At last, the waiting is over, the judging is complete, and we can announce the winners! It was a pretty close contest. And the winners are...

Masashi Hamauzu - Showing Heart "Dance of the Cornered Rat"
6 judges voted 0-10, so points are out of a possible 60
  1. First place: lesjuh, with 50.05 points (83.4%) (download the winning map!) (mod the current revision!)
  2. Runner-ups:
    1. Gens, with 48.80 points
    2. Shinxyn, with 48.80 points

5 judges voted 0-10, so points are out of a possible 50
  1. First place: m980, with 44.00 points (88.0%) (download the winning map!) (mod the current revision!)

Special congratulations to lesjuh, who won in two different categories, thus creating an awkward situation which I was hoping to avoid! :D Also congratulations to m980, for getting the highest average score out of any map in the contest. I'm just glad I made it in time, the Japanese and Instrumentals were made in a week, more or less, and TITIG was VERY DIFFICULT TO MAP, I didn't really like how it turned out, but... it was a'ight

These results at least were much better and close than the first Beatmap Contest. At least there weren't any entries that submitted a COMPLETELY different song, nor extremely gigantic differences between the best and the worst. :P

I hope my comments aren't bad. x:

Actually, 29 * 3 = 87 beatmaps where made for this contest.

As opposed to not nearly as many for the first one. It was 20 to 30, wasn't it?

The main reason there weren't so many entries is due to the mapset requirement. It requires much more work than just making a Normal or a Hard.

87 maps isn't anywhere near a bad turnout, though, so if anything it proves that the songs were good enough for plenty of people to make 3 maps per song, especially when they weren't likely to get anything from doing it.

I won't name names, but I've seen many of the top mappers on each of the lists acting more like sore losers than the people at the bottom. I really hope we don't have another contest cause the attitude is just awful. What complete garbage.
