Standard lagged too much on my laptop, and I came from the guitar hero community, so it didn't take long to get good at the game :P

7K is my favorite, but I'm better at 4K

Yolomania songs, probably Back to The Gate or Burst Linker because DJ Sharpnel and jumpstreams

Jumpstreams that don't have 3 note chords

Multiplayer, the game is always more fun when playing with more people

Unranked, because there is literally nothing for 4k that is worth playing that is ranked.

1. started playing because i saw that it existed in osu!test and i've always desired a mania game that both supported 4k mode, worked similarly to stepmania, and had an expansive online ranking!

2. 4k! though 6k follows very closely behind :)

4. since its debut in osu!test - as soon as i saw that it existed, i donated to become a supporter, just to try it out.

I started rhythm gaming with StepMania, and I noticed that osu!mania was really similar so why not? :P

A couple of dudes in the FFR community (Staiain, Choofers, LG, Gon, Fullerene) were playing osu!mania and I wanted to try it out.

2. What is your favourite keymode?
I only play 4k, so 4k.

3. What is the layout of your favourite keymode?
SDGH, but this varies a lot.

4. How long have you been playing osu!mania? (not including other games)
Can't quite answer that. I don't play very often, I usually play for a day or two and stop for a month or longer.

5. Which osu!mania song do you like the most?
Bangin' Burst is pretty ratchet. Counting unranked maps, April.#02.

6. What is your favourite type of patterning?
Handgluts at 130-150 BPM.

7. Do you prefer to play in multiplayer or solo?
Solo.

8. Who is your favourite osu!mania player?
I don't really have a favourite osu!mania player, I don't really keep track. I talk to Staiain a lot though so it's probably him by default.

9. Who is your favourite osu!mania mapper?
Fullerene.

10. Do you like to play unranked or ranked maps?
I mainly play unranked maps.

No. While I like the fact that it encourages competition due to how accessible the leaderboards are in the game, but the 4K map selection is incredibly limited in the upper echelon of the game, which is what I generally play both in Stepmania and osu!mania. The hardest maps (the likes of Air Raid, One More Lovely 1.5), while they fulfill their purpose of being difficult, are generally not enjoyable to play due to how forced the difficulty is in most maps. DoubleTime does work for a couple of maps, but not many. I would love to see more ranked or unranked hard 4K maps that are hard because the song calls for it (i.e. musically relevant), and not because the mapper intends it to be insanely hard. It doesn't have to follow the intensity of the song precisely, I think AiAe [Wafles' SHD] is a great file; that's mainly because the difficulty isn't overly forced, despite its additional layering. I think that would attract higher-end 4K players a lot more than it does now.

One of my friends showed me the game. I leaned towards the mania mode, then became obsessed.

2. What is your favourite keymode?
Oh boy... 4k or 7k? How about I say 8k. It needs MUCH more ranked maps, and I have a hard time finding any (even non-ranked).
I can do up to 3.4 star 8k as of right now.

I find double beats easy to get and are rhythmic, so they are my favorite.
For curiosity, my most hated are hold notes and stairs.

I prefer solo. I often need to restart to adjust my speed, which is not something you can do in multiplayer.

8. Who is your favourite osu!mania player?
The Rouge Show. A lobby with him like a five star restaurant: All the good stuff happens with him around. I have to start keeping logs XD!
He also encouraged me to start playing in 7k.

1. I played Guitar Flash for quite a long time, and when I saw TobeGH3 (lol) beginning to play osu I decided to try it out. Turns out I'm pretty terrible at osu but I'm decent-ish at mania yay

The game seemed infinite challenging and my first impression was, that it's more fun than the other modes in osu.

4K is my main, but i really enjoy playing some 10k lately, although i'm still bad at it.

I've been playing o!m for a while now so maybe I can get new answers:
1. Why did you start playing osu!mania?
I was getting pretty burned out from SM because a lack of files to play, and a couple of dudes from FFR were playing osu!mania as well.

2. What is your favourite keymode?
4K.

3. What is the layout of your favourite keymode?
ZXVB

4. How long have you been playing osu!mania? (not including other games)
Probably a few weeks worth in total. Timing's still bad, so I probably haven't played enough.

5. Which osu!mania song do you like the most?
I guess you mean map? In that case I really like Candy Galy. If it's song choice, April.#02 is probably my favourite.

6. What is your favourite type of patterning?
270-350 BPM jumpstream.

There's still tons of room for improvement personally, but I can probably say that I enjoy the game more than I used to. An integral part of rhythm gaming would be the maps, and while there are some silly maps at the top, most of them are usually playable and not really filled with cheap difficulty a la absurdly fast jacks or unhittable patterning. There are some pretty good very hard maps, despite most being SM converts. The ranked map selection needs work though...

The gameplay is good for what it is. I would like the HitPosition to be modifiable up to the decimal points, I feel that one HitPosition is too high and another is too low, despite having a difference by 1. Noteskin has no note snap by default, but I know it's under works at the moment. I can imagine this game getting really really good with some tinkering here and there, so I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying this game more than I used to.

I don't remember... Mostly because I was bored with other games I was playing at the time.

I like them all the same but am best at 4k.

default layout for everything but 8k which is asdf space jkl.

One year and 10 months. It's the first rhythm game I've been seriousish about~

fhana - Itsuka no, Ikutsuka no Kimi to no Sekai (TV Size)

Anything without super fast jackhammers.

7. Do you prefer to play in multiplayer or solo?
I prefer solo because you don't have to wait and you can choose your own songs but I play multiplayer when I am lazy and want people to pick for me or to give me new maps.

Can't pick. I think Cuppp counts as an O2jam player.

I like to play both but I like ranked more just because of leaderboards and stats and some sort of guarantee the map doesn't completely suck.
