you could even map it as a 1/4 burst.
Im just gonna remove all piano and make it music box until 00:55:200 (55200|0) - 00:49:400 (49400|2,49400|1) - Make this {14} or something cause PR
00:50:400 (50400|1) - to 1 to avoid a jack. I'm going to stop mentioning them, but there are a lot and they could easily be moved around to get slightly different patterns.
00:56:800 (56800|3,57200|3) - 3 since the bells are the same pitch through
Im just gonna put A = 1. B = 2, C = 3 and D = 4, its perfect how this section only has 4 pitch00:59:000 (59000|2) - to 1 or 2
00:59:200 (59200|2,59400|1,59600|0) - Shift one to the right, then move 00:59:800 (59800|3) to 1 since the pitch is descending right -> left
01:17:200 (77200|2,77200|3,77200|0) - Reduce to a double, or you can make notes like 01:18:200 (78200|1,78200|3) - 01:18:800 (78800|0,78800|3) triples since they're accented.
Fixed to double01:34:200 (94200|3,94200|0) - Single note please q.q It's so soft compared to everything else.
Honestly I dont even know why I have 2 of same notes here, removed. This is actually based on 7k NM , so thats why u see same mistakes in both lol01:38:400 (98400|0,98400|2) - I'd highly consider extending these LNs to 01:42:000 for the piano roll/trill
01:41:600 (101600|3,101800|0) - Then remove these too if you accepted the above since the bell doesn't start until 01:42:000
nice, i shall do that02:00:000 (120000|2,120000|0,120200|3,120200|1,120400|0,120400|2,120600|3,120600|1) - Try jacking these all together since they're the same pitch, or doing a running man kind of pattern like so
http://puu.sh/r0sai.jpg or
http://puu.sh/r0sbf.jpgJack it is02:00:600 (120600|1,120600|0) - Except without jacking this because it's a different pitch than the last 3 chords q.q my ears have deceived me and I feel so betrayed.
Your Ears are working perfectly fine, it is same pitch, even the vocal notes in SB is same pitch02:01:600 (121600|3,121600|0,121800|3,121800|1,122000|0,122000|2) - Basically the same suggestion as above with jacking or doing something to show they're mostly the same pitch.
Got it, except the last chord is different pitch this time02:44:800 (164800|0,164800|3,164800|1,165000|2,165000|1) - Remove a note from the triple and jack them.
Removed and rearranged pattern02:53:800 (173800|3,174200|3) - Move to 3 to stay consistent with the pattern at 02:52:000
02:54:400 (174400|2) - Assuming above is accepted, move this to 4, then you have a {34-21} pattern
I think im just gonna have column 1 as jack, then alternating stair on 2-3-4 like here03:30:139 (210139|1) - 3 pls
Fixed, turned into stair left to right03:38:304 - Rather than use jacks, just make them left -> right patterns and repeat it until the piano changes pitch, like at 03:42:144 so every 2 measures I think.
03:42:144 - Then here, you could use a split roll pattern like {12-43}
http://puu.sh/r0sqt.jpgok fixed the 2 points above, i hate how 4k doesnt have enough space to keep pitch relevancy across a long section03:55:264 (235264|0,235424|1) - Shift twice to the right, the one handed 1/3 trill you have here is q.q
fixed03:57:504 - You could add an LN or something here to represent the 1/6 bell trill.
Actually I think my HD is a bit too low SR, so gonna remove the piano and map that trill instead until 03:58:624 (238624|3) - 04:17:184 (257184|3,257184|0,257184|1) - Preferably one note since it's way quieter here compared to the three note chords, but a double would work fine too.
ok, 1 note04:33:984 - This pattern just feels like random jacks and whatnot. Maybe try something like this
http://puu.sh/r0sAX.jpg Well, not that exactly because that would be a nightmare to hit, but something like straight 1/2 doubles.
I like your pattern a lot, thanks[Comments]I'm assuming automap-chan made the diffs because some of these patterns just don't make that much sense.
I apologize It was actually me being bad at mapping. Automap-chan patttern algorithm focus on anti-jack by spreading the notes horizontally as much as possible to allow player to play high density notes.Anyways, I'd watch out for all the jacks that keep popping up in the 4K diffs due to lack of columns and space., and try to make stuff easier to hit like this one anchor that popped up in 4K IN 01:40:900 (100900|2,101100|2,101300|2,101500|2,101700|2,101900|2) which is just going to be annoying to hit and play.
Also, some of the chord layering is a bit screwed up, since some soft piano notes will have 3 notes, and some loud notes will have 1 note, and stuff like that that I mentioned above.
Ok im gonna carefully go back and do a heavy self-mod, thanks I will pay attention to what you mentioned hereSo yeah, good luck, amazing keysounding tho, teach me how to midi pls.
Sorry I can't teach you midi, I just google and download them. I do not know music theory or how to use a midi editor to make it myself.
FYI, Midi stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. You can think of it as digital version of music sheet, it only contains info about how make the right sound but does not actually contain any sound in the file. It is your computer, the musician that reads it then plays out the sound. Midi is like a formula that will give u many right answer, and Mp3/wav/ogg is like the one of the many right answer.
