1. I saw some videos of DOLCE and Genesis on youtube and thought it would be fun to be able to play like that, started playing with the goal of being able to play the same charts one day

2. No preference, although generally the more keys the merrier since I like alternating and dislike jacks.

3. 4K: WEOP. 5K: QW space OP 6K: 123890 7K: 123 space 890 8K(7K+1 P1-side): N 123 space 890

4. Started osu!mania on 08.07.2013 although I played it for like a week a year earlier when it was just released on osu! but then didn't touch it until that date. Been playing on/off since then.

5. There is no one song I like specifically but overall I love Agka's song picks for his charts way more than most charters.

7. Solo, simply because I dislike waiting for everybody to download the map if it takes forever. If the multiplayer room has people who download fast then multiplayer is more fun :b

I like how easy/straightforward the interface is compared to other mania games, search engines and sorting features allow me to find and play all my favorite maps quickly, and there's quite a lot of unranked maps that are very fun. Also the hit error feature is great and no other mania game has this.
I don't like how LNs work, and wish there were better skinning options, right now many parts of the skins in osu!mania feel bugged or simply impossible to edit.

10. I like to play maps that I like. Doesn't matter if it's ranked or not.
11. No. HP is too tipped on one side. Choose HP 8 and it's spam-clearable. Put HP9 and it drains your hp too much. HP10 is perfection. Plus LN is not the way I want. I like the editor.

1. grifsin, a friend of mine started playing o!m and got me into it through multi
2. 8K IIDX style (7K+1)
3. [LShift] A W D [Space] J I L
4. Approximately 1 year and 3 months but unfortunately wasted half a year on autoconverts *sigh*
5. Ranked: tie between sakuzyo - ChaiN De/structioN (siilento's solid remix) by Entozer and C-SHOW - Workaholic by Agka, unranked: t+pazolite feat. Rizna - Distorted Lovesong (sadly gone) by Louis & ExPew
6. Hand Balance with med-heavy chords and occasional jacks, also scattered streams with chords mixed into them
7. Multi is more fun, but I can't play as well than on solo, so I'll stay with solo

10. Lots of maps that are unranked tend to be better than ranked maps in terms of how fun they are. ALL of my favorite maps are unranked, and because the ranking system is kind of fucky, they never will see ranked status unless pushed by the author of the maps heavily. LOL @Smooch 4k MX, sure sure sure we'll just give you ranked status even though your sv changes are so well thought out

11. Ofc, but I don't mesh with the community at all. I can't seem to get it like I normally can on other communities. Minecraft was easy for me to get into I guess b/c everyone generally speaks english off the bat. In osu!mania, nobody seems to be of American or British decent. Just a cultural thing, I dunno

5. "Infinity overdrive" or "Kizuato" there are other songs I like more but these have good beatmaps to go with them.

1. Found it after playing osu standard for a month and I had played guitar hero before so I like this type of game

2. I like and play all keymodes but I guess it's 7K because there are more maps for it

1. I was bad at osu! standard so I tried the other modes: mania was the one I had the more fun to play.

1. Saw Candy Galy (one of my favourite 4K maps) here so I decided to start playing this
2. 4K because that's the only one I can play correctly
3. LShift Z / RShift, it would be ZX./ normally but my X key is starting to die on my kb after a year of keysmashing
4. Sometime in February this year
5. Chain De/struction or Blue Meteor I think
6. Long streams without awkwards patterns (anchors, minijacks etc)
7. Solo, MP is usually spent waiting for people with terrible internet to download and most of what's played is stuff I don't have :/
8. Staiain, because 4K speeeeeeeeeed and also because he's a really chill person and isn't hardcore competitive and got to his level by having fun instead of grinding
9. For 4k, LeiN-? not too familiar with mapping styles because they all look so similar lol (well the 4k ones at least). Staiain I guess if he makes more stuff (or converts more of his stuff wwww) Agka goes here for 7K too
10. Unranked with some exceptions, a lot of the ranked maps right now are really bad in terms of chart quality and aren't hard enough for me to have fun playing
11. I like the game and concept, ranking system is bleh, and ranked maps are BLEH but it's fun to idle in #osumania or something

No favorite types of patterning (It depends on the music)
If it makes sense and is fun to play, that is good

Multiplayer, osu is a really good social game. I play almost exclusively multiplayer, if no-ones online to play, then I would just log off.

No-one in particular, but there are many people I respect and many people who I'm friends with which are good. No favorites though.

9. Who is your favourite osu!mania mapper?
Agka and Entozer

10. Do you like to play unranked or ranked maps?
As long as they're mapped well, any are ok. But ranked maps are kind of bound by the ranking criteria and fear of 'overmapping' whereas unranked maps are more free and aren't restricted. The most fun maps are unranked, but generally, the ranked maps are more fun.

It's good enough to keep me playing! Though it could be a lot better.

5. no favourites 8hr+ game sessions mean i need a lot of variety o.o

1. Because 7k is similar to o2jam, and I enjoyed o2jam and stepmania a lot before moving to osu.

2. 7k, I also prefer 4k over 5k/6k/8k.

3. I use SDF HJK for 7k. L blocks J and K from working, so I moved over one key.

4. Since Osu!mania came out.

5. Favorite Ranked map: RYO - Shuffle Heaven, Unranked: rerulili - Nou Shou Sakuretsu Girl.

1. Fried my moms laptop and my dad's pc couldn't run standard over 30fps so I played mania because it didn't slow down my fps.

Solo, I dislike the limited multi interface as well as I am a player who likes to do things in my own pace

this is hard for me to answer because the people who made my favorite maps also made the ones i hate with a major passion.

I'd rather play fun superhard unranked maps, this is why i play all ranked ones on DT cause it's not really challenging to me without

I'd play it more if it wasn't for the input delay and framedrops, it feels choppy and awkward no matter how much i tweak settings so I'll say o!m is okay, I play it cause of the community, not the game itself haha

1. I used to play O2Jam when I was 4th? grade. One time during robotics club meating, my teammate showed me osu! and I was like "Hey! I know that game!". And so I downloaded osu! at home and I started playing osu! std, then I saw there were other modes, so I went and played them. Ended up playing mania until now since it's like the old times (online O2Jam, I only get to play O2Mania now).

2. 7 key

3. Used to be S D F (space) J K L, had to transition to S D F (space) Num 4/7 Num 5/8 Num 6/9 (depends on keyboard, I use 7-8-9 right now since I almost destroyed my 4-5-6 buttons) to fit hand.

4. Started playing mania last late December 2013 or early January 2014

5. Shoujo - Reminiscing, Double Universe, Bounce, P*light stuff, Agka maps.

6. Trills and/or Trees (Bride in Dreams type of pattern) (LN for the lulz!)

7. Multiplayer, as long as I play with people within my skill range. D:

8. Entozer (or some noob that's quite inspirational/I can learn from.)

9. Agka, no doubt (hands down)

10. Both, since there are also better unranked maps.

1. i had played stepmania/openitg for a long time before i found out about osu, so when i saw that osu!mania was a thing, i went straight to it

3. it was qwop, but my w key is screwed up, so i use askl now
